Chapter 241: 241: Blessed Female.

The whole atmosphere was tense. Everyone stared at Ayra and then at the S-rank snake monster, wondering what would happen next.

Ayra was rather confident in her decision as she stayed there for a while, her hands stretched out while she smiled warmly at the monster.

At first, the beastmen were skeptical. They doubted that this wild monster would easily give in to Ayra. It was a legendary S-rank monster, after all.

So they were scared of what might happen, making attempts to protect Ayra in case anything went wrong.

But the S-rank snake monster slowly closed its eyes as it lowered its head toward Ayra.

This had everyone gasping in shock as they moved backward, staring closely while the monster slowly approached Ayra, its head moving closer to where she stood.

As soon as the snake’s head drew closer, Ayra smiled and gently patted it on the head, caressing its scales until the snake hissed softly.

The snake felt its nerves calm as it slowly relaxed.

"It’s okay..."

Ayra used gentle words of comfort while continuing to pat the monster. Soon, the snake hissed softly again as its body slowly began to shrink.

"Is that...?"

"The wild monster is..."

"Oh...?"

The beastmen all stared in surprise as the gigantic green snake from earlier slowly decreased in size until it was about half the size of the tribe lords standing nearby, still almost as tall as Ayra.

Ayra smiled as she stared at the calm monster before her. When the snake opened its eyes, it stared at Ayra with surprise and confusion.

Its physical injuries had faded, and it could feel itself becoming soothed and relaxed. The snake’s golden eyes rested on Ayra before it finally spoke.

"So the rumors were true. There is a Blessed Female here who is able to soothe wild monsters like us..." he said, leaving everyone surprised.

"It can speak..."

"I didn’t know that..."

"And what does it mean by rumors and Blessed Female?"

Ayra was surprised as well as she stared at the snake. She managed to smile as she said, "You’re better now..."

[Rewards: Improved Evolution Status]

[C-Rank Female]

[Evolution Status: +19% = 99%]

Ayra blinked at the system, rather speechless. She couldn’t believe that the system had left her evolution at 99%.

Was this some way of pulling her leg or something? Why couldn’t it just hit 100% so she could advance and stop transforming randomly or whatever?

She sighed and shook her head.

[Host Note: The S-Rank Green Snake has an internal injury that hasn’t been healed and cannot be healed by the Female at this moment.]

Ayra raised an eyebrow, curious and confused. "Huh? Why is that?" she asked the system internally.

[Host will have to naturally find out soon.]

[Healing Internal Injury Unlocks Reward for Host.]

Ayra sighed as she stared at the snake, who still had his curious eyes on her.

"Do you perhaps know about me?" she asked.

"Everyone has come to know about you... Your energy is quite something," the snake said, leaving Ayra surprised.

She didn’t leave the tribe or move around at will, so how did "everyone" know about her and her energy?

She didn’t really have a good idea about that.

The snake slowly leaned down in a slight bow. "I am highly grateful for your healing and soothing..." He looked around himself. "I feel so much better now."

"At first, I was scared that you wouldn’t help at all, but rather..." He hesitated. "But I’m grateful for your help."

"And why wouldn’t I help?"

The snake hesitated before saying, "Everyone also knows of the vile F-rank Female..."

"...."

Ayra blinked. She guessed this Villainess reputation was rather global at this point.

At that moment, Lord Zark and the others walked up to the scene, standing close to Ayra.

"And who are you...? As an S-rank monster, you shouldn’t casually be here discussing... What do you want?" Lord Vale inquired.

They didn’t seem to understand why he was being civil instead of attacking them. It made him even more suspicious.

The Green Snake sighed without saying anything for a while.

Ayra stared at him before asking, "Internal injury..." She paused. "What happened to you?"

The snake stared up at her, speechless. He was shocked by the fact that Ayra had actually picked up on it.

"How did you know that...?"

Ayra smiled. "I just do, I suppose."

The snake shook his head. "Then I guess all the rumors are true. A Blessed Female indeed." He sighed before saying, "We are saved..."

Ayra tilted her head. "And what’s that supposed to mean?"

The snake sighed as he continued, "It’s surprising that you were able to pick up on that... No one has ever noticed the internal damage."

He shook his head as he continued, "This only means we were right..."

Commander Lynn stepped forward. "Right about what? What are you on about?"

Everyone stared curiously now. They wanted to know what this snake was talking about and why he was loitering around their tribe.

But the snake finally spoke.

"I can’t express everything myself... My words and status are limited. So, if you don’t mind, you can come along with me to meet our Queen."

He hesitated before adding, "I believe she can explain it all and speak more freely, as she has been expecting to meet the Female in person..."

His eyes remained on Ayra and her mates as he spoke.

And while he made the request, Ayra’s mates were skeptical. They stared at each other before turning their attention back to the S-rank monster.

"And what makes you think that we’ll come along with an S-rank monster to your lair?" Nyx demanded. "That’s like walking straight into our death."

"What do you really want?" Lord Zark asked, stepping forward. "State your real intentions, unless..."

He threatened as he pulled out his sword.
