Others Summon, I Forge Beast Armor
Chapter 167: Origin Realm, True Beast Master
〖Ding!〗
〖Congratulations, you have gotten a bond with the <Ashen Wolf>〗
Some miles away from the Death Farm in the Origin Realm, withered trees grew but there was a barren land.
Monsters cannot go there, and many beasts took detours when they saw the situation.
A modest and melodious light shone from there to the environment like the belly of a firefly.
It was coming from the camp that protected aspirants from monsters.
The light was a sign of a success in a bond solemnized by the Origin Realm.
The young summoner, Scarlett, stroked the Ashen Wolf’s fur patiently, while the beast ate desperately because it had not had a full meal in a long time.
There was a smile on the summoner’s face this time, a sign she was proud of herself for taming the Ashen Wolf successfully.
Anybody from Earth who saw what she did would be stunned and accuse her of taboo. But who cares? Because after all the Origin Realm was not Earth, and the magical rules are dissimilar in these dual existences.
Now, as a master of the Ashen Wolf, Scarlett named the Ashen Wolf the name Beth, for convenience.
The Ashen Wolf accepted this name by bobbing its head up and down whilst still eating all the beast food its new master gave her.
Simultaneously, achieving master status of this Ashen Wolf permitted Scarlett access to the Ashen Wolf’s system. From now henceforth, she can help evolve the Ashen Wolf and improve it analogously to how she has been doing with the Temple Energy Toad, who was once a Martian Frog.
Therefore, this Beast Master did not waste time carrying out her duty.
In just one minute, the Ashen Wolf finished eating the Beast Food, then devoured Evolution Crystals.
Thus, its evolution speed was extremely fast, and it obtained a Fortitude of 8.0.
The light symbolizing evolution enveloped Beth and her wolf form. Under the catalysis of the Evolution Crystal’s energy, new cells, new tissues, and new energy pathways formed.
As consequence, a stronger beast was born.
In other words, in only one minute, Beth evolved from an Ashen Wolf into an Alabaster Wolf!
"That is nothing short of amazing!"
Seeing the wolf become stronger and stronger, while also looking healthier and more confident, Scarlett was very happy.
Ashen Wolf <—> Alabaster Wolf was a Primal-grade Beast. This explains why it is an easy target in a monster-infested realm like the Black Sun Origin Realm.
However, even though this wolf’s rank was very low, Scarlett was not discouraged because of it.
She was not the kind of person who expected everything to go smoothly.
In movies, they call those kinds of people, a Mary Sue.
Just like a paintbrush is used for painting, while a pencil is used for sketching. If one thought a pencil was useless just because one wanted to paint with a paintbrush, that would be too unwise. It was better to first use a pencil to outline the shape.
Scarlett said to Beth, "Hello, girl. I am a Mythic-tier Summoner, and the Temple Energy Toad, Neo, is a Greater-tier Beast. However, although you are a Primal-tier Beast, that does not mean you are useless to us. You are definitely useful. As long as you open your heart and show your strength, you will become stronger very soon."
Scarlett stood up and looked around, and gestured to Beth, showing her the purpose of their trial.
After that, she introduced Beth to her Burning Sword and let Beth catch a glimpse of the First Glyph.
The Alabaster Wolf was frightened by the appearance of the Glyph, retreating and whimpering.
At the same time, the monsters around the camp were attracted by the Glyph, but the camp refused to let them enter nevertheless.
So there are different meanings the same thing has to two kinds of creatures.
Scarlett assured Beth that her goal was to conquer the apocalypse. The reason she showed her the Glyph was to explain why so many monsters were chasing them so closely—because the monsters were attracted by the Glyph.
This was warning Beth that she had to remain vigilant at all times, more than when she was not yet Scarlett’s Beast.
A great example of the greater the privilege, the greater the responsibility.
Neo said, 〖Congratulations, Master Scarlett. You have learned and perfectly used the Seduction Technique. But after putting this Beast under your umbrella, are you sure she is useful? Or will she cost us?〗
Hmph... Grrrr....
Beth growled at Neo.
Although Beth was a Beast that could not speak, all Beasts could understand speech, so she understood Neo.
