Chapter 810: 810:Fellow Daoist Help Me

Ethan found himself in an unusual space.

There was no ground beneath his feet, and there was no sky above him. His consciousness floated in a vast world where heaven and earth seemed to exist together. Endless clouds moved slowly through the distance while faint streams of light crossed the darkness, and the entire space carried a strange pressure that made Ethan feel as if he had stepped into another world.

He slowly looked around, his expression becoming more serious with every passing moment. The place was too vast to be called an ordinary soul space. It felt more like a complete world that had been formed inside someone’s consciousness.

And at the very center of this vast space, Ethan saw something.

A lotus.

It floated quietly in the middle of the world.

The lotus had countless colors flowing across its petals. Red, blue, gold, purple, green and many other colors mixed together, but none of them looked chaotic. Every color seemed to contain a different kind of power, and faint ripples spread from the lotus and reached every corner of the consciousness.

Ethan stared at it.

His body trembled slightly.

He swallowed.

"What the..."

Even Ethan, who had already seen countless strange things in this world, felt his heart tighten when he looked at that lotus. The sight was simply too grand. It was like looking at something that should not exist inside the soul of a human.

Then he heard something.

A small whisper suddenly entered his mind.

It was faint and distant, but Ethan could clearly feel that it was calling him.

Ethan turned his head.

The whisper came again.

He immediately moved toward it.

His consciousness swiftly crossed the strange space, passing through clouds and streams of colorful light. The farther he went, the clearer the voice became until he finally saw a figure standing in the distance.

A man was trapped there.

Chains covered his body and wrapped around his arms, legs and chest. Several thick chains extended into the darkness behind him, holding him firmly in place.

The green-robed man raised his head when he saw Ethan.

His expression immediately changed.

"Fellow Daoist, please help me."

Ethan’s heart skipped a beat when he heard those words.

Daoist.

Previously, it had only been a guess.

But now he was sure.

This man really was a cultivator.

Ethan looked at the chains before turning his gaze toward the green-robed man. He did not immediately move to help him.

"Before help, I want to know what’s going on."

"How did you come here and why are you trapped? Your strength isn’t that weak to be trapped by them."

The green-robed man made a saddened look and lowered his head slightly.

"It’s because I fell into the trap. I was fighting with the enemies of Demon Sect. During the brutal fight, the void broke and I appeared in this world."

He took a slow breath before continuing.

"When I appeared, I wasn’t able to manipulate my Qi, so I was weakened. I found that merchant group and in one way or another I was found by that heinous individual who, seeing my extraordinary abilities, decided to trap me."

Ethan’s eyes narrowed as he listened carefully.

"That guy wanted to experiment, but my body was too hard to experiment on, so they used some spell to trap my soul and turn me into a puppet."

The green-robed man’s expression became bitter. He pulled against the chains, but they remained firmly wrapped around his body.

"Fellow Daoist, please believe me. I am a righteous guy and one Heaven Prodigy of the Clear Sky Sect."

The more Ethan heard, the more shocked he became.

Demon Sect.

Clear Sky Sect.

Heaven Prodigy.

All of these words sounded exactly like something Ethan had heard countless times in cultivation stories.

"Cough... Fellow Daoist, please calm down."

Ethan looked at him for a moment before slowly relaxing his expression.

"I will free you from the hands of those guys, but before that I want to ask you about your strength. Which realm are you in?"

The green-robed man paused.

He seemed to hesitate for a moment before answering.

"I am at the peak of Mahayan Realm."

Ethan’s eyes widened."Mahayana Realm... Is it the realm before stepping into the Immortal Realm?"

A look of relief flashed in his eyes hearing this.If the guy said he was golden core or nascent soul,he might really lose it

"Yes... That’s real..."

The green-robed man suddenly paused.

His expression changed slightly as he looked at Ethan with confusion.

"I remember your world seems to be different, so how did you know? Or I am in the same world but things have changed."

"We will talk about that later."

Ethan waved his hand.

Several light swords immediately appeared around him.

The sharp swords floated quietly in the air and pointed toward the chains trapping the green-robed man.

"Before that I should rescue you."

The golden swords floating around Ethan suddenly moved. One after another, they shot toward the chains with terrifying momentum, leaving streaks of golden light behind them.

CLANG!

The first sword struck one of the chains.

A sharp metallic sound echoed through the strange soul world as cracks immediately spread across its surface. The sword did not stop and continued pushing forward with overwhelming force until the chain finally shattered.

CRACK!

The broken pieces of the chain scattered through the air and slowly disappeared.

The remaining golden swords moved at the same time.

One after another, they struck the chains holding Gu Cheng.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

Every impact shook the entire soul world. The chains tried to resist the swords, but Ethan kept increasing the force behind each attack. Soon, another chain broke, followed by another.

One by one, the chains were shattered.

The strange pressure that had filled the soul world slowly disappeared, and Gu Cheng’s body finally became free. He moved his arms and legs as if he was checking whether he could really move again.

Then he slowly stood up.

For the first time, there was no chain restricting his movements.

Gu Cheng looked at Ethan and cupped his hands with a serious expression.

"May I know the Daoist name."

"It’s Ethan."
