Chapter 280:Torture Instruction Manual
Chapter 280: 280:Torture Instruction Manual
“You want to kill me!” Simon shouted, jumping off the bed.
A terrifying surge of power burst from him as he tried to channel his mana, but the next moment, it vanished.
“This…?” Simon froze.
He tried again but nothing happened.
“What’s going on?” he screamed with panic seeping into his voice.
“Keke,” Ethan chuckled quietly.
“Why do you think I am sitting here wasting time?”
Simon sniffed instinctively, then froze.
A faint, sweet scent lingered in the air.
“Ascorbia Power Gas,” he whispered in horror.
His heart trembled.
It was a potential B-rank herb. When burned, it released a gas that disrupted mana control. Prolonged exposure caused hallucinations and severe drowsiness.
It was often used in high-grade cigars or interrogations.
On any normal day, Simon would have noticed it instantly. But Ethan’s pressure and constant provocation had forced his focus elsewhere.
In such a situation,he failed to notice it.
“Where did you get that?” Simon demanded.
“I found it in the chamber after I killed that guy,” Ethan replied casually.
“I see…” Simon muttered.
Then he laughed.
“Hahahahaha!”
“Idiot… Kekke!”
“Then why aren’t you wearing a gas mask?” Simon snarled. “Don’t you know this affects you too unless you’re a poison master?”
With a roar, Simon charged and punched Ethan in the chest.
Simon was sure of one thing. In pure physical strength, no one could match him.
Better to gamble on brute force than wait helplessly.
BANG!
His fist slammed into Ethan’s chest, but instead of crushing flesh, pain exploded through Simon’s knuckles.
Crack.
“Why is your body so hard?” Simon staggered back, clutching his hand.
He then looked up in disbelief.”I’ve been screaming at the top of my lungs,” Simon shouted, “so why isn’t anyone coming?”
“Because I sealed this place with a sound barrier using magic,” Ethan replied calmly.
“Sound barrier?” Simon froze. “How are you using spells?”
“Aren’t you a Knight or this is an artifact.”
Ethan looked at Simon change behaviour.
’He is talking a lot.Might be the effect of medicine.
“Because I am a mage too.”Ethan smiled.
“Surprised?”
“No..I have seen Magic Swordsman.I am rather curious that you aren’t affected.”
Ethan opened his coat slightly and revealed a badge glowing faintly with holy light.
“The Sun God Insignia, from the Goddess of Light.”
Simon felt a chill crawl up his spine.
“You… how do you have this?”
“That’s not important,” Ethan said, stepping forward.
“What matters is what happens to you now.”
Ethan’s eyes turned icy cold.
The temperature in the room dropped sharply, frost forming along the walls.
“You dared to harm my family even after repeated warnings,” Ethan said, his voice low and steady.
“I was not joking when I sent you that message.”
Simon’s pupils shrank as black shadows seemed to crawl around Ethan’s form.
His mind started to fracture. He saw visions of chains, blades, and endless torment.
“Enough!”Simon pulled out a hidden blade and tried to attack but Ethan grabbed it and twisted his wrist at an unnatural angel.
“Everything I am today exists because of my family,” Ethan continued. “Anyone who dares to reach for them will be crushed.”
“AHHHHHHHHHH!”
A horrific scream tore through the chamber, echoing against the prison walls.
But no one came.
Simon’s mind shattered under fear, shock, and despair as the darkness closed in.And in that sealed chamber, only silence remained.
Ethan stood over Simon, his expression cold and unreadable.
Simon lay on the ground, his body twisted, breath coming in broken gasps.
Every attempt to move sent fresh waves of pain through him.The fear in his eyes was no longer arrogance or hatred. It was pure terror.
Ethan crouched down and picked up a thin book from beside the chair.Hall had handed it to him earlier with a strange look.
The title was simple and unsettling.
[100 Ways to Torture and Break a Person.]
Ethan flipped it open slowly.
“Oh,” Ethan muttered, scanning a page.”So hitting this point sends a lightning shock through the nerves.”
He pressed down lightly with his fingers.
Simon’s body jerked violently as a scream tore out of him.
“AAAAHHHH!”
Ethan tilted his head, watching carefully.
“Hm, it really does paralyze the body for a few moments.”
Simon’s limbs locked up, muscles spasming uncontrollably. His mouth opened, but only broken sounds came out.Tears streamed down his face.
Ethan turned another page.”Oh, and hitting just below that point disrupts breathing.”
He applied pressure again, precise and controlled.Simon choked, coughing violently as panic flooded his eyes.
“STOP… PLEASE…!” he begged hoarsely.
Ethan paused, observing him like a specimen.
“So this causes shock without killing the subject,” he said calmly.
“Interesting.”
Simon’s screams echoed, then faded into weak whimpers. His body trembled nonstop.
Another page was flipped.
“This one breaks mental resistance,” Ethan read softly.
He followed the instruction, tapping a nerve cluster.Simon screamed again, louder than before, mind unraveling.Memories, fear, and pain crushed him all at once.
Ethan straightened up slowly. He looked down at Simon, who was twitching helplessly at his feet.
Blood trickled from the corner of Simon’s mouth as his eyes lost focus.
The monster who once laughed now looked broken and completely shattered.
Ethan exhaled slowly and rubbed his forehead.
“Fuck…” he muttered.
“I really became an inhumane bastard, didn’t I?”
He stared at his own hands, then back at Simon. There was no satisfaction in his eyes, only emptiness.
He closed the book and set it aside.
“Ah, I wanted to experiment more,” Ethan said quietly.”But it seems you are done for.”
Simon could no longer respond, his body barely reacting.Only shallow breaths proved he was still alive.
Ethan turned away, his voice cold as ice.
“This is what happens when you touch my family.”
“I do not leave potential dangers alive,” he said quietly. “So goodbye.”
“I hope you have eyes to see Mount Tai.”
Leaving those words,Ethan’s image blurred and disappeared from the shadows.
