Chapter 469: God of Soul’s Hand, The Soul Soldier Appears

"Wait what?" Leon’s eyebrows were raised, his mind struggling to comprehend what he was seeing.

He expected a giant monster to appear, but something like this was unexpected, completely different from anything he had imagined.

Were they supposed to fight the giant hand? It didn’t look possible, the sheer scale of it dwarfing everything on the battlefield.

The aura and power that came from this hand made it obvious that it could crush the entirety of this higher domain at any moment, its presence overwhelming.

Neither Cavin nor anybody present even stood a chance against it, the gap in power insurmountable.

Leon turned around and noticed Cavin, Empress and the Requiem Guild members looking up too, a tight expression on their faces, their confidence shaken.

Leon looked back up, and decided to use [Eye of Truth] just to see if it worked... and surprisingly, it did.

Due to the fact his skill was fully evolved, it was stronger than the others’ version, allowing him to peer into that thing, if even just for a few words:

[God of Soul’s Hand (???)]

It was the hand of the God of Soul, no wonder it seemed so utterly powerful, but more than anything, it made Leon wonder just how massive the real God of Soul was if this was only his hand.

But at that moment, power began to charge in the center of the God of Soul’s hand as he pointed it downward, the energy building to a terrifying crescendo.

And Leon, as well as all the others present, knew that whatever was coming was going to be bad, the air growing heavy with impending doom.

The servants of the gods who gazed at the hand also seemed slightly shaken except for the Servant of Souls present, as they only smiled, a fanatic expression on their face that spoke of unwavering devotion.

It seemed like even for servants, meeting with their god was a rare occurrence, and though one couldn’t even consider this to be a "meeting", just seeing the God of Soul’s hand was enough to make them happy beyond measure.

Their eyes were fixed on the massive hand above, their bodies trembling with reverence and awe.

But for the other servants, as well as the players below, this was a very bad sign, one that promised nothing but destruction and despair.

The God of Soul’s hand hovered in the sky, its fingers curling as if grasping something invisible.

Then, from the palm of the hand, a portal began to form, its edges crackling with dark energy that seemed to consume the light around it.

The portal grew larger and larger, and from its depths, a terrifying entity slowly began to appear, its form shrouded in shadow and power.

A terrifying aura enveloped the entire area of the Monster Tide, making even the servants of the god shake, their bodies trembling against their will as the pressure intensified.

"Holy shit..." Leon took a step back, his eyes wide, "Emilia wasn’t lying..."

Now that the danger had arrived, Emilia’s headache had completely passed, allowing her to focus fully on what was happening, her eyes fixed on the sky above as she watched the scene unfold.

The giant entity that came from the portal jumped into the God of Soul’s opened hand; and it closed on it, seemingly crushing the entity, its fingers wrapping around the form with a sickening crunch.

"???" Leon’s confusion was mirrored by many others, their faces blank with confusion.

Only the Servants of Souls seemed to understand what was unfolding, and even though they knew, they seemed... shocked.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Pulses of aura erupted from the God of Soul’s hand as power was being transferred directly to the ultimate boss of the Monster Tide, each pulse shaking the very foundations of reality.

Each pulse made it much stronger than before, adding to its already terrifying strength, pushing it beyond anything the players had faced.

The energy radiating from the hand was immense, dwarfing everything else on the battlefield.

"Is that the so-called increase difficulty?" Granite spoke as he gazed up, his voice filled with disbelief, "Wasn’t the monster supposed to just appear from the vortex?"

"That’s what we heard," Cavin groaned, his expression tight with concern, "So yes, I assume that this is part of the increased difficulty..."

"Damn it, we should have taken our time for those last monsters..."

"We couldn’t have known," Empress sighed, her voice calm despite the tension, "The plan doesn’t change, we just need to strike it with everything we have quickly, and we’ll have completed everything we needed to do here."

"Alright," Granite nodded, accepting her words.

While the Requiem Guild spoke, the God of Soul’s hand had seemingly finished doing what it was doing, its fingers slowly uncurling to reveal what lay within.

And so, casting a massive shadow over the entire Requiem Stronghold, it opened itself, revealing the new form of the entity above.

ROOOOOOOOAR!

The roar shook the foundation of the battlefield below them, and some buildings in the Requiem Stronghold even cracked, debris falling into the streets below.

The pressure was at an all-time high, and nobody could take their eyes off that being, its presence overwhelming everything else.

From this distance, Leon couldn’t even see how it truly looked, he could just feel its aura, the power radiating from it in waves that made the air feel heavy.

But also, he could see its name and level, the panel appearing before his eyes.

[Soul Soldier (Monster Tide Boss)]

[Level: 100]

That was the name of this thing, and it truly seemed terrifying, its form radiating power that dwarfed everything else on the battlefield.

It even had the "Monster Tide Boss" label, showcasing that it truly was the ultimate monster of this entire event.

Ding!

[The "Soul Soldier" has appeared, summoned specifically by the "God of Soul" and boosted by his powers.]

[Good luck, players.]

[This entire Higher Domain as well as the other ones will be wiped out if you do not stop it.]
