One Piece: Starting with Sharingan, I Joined the Straw Hat Pirates
Chapter 370: The Red Road Sign!
In the face of Robin's quest for the poneglyphs,
Duke Inuarashi and Master Nekomamushi did not hesitate for a moment, gladly agreeing to their benefactor's request.
"Since it is your wish, the Mink Tribe will naturally lead the way."
"Please follow us."
Supported by their guards, the two kings personally lifted lanterns emitting a dim yellow glow.
They walked at the very front, leading the Straw Hat crew down the tree-hollow stairs hidden beneath the massive roots, stepping down into the deeper, hidden space of the Whale Tree.
The stairs spiraled downward, and the surrounding air grew increasingly damp and ancient.
After walking down for an unknown amount of time, the space ahead suddenly opened up.
As the light from the lanterns held by Inuarashi and Nekomamushi illuminated the area,
what appeared before everyone was a massive deep-red stone monument emitting an ancient and mysterious aura.
This stone monument stood quietly in this sunless underground space, the passage of time seemingly unable to leave any trace upon it.
Robin's breath hitched slightly, and her intellectual eyes were instantly filled with obsession and shock.
She quickly stepped forward, stretching out her fair, slender fingers to gently touch the deeply carved ancient characters on the surface of the stone monument with a touch of reverence.
"This color... there is no mistake."
Robin's voice carried an excitement that was hard to calm as she felt the cold touch from her fingertips.
All the poneglyphs she had seen in the past were a deep, dark blue.
But the blood-red stone monument before her undoubtedly represented some more special and crucial meaning.
Duke Inuarashi walked forward leaning on his cane, stood beside Robin, and slowly explained the true origin of this red stone monument to everyone present:
"Lady Robin has a good eye."
"This red stone is called the 'road poneglyph'."
"It is the key item that guides all voyagers on this sea to their final destination."
He paused, his eyes sweeping over Luffy, Law, and the others as he continued to explain:
"In this world, only four such red stones exist.
"On each stone, the coordinates of a specific location are recorded.
"Only when you have collected all the coordinates from these four red stones and connect these four locations diagonally on a sea chart,
"then, at the exact intersection point of these two crossing lines, that legendary island will emerge..."
"which is the end of the Grand Line—the final island, 'Laugh Tale'."
Master Nekomamushi added from the side, his tone carrying respect for that legendary island.
After hearing this explanation, the entire underground space fell silent for a moment.
Robin turned her head to look at Luffy, who was staring up at the stone monument behind her, a brilliant smile blooming on her lips.
"Luffy, did you hear that?"
"If we count this one on this island, plus the one we won as the final victors in the Dressrosa Colosseum,"
"we now have the coordinates of two road poneglyphs."
Hearing Robin's words, Luffy was stunned for a second, then suddenly registered what she meant.
He excitedly clenched his fists tightly in front of his chest, his eyes shining with a dazzling light.
"Awesome!"
The other members of the Straw Hat crew were also all smiles, unable to hide their inner excitement and joy.
The confirmation of this fact meant that in this magnificent and brutal struggle for the throne of the 'Pirate King' where heroes rose together,
the Straw Hat Pirates had already quietly obtained half of that crucial admission ticket.
Without realizing it, they had already walked to the very forefront of all the Supernovas, and even most of the established pirate crews of the New World.
They had taken an incredibly solid step toward the peak that all pirates dreamed of.
However, amidst this heartening joy, Law reached up and pressed down on his spotted cap:
"Don't celebrate too early, everyone."
"Even though we already have two, the remaining path won't be that easy to walk."
Law raised his head and looked around at everyone:
"According to known information from the New World's underground intelligence network, the remaining two red road poneglyphs..."
"are in the hands of two emperors of the sea who reign over the New World—"
"the Four Emperors 'of the Beasts' Kaido, and 'Big Mom' Charlotte Linlin."
"This means that if the Straw Hat Captain wants to reach the final island and become the Pirate King,"
"then our full-scale war with these two Four Emperors will be a fated and inevitable path, with no shortcuts ahead."
"We must snatch those two stones right out of their jaws."
Faced with this terrifying reality, not a single trace of fear or retreat appeared on Luffy's face.
On the contrary, the corners of his mouth curled into a wild, proud arc.
Deep in those clear eyes, a blazing, high-spirited fighting spirit ignited.
"So what if they're the Four Emperors!"
"Whether it's Big Mom or Kaido, as long as they are standing in front of us, we just have to blow them all away!"
Luffy declared with a laugh, his fearless spirit infectious to everyone present.
After Robin took out the prepared special paper and charcoal pencil to quickly make a rubbing of the ancient characters on the red stone monument, everyone returned the way they came along the long passage.
By the time they stepped out of the treehouse of the Whale Tree, it was already very late outside.
The grand banquet of gratitude on the plaza had already come to an end.
Most of the Mink Tribe, exhausted from days of fighting and partying, had returned to their respective tents to rest.
But the Straw Hat crew was not tired at all.
Paying no mind to the late hour, they sat around the massive bonfire in the center of the plaza, which now held only a few dim red embers, and continued to chat with Duke Inuarashi and Master Nekomamushi, who were also wide awake.
Laughter and chatter echoed in the quiet night sky, enjoying this rare peace.
"Sanji! I want more meat! My stomach is deflated again!"
Suddenly, Luffy patted his protesting stomach and yelled toward the cook not far away.
Hearing this familiar request, Sanji sighed helplessly and reached up to rub his temples.
"You're a bottomless pit, I really can't do anything with you."
Though he complained, Sanji still stood up and walked briskly back to the temporary kitchen set up next to the ruins.
After being busy in the kitchen for a long time, accompanied by the crisp sound of the kitchen knife hitting the cutting board and the sizzling of the wok, an enticing aroma drifted out once more.
Finally, using the last of the high-grade ingredients he had left, he served everyone the final batch of rich delicacies for the night.
Watching his companions devour the food like hungry wolves, Sanji pulled a handkerchief from his coat pocket and carefully wiped his hands.
The successive battles and cooking late into the night had left him feeling a bit tired.
Sanji turned around alone and, with unhurried steps, walked to a dimly lit corner of the ruins at the edge of the plaza.
This place was far from the residual warmth of the bonfire, and the night wind blowing through the ruined walls brought waves of chill.
Sanji leaned his back against a broken section of a massive stone pillar and pulled a delicate metal lighter from his breast pocket.
With a crisp 'click' sound, a faint flame lit up, illuminating his profile, which was half-hidden under his blonde hair.
He expertly lit a cigarette and took a deep drag, preparing to enjoy a moment of peace and relaxation on his own in this undisturbed corner.
However, just as Sanji slowly exhaled his first ring of white smoke,
and his eyes relaxed slightly, the moment his thoughts had just drifted off,
the lifeless piles of broken bricks, tiles, and heavy stones beside him suddenly distorted without warning.
The hard stone texture seemed to turn into soft rubber in an instant, emitting a strange rubbing sound.
Then, under Sanji's slightly surprised gaze,
those distorted stones actually opened outward slowly like two heavily designed, precision-engineered gates.
Not a single ray of light shone through the gap of the opening stone gates; instead, they revealed a dark space so deep it seemed capable of swallowing everything...
