Chapter 2294: Chapter 1146: Encounter (2)

But they were navigating in the void right now, and although occasionally encountering some terrifying void monsters in the void is possible, those monsters wouldn’t appear in such large groups.

The sudden appearance of so many signals could only mean one thing: they had encountered another fleet.

"Indeed, our peers have arrived, haven’t they, Miss? Are you implying we should let them scout ahead for us?"

Sophia wasn’t too surprised by these unknown signals, as she had long been expecting this scenario.

Previously, Miss had already informed her that aside from their group of witches, they might encounter other groups in the Mechanical Wilderness, and now that the Mechanical Wilderness was within reach, encountering colleagues was only natural.

"There’s no rush, let’s first see where our peers are from, shall we?"

Dorothy stood up from her main seat on the high platform.

The Magic Power surged through her, and the little creatures on her shoulders let out a loud tiger’s roar and dragon’s chant. Then, Buster transformed into the Cross Coronet Staff, while Fafnir formed a red and black battle robe.

Guests had arrived, and as the star of the show, the homebody witch naturally had to dress appropriately to show courtesy.

"Little Fairy, are you alright?"

"Sister....."

"Elder Sister....."

The virtual command interface popped up with several communication interfaces, displaying videos from the sisters managing other sub-fleets.

"Don’t worry, it’s a small issue. Just keep your teams steady and wait for news from Sophia and me."

It was their first time on the battlefield, so naturally, they were a bit flustered. It was also Dorothy’s first time on a real battlefield, and she was quite nervous herself, but as the General of the fleet, she had to maintain composure. Even though she was anxious, she couldn’t show it, so the homebody witch calmly reassured her sisters.

Dorothy wasn’t the same Dream Team rookie who used to get pounded; now, well-studied in military strategies, she knew that as the commander-in-chief, she was the brain and core of the army. On the battlefield, anyone could panic, but the General could not. Even the strongest army would be ineffective under a cowardly general.

As expected, seeing the homebody witch’s confident demeanor, as if everything was under control, the sisters felt much more at ease. They all sighed in relief, ended communications, and started their respective tasks.

After the sisters disconnected, Dorothy finally sighed in relief herself.

"Miss, I am still here, you know. Aren’t you worried about affecting me with your sighing?"

Sophia commented sarcastically.

Though the Pure White Witch said this, she was the one who was truly calm and unhurried.

"You’re my source of courage, my Miss God of War. Besides, my bluffing can’t fool you anyway."

Dorothy responded matter-of-factly to the Housekeeper’s banter.

Indeed, though she had a reputation like Guigu Zhuge’s, the simulations and reality were not the same. The homebody witch was a bit nervous, but while she was an armchair strategist, Sophia had real battlefield experience, which comforted Dorothy considerably.

Hearing this, the Pure White Witch’s lips curved slightly.

"Now, you are the General, my Lord. Fear not, for I am forever behind you."

She said this softly.

"Hehe, that’s indeed reassuring."

Dorothy replied with a smile.

Then, they both turned their gaze back to the virtual command platform hovering in midair ahead.

As the red dots on the radar approached, another massive fleet soon appeared within visible range.

The first to appear was the endless light piercing the void, followed by the grandeur of a resonating Holy Song, and finally, the sight of massive warships with elegant white wings and beautiful churches built on their decks.

This design, reminiscent of the Revelation Battle Group’s ships, was even more ancient and sacred.

This was expected, for the Revelation Battle Group, or rather, the Angel Witches, were the imitators.

This was genuine heaven style.

This was truly the fleet of Angels.

"Turtle, what do I see, a Blazing Angel Class warship? Has some King of Angels personally come forth?"

Upon clearly seeing the scale of the Angel Fleet, Dorothy was genuinely surprised.

In the center of the Angel Fleet, surrounded densely by other warships, was a colossal and majestic golden warship. By eye alone, one could sense its power and majesty.

Heaven’s warships had a strict ranking system, unlike the simpler classifications witches used. Their system was much stricter, with both warships and Angels being rigorously categorized into nine levels.

Only Angels of a certain level were permitted to command warships of the corresponding level, and the sudden appearance of a Blazing Angel Class warship signified a real Seraph had arrived on the battlefield.

And what is a Seraph? That’s a King of Angels.

But even with the Mechanical Wilderness being a rare Nine-star Gold Contract World, was it enough to warrant a King of Angels to lead personally?

"It might not be a true King of Angels, Miss. Have you forgotten about the young King of the Future?"

Sophia reminded her.

At her words, Dorothy suddenly recalled that young Seraph who had been bested in a chess match with her.

"Miss Michael?"

The homebody witch couldn’t help but admire the grand aura of that Seraph lady who had been out of sight for a while.

But in heaven, one’s innate rank dictated everything. Even though Miss Michael was still young, her chariot, her subjects, her fleet, her palace, her throne—everything was already prepared and waiting for her growth and coronation.

"Speaking of which, Sophia, if you followed Aunt Gabriel back, your treatment would be even better, wouldn’t it?"

Dorothy thought of this.

"Naturally, although Miss Michael is excellent, she is still a slight notch below me."

Sophia gestured a little bit smugly.

But it was true she had no reason for modesty, given her far superior background and Talent.

"But heaven can’t give me the sense of security I have now."

The Pure White Witch suddenly looked at the homebody witch and said.

Dorothy: "....."

The homebody witch blushed.

Damn, Sophia, this is the battlefield. Keep your strategy focused on the war, alright? Don’t shake the troops here.

She was slightly dizzy from the directness and didn’t dare to look sideways at the Housekeeper. Instead, she stared with wide eyes at the Angel Fleet in front of her.

Sophia looked at the shy Miss and showed a triumphant smile.

Before long, the command platform received an unfamiliar communication request, which must have come from the Angel Fleet opposite them.

"Zero, connect it."

Dorothy instructed the Maid.

Soon, the view from the other side was displayed on their screen.

As expected, the one who appeared was Miss Michael, the future King of Angels.

At that moment, the blonde eight-winged Seraph sat majestically on the throne of the temple, wielding a scepter of authority and a splendid Divine Sword.

Below the throne, her subjects stood in two lines—on the left, Battle Angels adorned in glorious Battle Armor wielding weapons; on the right, Priest Angels in luxurious sacred robes holding holy scriptures.

Now, all eyes on that opposite side, through this communication screen, were directed at Dorothy and at Sophia beside her.

Indeed, they were looking at Sophia, and Dorothy was just the one beside the Pure White Witch.

To these Angels, Sophia mattered much more than Dorothy.

Only Miss Michael’s gaze remained steadily on her.

"Miss, should we consider an alliance?"
