Others Summon, I Forge Beast Armor
Chapter 154: Drive To The Origin Realm
Brienne never doubted whether she was going to be successful. She was a summoner with a beast at Second Plane; what’s there to doubt about mere Soul Projection that even 16-year-olds are taught?
So, what she doubted was the quality of her success. And as proof of her power, her result was high quality.
Now, Brienne could find her niece. Although there wasn’t a strong Ancestral Soul Imprint between her and her niece, Scarlett, Brienne had Ancestral Soul Imprint with her brother, Arnold.
This being so, Brienne used her Ancestral Soul Imprint with her brother to link it to her niece, so therefore projecting her soul can help her find where her niece’s soul is on the current Earth before her niece can enter an Origin Realm where such connections would "lose signal."
Earth was vast, and there were so many people, but she focused on the direction of her bloodline, remaining calm and composed.
This process was successfully achieved!
Brienne slowly withdrew the technique, opened her eyes, and the aura of her beast, the Golden Eldritch Manticore, slowly dispersed.
"Junior Sister Brienne, care to share?" one of the Spirit Beasts spoke up, shaped like a nine-tailed fox.
"Honored Spirit Beasts." Brienne said. "Bear with me a moment, hear me out. Believe it or not, I’ve found a human who can restore your kind back to life. If this man manages to do that for you, it would be a tremendous honor to host your physical presence within the Golden Order."
The Spirit Beasts exchanged glances among themselves.
They knew Brienne wasn’t one for idle jokes.
They nodded, believing her, and asked no further questions.
After that, Brienne left the Seventh Supreme Division and the Shrine. Later, she garrisoned a motorcade of SUVs with some servants and subjects, then they sped off and out of the estate.
On the balcony of the second floor of the manor, a disappointed Arnold watched his sister’s convoy leave through the gate.
He couldn’t make sense of what she was after and why she wouldn’t leave Scarlett alone. And he couldn’t stop her, nor could he order her to restrain herself. If he did, outsiders would think that the Trump family was fractured.
Therefore, letting her act independently was the best way to maintain the family’s dignity.
Meanwhile, Luke and Scarlett was leaving the city, unbeknownst to them that Scarlett’s aunt had just placed a spiritual tracker on her niece.
Scarlett never underestimated her aunt, but she had no idea such a technique existed. So for now, everything seemed to be going smoothly and according to plan.
Along the journey, Scarlett didn’t explain to Luke why she had disappeared all these days, or the tangle of things behind that disappearance.
Like how her aunt suggested peeling one layer of skin from Luke each time they were seen together.
While this was an exaggeration, it illustrated the perilous situation Scarlett had dragged Luke into. Luke, meanwhile, had only been living his own life peacefully, running his dimensional trade, evolving his Mythic beasts.
Outside the car window, the suburban scenery receded.
Luke leaned back in his seat with his eyes closed.
Scarlett opened her mouth several times, then swallowed the words back down. Some things, she couldn’t bring herself to say. Some debts, she didn’t want Luke carrying on her behalf.
Suddenly, a voice came out of nowhere, no one knew where from.
"What’s this strange-looking compass thing? Hm, probably for tracking, to know where you two are headed. May I ask, where exactly are you two going?"
Screech——!
The tires of the car swerved, and the steering wheel jerked in Scarlett’s hands. Half-scared out of her mind, she nearly lost control of the car!
Luke was also startled.
Guess who was sitting in the back seat?
Amigo.
"How’d you get here? I didn’t Summon you..."
Amigo laughed: "Master, trust me. Now, I don’t need your say-so to come out. Hahahaha."
"I can assimilate into another world, so tell me, isn’t your soul space and the area around you just a thinner membrane?"
"This is impossible..." Luke said. "I’m the Summoner here."
"What you Summon, primarily, is Beast Armor," Amigo said. "The deeper the Beast revived evolves, the more independent it grows. And by now, I’m nearly fully independent. Doesn’t mean I’m any less loyal, though. Quite the opposite — my loyalty’s a thousand times stronger!"
Luke scratched his head, trying to work out what this notorious tortoise was going on about now.
He remembered telling himself— his real strength lay in Beast Armor, not in the War Beasts that came after, and this is something he shouldn’t forget.
Looked like he’d forgotten it anyway.
Nevertheless, just thinking about it: a Summon Summoning itself out on its own kind of broke the whole meaning behind the words "Summoner" and "Summon" in the first place.
Luke stuck out a finger, pointing it at Amigo’s topmost eye.
"You’d best behave. Don’t go summoning yourself out wherever, whenever you please. Or else this finger’s going straight into that eye of yours. Understood?"
"Understood, Master Luke," Amigo replied.
Meanwhile, Luke relaxed because the car had stabilised now.
"By the way," he said. "We’re heading to an Origin Realm called the Black Sun Origin Realm. Hell-Level. Scarlett and I both think clearing it will get us some important intel about the Apocalypse’s return, something that could help humanity. This compass here is for locating the Origin Realm."
"Having me along is a good thing," Amigo said. "If the tracking runs into trouble, I can step in. I’ve got Nature’s Call, and Environmental Assimilation too."
"Right," Luke said. "In a place like The Wastes, knowing your way around matters...
What? You’re not scared of The Wastes the way you used to be scared of Skeleton Town?"
"Why would I be scared?" Amigo said. "I’m not that little Astral Tortoiseling anymore. These days, I can Assimilate into a thousand Monster Zones there. Essentially, that makes me the god of The Wastes."
Luke stroked his jaw thoughtfully, wondering: so does this mean Amigo could assimilate himself to the Origin Realm and make it easier for Luke and Scarlett to clear?
He turned to look at Scarlett, about to ask if she was thinking the same thing.
But Scarlett looked like she’d seen a ghost.
Her face was deathly pale, one eye fixed on the road, the other eye on the rearview mirror, she was scared out of her wits by the thing in the back seat.
Luke smacked his forehead.
"Ah. Scar, my apologies. This is Amigo. He’s Evolved. He’s the Heavenly Immortal Tortoise now."
