The old woman nodded. "That's right. My husband and I have been running this shop together for over a decade. Our customers are all regulars. Oh, and the newspaper office across the street is huge. They come here to eat all the time, so business is booming."

Hearing the word "newspaper," an idea immediately sparked in Yao Shufen's mind.

She found the newspaper office and, sobbing uncontrollably, cried to President Sun Miao, "President Sun, you have to help me! My daughter, Shen Mingyue, was tricked by that Chen Qingdi into signing the Mingyue Group over to him! And he keeps trying to have me committed to a mental hospital! I'm not even his real mother, but he's treating me like this. This is elder abuse!"

President Sun Miao frowned and looked at Yao Shufen. "Ms. Yao, please calm down and speak slowly. We can use the power of the media to help you with this situation."

Hearing this, Yao Shufen's tears flowed even more freely. "Really? That's wonderful! This time, I'll make sure that Chen Qingdi is utterly ruined. After he tricked his way into owning the Mingyue Group, he's planning to transfer all our family's money away!"

President Sun Miao nodded. "Rest assured, Ms. Yao. We'll send our best reporter to interview you and broadcast your story so more people will know the truth."

Yao Shufen said repeatedly, "Thank you, President Sun! Thank you!"

President Sun Miao waved his hand dismissively. "Think nothing of it. Our paper is dedicated to upholding social justice and exposing wrongdoing. We will certainly stand on the side of justice this time and see that it is served for you, Ms. Yao."

And so, Yao Shufen began to recount her ordeal in detail.

She claimed she had never met such a vile son-in-law, one who not only stole their family company but also had her own daughter bewitched and sent to a mental hospital.

She said she had only found her way to the newspaper for help after escaping from the hospital herself.

President Sun Miao listened intently, occasionally jotting down notes on what Yao Shufen said. He felt this incident had immense journalistic value and would be an excellent way to expose Chen Qingdi's immoral behavior.

After Yao Shufen finished her story, President Sun Miao nodded.

"Rest assured, Ms. Yao. We'll have a reporter investigate immediately. We'll leverage the power of the media to get this story out and let everyone know the truth."

Yao Shufen was overwhelmed with gratitude. "Thank you, President Sun! Thank you!"

President Sun Miao waved his hand. "Don't mention it. Our paper is committed to upholding social justice and exposing misdeeds.

This time, we will definitely stand on the side of justice and see that it is served for you, Ms. Yao."

In this bustling city, there was a renowned company called the Mingyue Group. That day, President Sun Miao dispatched a reporter named Li Bing to interview Chen Qingdi.

Li Bing, dressed in professional attire with a camera slung over her shoulder, radiated an air of competence. 'I have to expose Chen Qingdi's vile nature,' she thought, 'and leave his reputation in tatters.'

However, when Li Bing arrived at the entrance of the Mingyue Group, she was stopped by security. A guard asked her expressionlessly, "Do you have an appointment? You can't see President Chen without an appointment."

Li Bing's anger flared instantly. She glared at the guard and snapped, "I'm a reporter! I'm here to expose Chen Qingdi for abusing his mother-in-law. If you don't let me in, I'll start a livestream right here!"

The security guards weren't about to put up with her attitude. They told her bluntly,

"If you're going to cause a scene here, we'll be responsible for throwing you out. If you're not afraid of making a fool of yourself, then don't blame us for getting rough!"

Not to be outdone, Li Bing started throwing a tantrum like a shrew. She shrieked, "How dare you stop me! I'll expose all of you!"

The guards, enraged by her shameless behavior, showed no mercy and laid into Li Bing with a flurry of punches and kicks. Beaten to the point of screaming and crying, Li Bing was completely powerless to fight back. Soon, the guards threw her out the main gate.

Standing outside the gate, disheveled and battered, Li Bing felt utterly dejected.

She had planned to use this opportunity to expose Chen Qingdi's misdeeds, but she had become the star of her own farce instead. She clenched her fists, silently vowing that she would not let this go.

Unwilling to accept defeat, Li Bing began to plot her next move. She decided to first gather some information before looking for another opportunity to get inside the Mingyue Group.

She went to a nearby coffee shop, ordered a coffee, and began to wait quietly for an opportunity.

「An hour passed in the blink of an eye.」

When Li Bing worked up the courage to approach the Mingyue Group again, she was once more stopped by the guards. This time, she didn't argue with them, but stood obediently to the side, waiting for an opportunity.

After a little while, a guard approached her and asked in a low voice, "Are you trying to see President Chen?" Li Bing nodded eagerly. The guard continued, "President Chen isn't in the office right now, but you can leave a business card, and we'll contact him for you."

Li Bing was secretly delighted and quickly handed over her business card. The guard took it, nodded at her, and then turned and left. 'Finally,' she thought, 'I'll get my chance to see Chen Qingdi.'

However, things didn't go as smoothly as she had imagined. When she came to the Mingyue Group again, she was stopped by security once more. This time, the guard told her, "President Chen is very busy. He doesn't have time to see you." Li Bing's anger flared. She demanded, "Are you going to let me in or not?"

The guards replied expressionlessly, "Sorry, we're just following the rules." Li Bing gritted her teeth in frustration, but there was nothing she could do.

Just as Li Bing was sinking into despair, someone suddenly walked over.

This person was impeccably dressed and carried himself with an air of confidence—clearly a successful man. He walked up to Li Bing and asked, "Are you trying to see President Chen?"

The sunlight was pleasant that day, but as Chen Qingdi sat in his office holding a cup of hot tea, he felt a faint sense of unease.

He didn't know what actions the reporter named Li Bing would take, but he had a feeling she wouldn't give up easily.

Just then, the head of security, Qian Laoliu, walked in, his expression somewhat grim.

"President Chen, someone claiming to be a reporter wanted to see you just now, but she didn't have an appointment, so I sent her away."

Chen Qingdi smiled faintly. He knew this certainly wasn't Li Bing's first attempt to contact him.

"Looks like someone is trying to stir up trouble for me," Chen Qingdi said. "If anyone else comes, just bring them directly to my office. I'll be waiting for her there."

Qian Laoliu nodded and left.

Before long, Chen Qingdi's phone rang. He answered it, and the voice of the newspaper's president, Sun Miao, came through the line.

"President Chen, I hear you've been quite busy lately. I was hoping we could meet for tea at a teahouse."

Chen Qingdi just smiled. He knew what Sun Miao was after.
