Chapter 1095: Chapter 165: Mythical Level Blessing · Gold Holy Water Bottle (2)
The battle instantly entered a fevered pitch. Across the wilderness, golden light clashed fiercely against filthy pus. The charge of the Blazing Sun Knights tore through the enemy ranks; the Blazing Butcher and the Bright Guard’s infantry square were embroiled in a fight with the Plague Warriors, with Long Halberds thrusting and Heavy Swords slashing; the Holy Flame Sprayers continuously incinerated patches of enemies; while the Free Guild’s Hunters precisely terminated targets at the fringes.
Soon, the Dwarven cannons and War Car Forts arrived at the battlefield, Dorglin’s mobile roar: "Let those stinking carcasses taste the might of Dwarven steel and fire!"
With his roar, three heavy Dwarven Cannons and two War Car Forts quickly adjusted their firing angles. These mobile fortresses were masterpieces of Dwarven engineering. Heavy Fine Steel Plate Armor covered the body of the cars, with axles extraordinarily firm, enough to speed across rugged wilderness.
The front of the vehicle held a heavy Cannon, capable of firing hollow ammunition, a weapon for clearing dense corrupted infantry and igniting Plague War Horses. Shooting slots along the sides of the vehicle allowed Dwarven Thunder-Gunners or Human Crossbowmen to shoot outwards. More importantly, the car fort itself was a robust mobile shield providing instant protection for infantry, forming a temporary defense line.
Boom! Boom!
Two special "hollow shells" pierced the silence of dusk with sharp whistles, landing precisely at the core area of the Plague Knight Order and in front of their reserve unit. Amid the earth-shattering explosions, scorching flames erupted instantly, with intense shockwaves carrying blazing fragments sweeping outward! Plague Knights directly hit were blasted into pieces, man and horse alike, with filthy chunks and pus spraying everywhere; nearby war horses cried out in terror and pain from the flame’s impact, throwing formations into chaos. Knights not directly killed fell into brief confusion and sensory disorientation.
Almost simultaneously, the Ogre Magician Fire Gut unleashed his full firepower! Explosive magic interlaced on the wilderness ahead, forming a sea of death and flame, completely blocking the frontal charge and attempts to spread to the wings of the Rotting Saddle. Bright Guard infantry relied on the car fort, using Long Halberds and Heavy Crossbows to slaughter enemies struggling or trying to approach within the flame sea.
Gorg recovered from the initial bombardment shock, letting out a furious roar. He attempted to gather the Elite Knights not yet affected around him, initiating a counter-charge toward Dietrich’s position, aiming to tear through the net of fire. However, as they approached, the heavily armored Dwarven forces deployed in front of Dietrich’s position launched a fierce attack, relying on the car fort—something the corrupt riders couldn’t break through in the short term.
Gorg fell into an unprecedented bitter struggle. Tiberus’s Giant Axe carried the fury of the White Wolf’s revenge and the Purifying Power of the Fiery Sun, each clash leaving his corrupted body, enhanced with Leech Lord technology, in agony as the living armor sizzled under golden light, emitting billowing black smoke. Dietrich’s Purification Field was like an invisible shackle, stifling his ability to muster sufficient Chaos Energy. Meanwhile, Sogard’s violent and precise slaughter was rapidly diminishing his surrounding Elite Guards.
Attacked from both sides, morale wavered. The Rotting Saddle’s proud wandering tactics lost effectiveness against absolute power and ingenious encirclement. Plague Knights found themselves divided and surrounded, with six-footed warhorses retreating in terror, neighing before the dense Long Halberd Array and the flames of the cannons.
Gorg attempted one last struggle, his corrupted stomach pouch violently writhing, preparing to release an enhanced corruptive strike. Just as he diverted his attention to gather strength, Tiberus seized the opportunity, swinging his Giant Axe at a cunning angle, sweeping aside the giant scythe, gleaming dazzling light, and fiercely striking into the massive rotting hole in Gorg’s abdomen!
"Argh—!!!" Gorg emitted a heart-wrenching howl mixed with pain and desecration. The light of the Sun Goddess poured like molten lava into the core of his filthy power. The spirit of Nagash within the stomach pouch screeched under the Holy Light, dissipating into green smoke. His massive body convulsed violently, the seven huge pustules embedded on his helmet bursting one after another, pus streaming down like a waterfall.
At the moment Gorg stiffened from the excruciating pain, a frenzied figure descended like a meteor! The Chosen Butcher, Sogard, seized the fleeting moment. He leapt high, his Giant Axe imbued with sacred purifying power, carrying the resolute will to sever all evil, accompanied by ear-piercing whistling, and struck down fiercely!
Target—Gorg’s grotesque head, fused with the Ulcer Crown!
Crack—Splat!
Like splitting a ripe rotten melon. Divine Runes reacted intensely with filthy pus, erupting a dazzling white light and nauseating smoke. Gorg’s head, bearing a look of astonishment and eternal agony, along with his Ulcer Crown symbolizing Nagash’s "gift," was completely shattered and separated by Sogard’s Giant Axe! The enormous headless body swayed, the abdominal cavity spewing the last stream of Filthy Torrent ignited by the Holy Light, then crashing down, splashing a vast mixture of pus and charred earth.
The Chosen One fell!
The remaining will of the Rotting Saddle collapsed instantly. Without Gorg’s power to sustain them, the Plague Knights and their mounts began decomposing and disintegrating at a visibly accelerated pace. Pustules withered, bursting open, decaying flesh peeling like sludge, exposing skeletal remains, eventually turning into bubbling pools, emitting a foul stench. Those corrupted Pox Armor Attendants directly crumbled to the ground, becoming heaps of lifeless rotten flesh.
