Others Summon, I Forge Beast Armor

Chapter 160: Gateway Of The Black Sun Origin Realm

  • Next Chapter

Scarlett knows that this battle was unwinnable.

Across from her was her aunt, a Platinum-level hunter. Behind her is the Golden Eldritch Manticore, an Ancient-level being on the verge of reaching Mythic status. A single swipe of that creature’s claws can turn a person into cubes. She and Luke combined cannot hold them off.

"We can’t fight head-on," she whispered. "A head-on fight will kill us. We have to stall her and find an opening to slip into the Origin Realm. Quickly."

At her command, the Empyrean Phoenix spewed fire on the ground.

A wall of fire rose, standing between them and Brienne.

Flames leaped high, crackling the rubble on the ground.

This was a good idea. The Origin Realm only allowed those invited to enter, so the sooner they got in, the less deadly this battle would be. Scarlett and Luke were eager to slip into the black door.

But Brienne wasn’t falling for it.

There was nothing she hadn’t seen before, so she was determined not to give them even a moment’s respite.

"Mogul, translate the fire for me and spread it throughout in a circle to enclose them."

FWOOSH!

All of a sudden, the fire that Scarlett’s phoenix manifested changed after Brienne’s commands.

Scarlett’s phoenix-breathed fire was orange-gold. Mogul’s fire was purplish-red. It spread out, engulfing everything. Fire was everywhere. These newer flames leaped up, blotting out half the sky.

However, Luke had something to say about that.

Initially, he was bothered that flames like this can be a problem because he didn’t have an Ice-themed beast armor to douse fire—that wasn’t his own—on demand.

Luke remembered the Titan Golem Gauntlet in his Forge Slot when he leveled up in the Pentegate.

He would do anything to have an Ice-themed Gauntlet.

An Ice-themed Gauntlet will complement his Hell Ape Gauntlet. One hand commanding Hell Fire, the other commanding cold, death ice. Too outstanding.

Nevertheless, an important trait as a summoner is knowing how to improvise. Using what you have, filling in what you lack, you have to be quick-witted.

Luke borrowed the power of the Olympian Serpent, summoning thick, wet vines from the ground to forcefully extinguish the purplish flames. Once extinguished, he flung a hand, the vines wheeling around, hence charging straight at the National Chancellor and her Beast.

"Mogul. Disperse that with tail."

FWOOOSH!

Luke’s attack fell apart uselessly into a swarm of ecstatic purple butterflies the instant the vines touched the tail of the half-scorpion, leaving no trace of damage to the Manticore or the National Chancellor.

As consequence, Mogul answered in kind — the same kind of vine, striking back.

"Hm? The same ability?" Luke wondered. "First the same fire as the Phoenix, now plant-based force. What else does it have? Nevertheless, Purgatory Charge!"

BOOM!

Luke punched through the attack, and during that, he had to admit, he felt how it was way stronger than his own, an auspice in power scaling he must come to terms with. Only by accepting there was a gap could he fight accordingly.

Meanwhile, Scarlett made another attempt to escape into the Origin Realm, but Brienne ordered her beast into the sky, and it landed on the opposite side before the portal, making the ground shake and pointing its giant stinger at Scarlett.

Meanwhile, since Mogul had left Brienne, Luke was alone with Brienne.

"A terrible mistake, you bitch!" Luke growled. "Fusion Technique—Lightning Dragon, paired with Hell Ape! Purgatory Charge, paired with Stormbreaker Run!"

BOOM!

Brienne Trump was sent flying by a fusion punch, spitting out blood.

But she dragged herself to her feet.

Her physique, her resilience, showed she was no ordinary person.

Luke’s most devastating close-range attack hadn’t killed her, meaning this woman definitely had something supporting her. But she was bleeding, which meant—she wasn’t invincible.

As for Brienne, an eighteen-year-old boy had knocked her to the ground, but she got up again. She could hardly believe her eyes.

She admitted it; she had underestimated him. She had even underestimated his fighting style. That punch, the timing was perfect. He saw an opening and struck.

This same boy pointed at her, ordering his Heavenly Immortal Tortoise to do something, and Brienne knew immediately that this was going to be detrimental to her.

Amigo, God of the Wastes!

