"Shameless..." Listening to his words, Iris Yates cursed through gritted teeth.

"Baby, you’re blushing. You’re so cute, it’s making me even hotter," William Quinn said as he carried her into the elevator.

The moment the doors slid shut, he couldn’t wait to capture her lips. His breathing was heavy, and his kisses were frantic, as if he were trying to make up for all the days they had been apart. He pressed Iris against the cold walls of the elevator car. She shivered and pushed hard against his shoulders, but his strength was overwhelming. She couldn’t move him an inch.

Eventually, her strength bled away. Her lips went numb under his demanding suction, and her tongue no longer felt like her own. He was utterly feverish and desperate, forcing his way in without a care for whether they had even left the elevator yet. Iris’s nails dug deeply into his shoulders, leaving several bloody scratches in his skin, but the pain only seemed to excite William more. He kissed her with even greater ferocity, leaving a trail of dark marks across her pale skin.

Two dizzying, chaotic hours passed.

Utterly exhausted from the torment, Iris lay limply on the bed. A thoroughly satiated William kissed her bare back, calling her "baby" with every breath. Afterward, he carried her to the bathroom to wash her.

Iris lazily lifted her eyelids and glanced at the bandages wrapped around his waist and abdomen. They were already soaked through with blood. He hadn’t known his own strength, and his wounds had torn open.

"Serves him right! I hope it hurts like hell! He’d better bleed to death!" Iris thought to herself. She didn’t spare him another glance and simply closed her eyes.

William looked at her, his blue eyes darkening. "Baby, I’m hurt. Why don’t you care about me?" He leaned in to kiss her swollen lips.

Iris dodged him. "I can’t wait for you to die."

"That’s so heartbreaking." William didn’t take offense in the slightest. Instead, he continued to cling to her affectionately. "I missed you so much. I missed you so much I almost went crazy. Baby, I love you so much."

Iris scoffed coldly. "You don’t know shit about love."

William didn’t care about her cold words. As long as she was willing to stay by his side, that was enough. He firmly believed that sooner or later, she would inevitably fall in love with him.

"Baby, I’ve prepared a gift for you. Rest for a while, and I’ll take you to see it when you wake up." William’s hands wandered dishonestly, caressing her all over. As he touched her, his breathing grew heavy again. But seeing how exhausted his baby looked, he held himself back. In the end, he took a cold shower to suppress his urges.

Iris had no interest in whatever gift he was talking about. She collapsed onto the bed and fell asleep shortly after.

William changed into a fresh set of clothes and had a doctor re-bandage his wounds. Then, he made his way to the castle’s basement.

The light from the wall sconces was dim. Inside the holding cell were freezing stone walls and a cold floor. A person lay sprawled on the ground like a dead dog, and the thick stench of blood permeated the air.

William kicked the iron door and let out a mocking laugh. "Look who we have here. So pathetic. If my baby saw you looking like this, she would definitely be disgusted by you."

The man on the ground twitched his fingers. His breathing grew heavier as he struggled to lift his head and look at William outside the iron door. William stood with an air of absolute superiority, staring down at him with contempt and disdain. Dried blood covered the prisoner’s face, making it impossible to distinguish his features.

The man spoke, his voice incredibly hoarse. "Let her go. She doesn’t love you at all."

As soon as the familiar voice rang out, it revealed his identity. This man was none other than the missing Nathaniel Monroe!
