Chapter 809:Lock Him Up

Chapter 809: 809:Lock Him Up

But before the man could make another move, Ethan disappeared from his position.

The green-robed figure’s eyes moved slightly as Ethan slipped past his incoming attack and moved directly behind him. Ethan wrapped both arms around his neck, with his forearm locked tightly against the man’s throat while his other arm locked over it and created a tight hold around his neck.

The green-robed figure’s body stiffened.

Ethan tightened his grip and pulled his body backward.

"Got you."

He locked his legs around the man’s waist to keep him from escaping. The green-robed figure immediately grabbed Ethan’s arm and tried to pull it away, but Ethan’s grip only became tighter. His muscles bulged as Draconic scales spread across his arms and strengthened his hold.

The green-robed figure suddenly slammed his head backward.

BANG!

The back of his head struck Ethan’s face. Ethan’s head moved backward from the impact, and blood immediately flowed from his nose. His vision shook for a moment, but his arms did not loosen. He gritted his teeth and held on even tighter.

The green-robed figure slammed his head backward again.

BANG!

Ethan’s nose hurt badly, but he still refused to release him. He pressed his forearm harder against the man’s neck and kept his body locked against him.

"You’re not getting away."

Ethan shifted his weight and pulled the man’s upper body backward. The green-robed figure tried to turn his body and break the hold, but Ethan moved with him and kept his arms locked around his neck.

The man’s movements were fast and strange. He twisted his waist and tried to slip through Ethan’s grip, but Ethan followed every movement. Whenever the green-robed figure tried to stand, Ethan dragged him back down, and whenever he tried to turn, Ethan shifted his legs and locked his body in place.

The two rolled across the broken ground as Ethan refused to let go. Their bodies smashed through dirt and broken stones, and dust rose around them with every movement. The green-robed figure suddenly planted both hands against the ground and tried to push himself upward.

Ethan pulled him back.

BOOM!

Both crashed onto the ground.

The green-robed figure immediately tried to rise again. Ethan hooked one leg around his waist and used his other leg to trap his movement while pulling the man’s head closer to his chest. His forearm remained pressed tightly against the man’s throat.

The green-robed figure’s breathing became heavier. His hands reached toward Ethan’s arms again, and his fingers tried to pry them apart, but Ethan’s grip remained firm.

He wasn’t trying to beat him with punches anymore.

He was trying to put him to sleep.

The green-robed figure suddenly twisted his body with surprising strength. Ethan was dragged sideways and almost lost his position, but he quickly adjusted and wrapped his legs tighter around the man’s waist.

The green-robed figure tried to slam him into the ground again.

Ethan went with the movement and kept the hold locked.

Their bodies rolled across the battlefield once more. Dust covered their clothes as they struggled against each other, and the broken ground continued cracking beneath them from their combined strength.

The green-robed figure pushed against the ground with both hands and managed to raise his upper body. His muscles tightened as he tried to force himself upright.

Ethan pulled him backward again.

His forearm pressed tightly against the man’s throat.

The green-robed figure struggled harder. His shoulders twisted violently, and his legs kicked against the ground as he tried to break free. Ethan’s muscles shook from the effort, but he did not release him.

He shifted his arm slightly and tightened the lock around the man’s neck.

The green-robed figure’s movements slowed for a moment.

Ethan saw the opportunity.

He pressed his weight down and forced the man onto his back.

BOOM!

The ground cracked beneath them as Ethan immediately moved on top of him and pinned both of his shoulders down. The green-robed figure tried to push him away, but Ethan caught one of his arms and pressed it against the ground.

The man tried to twist his body.

Ethan shifted with him and kept his chest pressed against him.

The green-robed figure suddenly drove his forehead upward.

BANG!

His head struck Ethan’s face again.

Ethan’s vision shook for a moment, and blood ran down his face, but he still didn’t let go. His teeth clenched as he forced the man’s head back down and maintained the pin.

The green-robed figure’s other hand came toward Ethan’s face.

Ethan caught his wrist.

He pressed it against the ground beside the man’s head and held it there.

Now the green-robed figure was completely underneath him.

Ethan locked his legs around his waist and kept his forearm tight around his neck. The man’s body continued struggling beneath him as his legs kicked against the ground and his shoulders twisted.

His free hand pushed against Ethan’s chest.

But Ethan held him down with all his strength.

For several seconds, the two remained locked together.

Then the green-robed figure suddenly stopped.

Ethan’s eyes narrowed.

He felt it again.

That strange pull inside his soul.

His gaze immediately became serious as he realized the man’s sudden stillness wasn’t because he had given up. Something else was happening.

He saw the green-robed figure stop moving.

That’s when he felt an unusual pull in his soul.

Ethan felt a soul attack coming in and immediately prepared. He hardened his soul and summoned Soul Stamp, deciding to use it before the attack could completely take hold.

The moment he activated it, the sensation became stronger.

Something invisible suddenly grabbed his soul.

Ethan’s vision changed.

The battlefield disappeared from his awareness. The ground beneath him, the green-robed figure and even his own body seemed to fade away as his consciousness was violently dragged somewhere deeper.

Ethan’s expression hardened as he tried to resist the pull.

But the force was already taking hold of him.

His body disappeared from his awareness as his consciousness was dragged away.

He was pulled into the depth of the green-robed figure’s soul.
