Chapter 80

Orion raised an eyebrow at the result.

To think that it had taken a physical force of 300 just to break the Golden Mirror into two pieces... It was somewhat surprising, although not entirely unexpected.

After all, the Golden Mirror was a Mythical-grade treasure. An item capable of producing such a remarkable effect naturally wasn’t something that could be broken easily. Even with his physical strength doubled by the blue blade and his Telekinesis amplifying the force behind his punch, he had still needed to exert tremendous power just to shatter it.

Orion shifted his gaze toward the two figures standing right before him.

Two figures who looked exactly like him.

His clones.

Orion nodded toward them, and both clones immediately understood what he meant. There was no need for words between them since they possessed the same appearance, memories, and understanding of the situation. They didn’t need to waste time explaining anything to one another when they already knew what needed to be done.

In the next instant, all three figures vanished.

One headed toward the northern side of the city, another toward the southern side, while the last headed east, toward the city gate... the very place where the monster hordes were pouring into the city.

A dagger appeared in each Orion’s hand.

One white.

One blue.

And one red.

The three blades gleamed with their respective colors, each carrying powers that were anything but ordinary.

Orion had decided to take the battle seriously.

Who knew? Perhaps the dungeon boss would finally provide the thrill he had been looking for.

As for this set of monsters, he had already tested them, and his conclusion was simple.

They weren’t worthy.

---

The first Orion landed calmly on a large counter.

Beneath him, the street was filled with the stench of blood and death. Several Webfiends were tearing into the bodies of humans who had long since died, their grotesque mouths and deformed faces making the scene even more horrifying.

These were the unfortunate people who hadn’t managed to escape fast enough. Their lives had ended beneath the claws of the monsters, leaving their corpses scattered across the street as the Webfiends feasted upon them without the slightest hint of mercy.

Orion gazed at the scene, his rainbow-colored eyes remaining majestically calm as he slowly exhaled. There wasn’t the slightest ripple of emotion on his face, even as he took in the sight of the dead humans lying beneath the monsters’ feet.

Then he moved.

His figure shot directly into the midst of the Webfiends.

The monsters immediately noticed his arrival. Their grotesque heads turned toward him, and a series of loud, heavy growls erupted from their throats. Their terrifying eyes fixed on the lone human who had dared to approach them, and without the slightest hesitation, they lunged at him.

To them, Orion was nothing more than another piece of prey, a foolish human who had delivered himself straight into their claws.

Unfortunately for them, they had made a terrible mistake.

Orion’s white blade flashed.

In that instant, the temperature around him seemed to plummet. An intense chill spread through the air, and a cold breeze escaped his lips as he activated Flash, causing the world around him to slow to a crawl.

Every movement, every twitch of the monsters’ bodies, and every desperate attempt to attack him became painfully slow in his eyes.

And Orion moved.

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

His figure flickered through the horde, leaving behind nothing but fleeting traces of white as he cut through the monsters at astonishing speed.

A Webfiend’s head slowly slid from its neck.

Another suddenly developed several thin lines across its entire body. For a brief moment, it remained standing, seemingly unaware that anything had happened, before the thin lines widened and its body separated into countless cleanly sliced pieces.

The monster fell apart as though someone had diced it with a blade of unimaginable sharpness.

What remained barely resembled the terrifying creature it had once been. Looking at the pieces scattered across the ground, one might have mistaken them for a chicken prepared for cooking rather than a monster that had once struck fear into the hearts of countless humans.

And Orion’s rampage didn’t stop there.

With his cold, calm gaze fixed on the remaining Webfiends, he continued tearing through the horde with an enigmatic grace that made the entire scene seem almost unreal.

His movements were precise, his attacks merciless, and his expression remained unchanged throughout the slaughter.

There was something deeply unsettling about the contrast between his serene appearance and the horrifying scene unfolding around him. He looked almost peaceful as he cut down one monster after another, as though the lives he was ending were nothing more than insignificant obstacles standing in his way.

The Webfiends had shown no mercy to the humans they killed. Now, they were receiving a fate even crueler than the one they had inflicted upon their victims.

Cries of pain filled the air as Orion continued his relentless assault, his white blade flashing through the horde while the monsters fell one after another.

Ding! You have slain a Level 11 monster, Webfiend. You have gained 1 EXP.

Ding! You have slain...

Ding! You have slain...

Ding! You have slain...

The notifications appeared one after another across Orion’s screen, their constant appearance almost enough to fill his entire field of vision.

However, Orion paid them no attention. His focus remained entirely on ending the lives of the monsters before him, and he had no intention of wasting time staring at notifications when there were still countless Webfiends running rampant throughout the city.

Every second he spent fighting was another second in which more humans might die elsewhere. He needed to clear the streets as quickly as possible, and checking his notifications wouldn’t help him accomplish that.

Besides, this Orion wasn’t the only one causing carnage.

---

The second Orion stood still for a moment, ignoring the endless notifications bombarding his screen.

His rainbow-colored eyes flashed as countless streams of information passed through his mind. Origin Eyes was analyzing the situation around him, processing details that an ordinary person’s mind would never have been capable of comprehending and piecing together the information with frightening speed.

Yet, as the analysis continued, his brows furrowed slightly.

"They’re in trouble," Orion said.

His voice remained as calm as ever, as though nothing in the world could shake it, no matter how terrible the situation became.

However, the information his eyes had gathered told him everything he needed to know.

The situation was worse than he had initially expected.

Ding! Flash skill has been activated.

A second later, Orion vanished.

---

Meanwhile, back at the City Lord’s bunker...

Several civilians hugged themselves in fear and despair as they watched the swarm of monsters rushing toward them.

The Webfiends advanced like an endless tide of abominations, their grotesque bodies surging through the streets as though nothing in the world could stop them. Their numbers continued to grow, and every passing moment brought the threat closer to the people who had gathered inside the bunker.

Of course, the warriors had tried to stop them.

They had taken their positions at the front, fighting desperately to prevent the monsters from reaching the bunker. Their weapons flashed, their skills erupted, and their attacks tore through the advancing horde as they did everything in their power to hold the line.

For a while, they managed to keep the monsters at bay.

But the Webfiends were simply too numerous.

There were far too many of them.