What did Luke want him to do?

Assimilate 99,999 monster zones, then assimilate 999 dungeons.

And then?

Change the objective of all these zones and dungeons. Change it to only one—kill one person.

The National Chancellor to the Confederacy.

In other words, Amigo is going to "summon" approximately five million monsters to simultaneously attack Brienne Trump.

Amigo paused for a moment to do this. When he opened his eyes again, they shone like light bulbs, and their surroundings began to tremble.

Monsters, millions upon millions, were all summoned. The target was only one woman.

"Huh? You noxious brat!"

Brienne gritted her teeth, looking at the darkness coming for her. It wasn’t darkness; it was five million monsters gathered together.

"See you in hell later."

Luke left these words, summoning his Wing Guards and turning to fly to the portal to the Origin Realm.

Meanwhile, Brienne had no other choice because she couldn’t face five million monsters alone, so called Mogul back to her.

With Mogul gone, Scarlett had no obstacle in front of her to the Origin Realm. When she saw Luke flying back, she smiled and rode her Empyrean Phoenix into the portal.

This way, they could save some time.

Luke was also very close to the portal, and he glanced back to be sure the National Chancellor had been defeated.

Unfortunately, she hadn’t fallen.

The next moment, all five million monsters froze in place.

They were all petrified by the Golden Eldritch Manticore’s power.

Under normal circumstances, even if Mogul was a second plane beast, he couldn’t do something of this scale. Therefore, as death drew ever closer, Brienne chose to activate their Supreme State.

"Supreme State!"

Boom!

Now, black aura enveloped Brienne and the Golden Eldritch Manticore.

Indigo lightning flashed in their eyes.

For Luke, death seemed to have already appeared before his eyes too.

A second plane beast activating Supreme State?

This almost meant it could act according to the cultivation laws of the third, or even fourth, plane. The extent to which it could achieve this depended on the summoner and the beast’s wills.

In Supreme State, a magical beast could unleash power a hundred times greater than its current strength!

Luke’s expression turned grave as he felt petrified by the Golden Eldritch Manticore.

If all he possesses now is beast armor, and all his magical beasts are still at the first level, how could he possibly fight against such an existence?

It seems he has truly awakened a sleeping lion. And now, he must bear the consequences.

Meanwhile, Scarlett entered the Origin Realm.

〖You have arrived: Black Sun Origin Realm〗

〖Realm Laws: Infinite Aeon | Impervious to Aging | Soul Stasis | Rapid Recovery | Elemental Law | Chronos Law〗

An Origin Realm is a small world unto itself. It has its own laws and nature. Once you enter, you must abide by them. After all, you can’t disobey because the laws are imposed upon you.

Chronos Law governs how time passes within, unlike outside.

What might be a blink outside could be half a day inside; or vice versa. No one can say for sure.

Elemental Law governs which element prevails over others here. For example, if fire is strong, water must recede. If water is strong, fire must be extinguished.

Rapid Recovery governs injuries. Here, injuries heal much faster than outside. Torn skin closes while you are still in the same fight.

Soul Stasis law is where the soul and its existing spiritual connections are frozen in their current state, preventing changes to them until the law is removed or the individual leaves the Origin Realm.

Impervious to Aging is self-explanatory. Here, you will not age regardless of Chronos Law.

As for Infinite Aeon law, it means Aeon in the Origin Realm is effectively inexhaustible.

Scarlett had never seen anything like this before, and her heart pounded with unease, fearing she was unprepared. But then she thought that these laws might not be all bad, and some might work in her favor.

Look at the rapid recovery, then look at the infinite Aeon. One gives you inexhaustible energy, the other heals your wounds quickly, physically and mentally. Aren’t these two gold mines?

〖You have entered: Old Village. Please complete the tasks before proceeding.〗

This Old Village is dilapidated, with crooked walls and collapsed houses, as if no one lives there.

But Scarlett saw a living creature here. She was a little bewildered, unfamiliar with the place, and worried about Luke because they were supposed to come together, but he hadn’t arrived yet.

The creature in question was a frog.

Fat, big, and strong. Its body was garish, brightly colored and patterned.

In the wild, the brighter the color, the more dangerous it is, so Scarlett didn’t approach, watching from a distance.
