Ayra blinked. Commander Lynn was being firm, so she guessed she had some work to do.

Ayra sighed as she slowly leaned down on the bed, unwilling to listen to him. "I don’t feel like transforming..."

Commander Lynn tilted his head. "Why...? You can only have your soup properly when you’re transformed..."

Commander Lynn was trying not to make eye contact with the pretty fox. From time to time, he stared down at his soup while he spoke, trying not to stare at the pretty fox for too long.

Rai and Kan noticed this and stared at each other with mischievous smiles.

"You can feed me while I’m in my beast form..." Ayra said as she stared up at him. "Please?"

Commander Lynn stared at the fox for a while in silence. It was a hard task for him because he kept getting distracted by how gorgeous the fox was.

"No... You have to transform to your beast form," Commander Lynn said as he turned around, speaking strictly.

Ayra knew she had to work hard since Commander Lynn was being strict. She had to pull out every trick from the book to make him pamper her.

Immediately, she frowned sadly and stared down at the bed without looking up at all.

"Oh, Sister Ayra is sad... What’s happening? What did you do to her now?" Rai instantly spoke.

He was literally a paid actor at this point, Ayra thought.

Commander Lynn stared at the fox, now worried that he had hurt Ayra’s feelings.

"You’re so cruel, brother." Rai shook his head. "You made her sad..."

Ayra acted even more. She sighed as she stared down, looking all sad and gloomy as though she would cry at any moment.

"What’s... what’s wrong...?" Commander Lynn approached, worried as he stared at her. "Why are you like that...? Did I do something wrong...?"

Ayra slowly looked up at him with pouty eyes. "I want you to feed me in my beast form while pampering me with nice words..."

She added, "Only then can I forgive you for being too strict with me."

She guessed playing the spoiled beast queen was the only way forward now.

Rai and Kan stared at each other, then at Commander Lynn, both holding back their smiles.

Commander Lynn was speechless as he blinked. "Huh."

Ayra nodded. "Yes. That’s the only way I can forgive you... If not, you can leave. I’m not eating, and I want to be alone..."

"But you have to eat so you and the cub can stay healthy," Commander Lynn said worriedly.

"I’ll handle it myself since you don’t care too much for me..." Ayra pouted while staring down sadly. "I’ll find food to feed the cub and myself..."

Rai and Kan sighed as they shook their heads.

"Cruel brother..." Rai said. "You can’t treat Sister Ayra and the little one like this..."

Kan nodded. "You have to do what she says while she’s pregnant. That’s the way to take care of your pregnant female."

They both stared firmly at Commander Lynn.

Commander Lynn hesitated as he cleared his throat. Ayra was still looking away, giving him the silent treatment, while the two teens beside him continued giving him disapproving looks and shaking their heads.

Commander Lynn panicked. He didn’t wish to treat Ayra badly at all, and he feared she’d actually be mad at him.

He was also nervous about being so close to the pretty fox.

But he closed his eyes, then opened them again, struggling to remain calm as he finally said, "Okay, then... I’ll feed you."

He went to sit down close to the fox on the bed.

Rai and Kan got up, standing before them with their arms folded as they stared and smiled at the two.

Ayra stared excitedly at Commander Lynn while still in her fox form. "You’re going to feed me..."

Commander Lynn stared down at the soup in his arms and nodded. "Mmm..."

He slowly stirred the soup while Ayra added, "Please say sweet words to me and pamper me while you do... Only then will I feel better and enjoy the soup more."

Commander Lynn panicked as he turned to stare at Rai and Kan, who were watching them with mischievous smiles.

He was used to playing it cool, especially in front of them. So doing this right before them made him extremely shy.

Commander Lynn knew they’d tease him about it for years to come!

"But... I can just..." Commander Lynn tried to say.

But Ayra instantly sighed and laid her head down. "If you don’t want to do it, then you can leave..."

She continued sadly, "I’m already suffering with the little one kicking in my stomach and all... and I’m also feeling sick..."

She sighed again before adding, "So maybe I’m asking too much from you to do it for me... It’s okay. I understand if you don’t want to. I understand..."

She said it with the saddest expression she could manage.

Commander Lynn panicked while staring at the fox. He feared that he had made her even sadder, and there was no way back now.

He turned to stare at Rai and Kan. The two had their arms folded while staring at him.

They shook their heads while giving him disapproving looks.

"Cruel brother..." Rai said.

"Really cruel," Kan agreed.

With that, Commander Lynn sighed as he turned back to Ayra, then stared down at the soup.

He guessed he had no other choice.

Ayra was already sad, and he didn’t want her to feel sad at all, especially while carrying his cub! He couldn’t risk that, especially since he had promised to only make her feel good.

So he had to own up to that now.

As he stared at the soup, he searched his brain for sweet and pampering words and actions to execute.

Even though it meant these two silly teens would tease him forever, he didn’t care now.

Making Ayra feel good right now was more important!