Neo stuck out his tongue again and said defensively, 〖Hey, don’t look at me like that. Unfortunately, I am very stingy when it comes to using Evolution Crystals. But if you perform well, every penny you get is what you deserve〗
Scarlett said, "That’s right. Beth will not become a burden. In fact, she is exactly what we need, because she is like a map. There is a skill in her System called ’Trace-Free Guidance.’ This implies that even when there is no road, Beth’s sense of smell can always find a path. Beth can help us find our destinations, so we will not waste time encountering unnecessary threats."
Neo said, 〖Wow, that’s advantageous. At the same time, she can also help you find your Phoenix〗
"That is very smart, but my Phoenix is Mythic-tier. I doubt a Primal-tier skill from Beth can detect a Mythic-Rank existence. So we have to invest in evolving her. At least, at a higher rank, she can do it," Scarlett replied.
Afterwards, she added, "Beth’s other skill is ’Ghost Camouflage.’"
〖Ghost Camouflage: Possessing fur with the colors of dust, snow, and stone, the Alabaster Wolf can disappear or camouflage itself with objects.〗
"Disappear from the enemy’s sight within three seconds."
When Scarlett thought of the First Glyph, she liked that this skill was an excellent way to avoid monsters.
Because Beth can disappear immediately...
If the number of monsters becomes too many, you can activate the skill and find respite somewhere else.
In order to leave the Camp, this same skill must be employed.
Simultaneously, Scarlett also wanted to see Beth’s strength with her own eyes.
A Beast that was neither born nor awakened by her would actually obey her commands?
This was the first time she would witness it with her own eyes!
"Ghost Camouflage!"
Following her command, blue light glowed in Beth’s eyes.
Then the wolf, her Master, and the other beast vanished into dust and appeared somewhere else.
Learning the Seduction Beast-Taming Technique and taming Beth was like a ray of hope for Scarlett. Why was it a ray of hope? Because it allowed her to see the hope of taming the Phoenix again.
However, considering that Beth was a Primal-grade Beast while the Empyrean Phoenix was a Mythic-grade Beast, the difference between the two made Scarlett worried about whether this method was amphibious.
A big difference separated a Primal-grade beast and a Mythic-grade beast.
You cannot use a Primal-grade beast to train for an encounter with a Mythic-grade beast.
Maybe there are more variables to consider during the encounter. That is why Scarlett kept an open mind.
The Seduction Technique is only the know-how. The rest depends on the Beast.
WHOOSH!
Ghost Camouflage appeared again.
After disappearing from the camp, Scarlett and her Beasts appeared before a stronghold in an unknown location in the Origin Realm.
A perfect description of the stronghold... Its size was enough to be as large as five hundred Blood Castles! Crisscrossing and vast, it was the most boundless place in the Black Sun Origin Realm!
Even the Black Sun looked down upon it.
However, before entering, some monsters were loitering and were attracted.
Scarlett checked Beth’s System to see skills such as Intangibility, Life Drain, Weather Immunity, and Indifferent Howl.
Intangibility is a skill to temporarily turn into mist or colorless vapor, allowing the beast to pass through attacks or objects.
Indifferent Howl forces enemies into shock and paralysis.
Weather Immunity means the Wolf has resistance to the harshest climates.
Scarlett was impressed by this and was sure that the ’Eye of Potential’ talent would tell her of it when in mention of the Alabaster Wolf if she had the "Eye of Potential" talent.
To eliminate these monsters attracted by the Glyph, Scarlett gave the command:
"Intangible Run!"
WOOHHHRRF!
Intangibility was like a heat wave. Half material, half nothingness. The monsters could not touch the Alabaster Wolf at all!
Consecutively, Scarlett asked: "Intangible Claw!"
"Intangible Tail Strike!"
These commands encouraged Beth into seamlessness, tearing and killing the monsters in a flurry.
However, her attack power was not the strongest.
But her other skill—Life Drain—reduces the health of many monsters by half. Therefore, her attack power was quite sufficient.

A/N: Neo is an NPC and Beth is also an NPC. But Neo is an arranged NPC by the system while Scarlett stumbled upon Beth. This is why Scarlett and Beth have good chemistry and it’s clear their Contract Authority will be Cooperation- or Dominion-rank.
If Scarlett had the chance to bring Beth back to Earth as her beast, she has the chance to forget about Nymeria and start from scratch, evolving Beth from Primal-tier to Mythic with her new Refinement talent.
However, doing that means she’s running from the responsibility of taming Nymeria as she should.
So, she’s looking forward to having both Beth and Nymeria as hers. Fully cooperating.
