Chapter 1439: Chapter 468: Charge! Charge!

"You guys with your little squirt guns shouldn’t even bother showing up, real warfare depends on us."

"My old man said, you have to use tanks against tanks."

The players on the armored vehicle were not convinced, and retorted angrily.

"That’s a pathetic excuse for a tank!"

As soon as the words were spoken, a clanking sound came from the edge of the plain, the metallic clatter of tracks rolling over the ground, and at a very fast speed.

As the saying goes, good steel is used on the blade. Players currently don’t have a lot of superconductive materials to make floating engines, but the frontlines need armored power, so what do you do?

Use tracks.

All that floating tank stuff is nonsense, why not just fly to the sky?

Only tracked vehicles deserve to be called tanks!

Thus, the tracked tanks, long obsolete in the cyber era, were brought back onto the stage by Super Earth.

On two hefty tracks sits an outrageously large turret. The firing mechanism and barrel integrate through the center of the turret, with a heavy cooling sleeve at the back, making one wonder if a pillar was slapped onto the chassis and sent out.

This is a 105mm caliber electrothermal chemical cannon that heats compressed gas with a strong electric current, ionizes it into a thermal medium, and uses gas expansion to propel a projectile, with electromagnetic coils added for further acceleration. The muzzle velocity reaches ten times the speed of sound, with kinetic energy of 37 megajoules.

No shell, no propellant, no primer needed.

Armor?

Nonexistent

Just slap some average steel plates to fool the gunpowder rifles, and add an autocannon to suppress infantry.

In an era where offense far exceeds defense, no matter how thick the armor, it can’t withstand direct fire from an electromagnetic cannon.

Radar is handed off to drones within the same system, air defense too, and I’m only responsible for frontal breakthroughs, exploiting key points to the extreme.

With the lightest armor, the fiercest cannon, the best engine, you assemble the most peculiar tank.

As long as I can penetrate your defenses, nothing else matters to me!

The sole aim is to cooperate with allies and pierce through the enemy’s defenses as swiftly as possible.

Boom!

Before the vehicle appeared on the plain, a steel needle-shaped armor-piercing round the size of a crock pot crossed the horizon first, cutting a fiery red arc through the air, and instantly punctured the Claire tank.

This shell, which absolutely rivals the power of Claire’s main cannon, is far beyond what its armor can withstand. The Meissner barrier couldn’t even deflect the steel needle’s direction.

The frontal armor was instantly breached, and the metal jet rushing into the tank’s interior incinerated the crew into charred flesh.

If the Claire tank didn’t have an electromagnetic cannon with no chemical shells, the ammo dump would have ignited into fireworks.

The players in the tank crew who witnessed the tank’s halt through drones shouted loudly.

"We pierced the enemy’s armor!"

"We struck the enemy hard!"

"Awesome Class!!!"

But the war won’t stop because a tank is taken out; they just gained the upper hand with the first strike.

Super Earth’s advancing tactics involve mechanized scouting platoons barreling forward, and if they encounter a target that can’t be destroyed, they immediately report it to adjacent tank units, which take it out from extreme range.

Indeed, infantry charge ahead of tanks, cyborg soldiers are just that unreasonable.

Even in large-scale warfare, players’ outstanding personal combat prowess remains their advantage.

Elite European special forces can’t be this reckless...

Furthermore, both sides suffer losses in the initial engagements, but in this back-and-forth, prolonged rotations cannot hold.

Numerically disadvantaged, facing enemies with resurrection coins, it’s about trading lives on sight, puts you in a tough spot.

A voice interrupted the tank crew’s cheering, turned out it was a good brother.

"It’s not time for cheering, continue helping!"

The good brother in the MT-4 Super Earth proMAX had already been engaged with the opposing Power Armor squad. On the open plain, there was no cover, just a direct confrontation.

"Alright..."

The jubilant tank crew players immediately floored the gas pedal, forcefully pushing the tank to a speed of 80 miles per hour, but that alone wasn’t enough, remember this tank was modified from the Military Science floating tank, there’s a propulsion engine at the rear.

"What the hell is that thing?"

A British Army sergeant squatting in a foxhole was stunned after using binoculars to see the track tank with flames shooting out of its rear.

"I know."

A skinny tall soldier was also surveying the tank and said.

"I played a similar racing game on Ultramind, maybe it’s using nitro acceleration."

"Huh?"

The sergeant almost choked on his words.

So how exactly is this thing driven?

With this speed on such a bumpy road, can people inside the tank endure it?

And aren’t the tracks likely to break?

But the problem is destined to remain unanswered, as the enemy troops have already pressed forward.

The soldiers in the trenches of the United Kingdom raised their rifles and braced themselves.

Fortunately, at that moment, Soviet warplanes roared past overhead, dropping a series of white phosphorus incendiary bombs on the horizon, engulfing the entire world in flames, even those Horizon Mercenaries were within the bombing range.

This calmed their anxious mood... right?

No!

The roars of demons came from the flames.

"Ura!!!"

"For Super Earth!!!"

"The Red Flag across the universe!!!"

Stunned, the soldiers watched as demons charged out from the flames, covered in white phosphorus enough to burn through human bones, like human torches, even temperatures of thousands of degrees couldn’t stop their charge.

The sergeant used his cybernetic eye to zoom his field of view in horror, realizing some people’s synthetic skin had been completely burnt off, revealing metal-gleaming skeletons underneath.

Until synthetic muscles melt completely, these maniacs seemed unstoppable in their charge!

"Madmen..."
