Lynn had a serious expression on his face as he kicked off the task like it was something extremely important.

He scooped up a spoonful of soup and blew on it. Then he stared at it before blowing again. Commander Lynn continued this for a while, repeatedly blowing and staring at the soup as though carefully checking whether it was ready.

Rai and Kan blinked, staring at each other, until Rai finally asked, "Brother, is the soup ever going to reach Sister Ayra at all, or...?"

Commander Lynn finally hummed as he fed Ayra a spoonful of the soup. "Open..."

The fox happily opened her mouth as he fed her. Ayra took the soup, closing her eyes and looking pleased with the taste.

Commander Lynn watched her reaction and seemed relieved. He looked down and began preparing another spoonful.

While Lynn prepared the next spoonful, Rai folded his arms and tilted his head. "Brother, you also have to praise her."

Lynn’s hand was halfway up with the soup as he stared at him. "Eh?"

"Yes. Sweet words. You agreed to pamper her too, so..." Rai shrugged as Kan nodded profusely.

"Oh..."

Commander Lynn turned to the fox, who was also nodding. He stared down at the soup before slowly feeding her another spoonful. As the fox took it, Lynn awkwardly patted her on the head.

"Good fox..."

Silence fell upon them for a while.

It was such a loud, awkward silence that Kan immediately turned his face away while Rai bit his lip, trying not to laugh.

Then Kan finally said, "Good fox? She’s not a wolf cub."

Lynn’s ears turned red. He quickly said, "I mean... you’re doing well." He paused, staring at her before gently adding, "You’re very beautiful today."

Ayra’s ears immediately perked up. She could feel her heart flutter at those words.

Rai and Kan exchanged glances with smiles at the scene.

Lynn realized what had just come out of his mouth. He really did find the fox pretty, and apparently, he couldn’t hide the words that came to mind.

He immediately focused on the soup and began preparing another spoonful.

Ayra smiled at the blush on Commander Lynn’s face. She guessed he was pretty shy about this, and Ayra wanted more of whatever it was.

"More... Feed me more..." she said as Commander Lynn nodded and fed her another spoonful.

"More sweet words and pampering..." The fox leaned in closer.

Commander Lynn gently stared at her again, patting her as he said, "Your fur is so pretty and soft..."

"Have more... Pretty fox," he said, feeding her more while continuing to pat her. "Enjoy more... Eat gently... Eat more..."

As time passed, he became less awkward with his compliments while feeding and pampering her.

Rai and Kan noticed this as they stood there watching. They smiled from time to time, clearly entertained by the scene.

While patting the fox, Commander Lynn’s hand stayed there longer. His fingers gently ran through her fur.

Lynn smoothed down the fur around her forehead before lightly rubbing her cheek. When Ayra leaned into his palm, he naturally adjusted his hand to stroke her more comfortably. He continued feeding her with one hand while gently petting her with the other.

Ayra deliberately leaned harder against him, enjoying the soft pats and attention he was giving her.

Rai and Kan folded their arms, shaking their heads as they stared.

"They’re being so romantic..." Kan shook his head.

"They’re already so into it that I feel like I’m disturbing something here..." Rai sighed.

"I didn’t know Commander Lynn could be this sweet..." Kan sighed, shaking his head.

"Neither did I." Rai shook his head. "Ever since brother took a mate, he’s been acting so differently... Even I’m shocked."

They continued watching.

While Lynn fed her, Ayra gently pulled back as the hot soup lingered in her mouth.

"Ouch..." she said, feeling the heat as she pulled away.

Immediately, Commander Lynn panicked. He put the soup down and leaned closer to check on her. "Are you okay? Does it hurt?"

"I’m... fine..." Ayra tried to say, but Commander Lynn shook his head.

He leaned closer to properly check on her. "It’s okay... I’m here... You’ll be okay. It won’t hurt for too long..." he said as he gently brought his mouth close to hers, blowing softly into her mouth.

"....."

Ayra felt her heart racing at this. She couldn’t believe Lynn was being this close and affectionate!

Rai and Kan even panicked, with Kan covering Rai’s eyes as if he were a kid watching an inappropriate scene.

"Is this even okay to watch?" Kan asked before turning back toward the scene.

Lynn didn’t mind. He continued until he was sure Ayra was fine.

Ayra sat there with her fox cheeks flushed as she watched Commander Lynn feed her.

Then he slowly leaned close to the fox’s stomach, gently caressing it while he muttered, "You have to eat well so our little one will also be healthy... okay?"

Ayra’s heart was still fluttering so much that she didn’t even realize when she nodded in agreement.

Commander Lynn nodded at her with a bright smile. "That’s good..." He patted her head. "Good pretty fox... Now eat more."

He continued feeding her.

His smile left Rai and Kan even more shocked.

"Is your brother... smiling?!" Kan exclaimed.

"I thought I was seeing things..." Rai blinked as they stared speechlessly at the scene. "I guess brother really has a lot of surprises for us..."

As they watched, Ayra smiled and leaned closer while Commander Lynn tenderly fed her more, continuing to caress and pamper her until she was completely comfortable around him.

And then, while she was enjoying the peaceful feeling of being fed and pampered by her massive wolf husband, her system beeped.
