Chapter 236: Chapter 236: Training Luffy

That strange feeling made cold sweat pour down Luffy’s body.

Although Zoro, who was watching from a distance, had said he would not join the training, he had been carefully studying Raynor’s way of dodging.

He wanted to secretly learn a few tricks.

But the more he watched, the more he realized that this was something no ordinary person could do.

Raynor’s movements completely followed his natural instincts.

That was how he dodged, but this method of evasion was simply impossible.

The human brain could not react so quickly, allowing someone to dodge attacks using instinct alone.

And yet Raynor had done it.

There had to be some trick behind it, something he still could not understand.

He had heard that in the New World, there was something called Observation Haki.

Once someone awakened Observation Haki, they could predict their opponent’s movements and dodge accordingly.

Could Raynor be an Observation Haki user?

That guy was ridiculously strong.

After fighting for so long, Luffy was panting heavily, and the speed of his punches was getting slower and slower.

At last, both of his fists dropped weakly onto the deck, completely drained of strength.

Luffy stuck out his tongue and gasped for breath.

"So tired, so tired! What was that weird move you used just now? Can you teach it to me?"

Before Raynor could answer, the cabin door suddenly opened.

Chopper came running out, gasping for breath, with tears streaming down his face.

"Robin... Robin is all right now!"

When they heard this, the Straw Hat crew all let out a sigh of relief. But then Sanji anxiously called out:

"Hey, Chopper! This isn’t the time to cry. Come over here and check on Usopp. He’s in pretty bad shape."

Chopper’s eyes widened when he heard that, and he hurried toward the back of the ship.

When he saw that Usopp had severe frostbite covering much of his body, Chopper’s expression grew grave.

"How did this happen? Usopp was frozen too? Why didn’t you thaw him out sooner?"

Sanji bit through the cigarette hanging from his mouth and said angrily:

"It’s because his whole body wasn’t frozen that his condition is this serious. Who knows how far that idiot ran while carrying a block of ice?"

"Stop talking and think of something, Chopper!"

Chopper immediately took out some herbs and began grinding them.

He then spread them evenly over Usopp’s frostbitten skin.

After that, he wrapped Usopp up in bandages until he looked like a mummy.

Chopper turned to Sanji and said anxiously:

"Sanji, do we have any high-calorie food left on the ship? Usopp really needs it right now!"

Sanji’s expression became serious.

They had already given all their food to the refugees. They were now completely out of options.

Where could they possibly find high-calorie food?

Just then, Nami came running over. After hearing their conversation, she said:

"Let’s set out right away. Once we reach a new island, we can get some high-calorie food."

"Don’t forget, we have more than a hundred tons of gold..."

Before Nami could finish, Sanji’s expression turned cold. He calmly said:

"That’s enough, Miss Nami. Usopp won’t last that long."

With that, Sanji turned away sadly and walked toward the kitchen.

A trace of tears appeared in Nami’s eyes as she looked at his back.

"Sanji..."

But after saying only those three words, she no longer had the courage to continue.

Because the situation was truly ironic.

They had an entire ship full of gold.

Yet one of their own crewmates was about to die from a lack of heat, and they could not even produce a single piece of food.

Thinking of this, Nami took two steps backward.

Then Chopper suddenly remembered the cotton candy Raynor had bought for him earlier.

His eyes lit up, and he turned toward Raynor.

"Hey, Raynor, Usopp really needs some high-calorie food right now. Can you buy him some cotton candy?"

Raynor slightly furrowed his brow and opened the system shop, looking through it.

There was no cotton candy after all. He had no idea how the shop worked. Every time, each item could only appear once.

Raynor had no choice. He casually picked out some candy, paid the Beli, and took it out.

"Will candy work, Chopper?"

Chopper’s eyes immediately lit up.

"Of course! Chocolate would be best!"

As he spoke, Chopper took all the candy from Raynor’s hands.

He picked out several high-calorie candies and stuffed them into Usopp’s mouth.

A moment later, Usopp finally regained a little consciousness.

As soon as he woke up, Usopp sat up and put on a smug expression.

"Haha, this is exactly what Captain Usopp should do. If you want to thank me, just keep it in your hearts..."

With that, Usopp burst into loud laughter.

But after coming back to his senses, he realized that Raynor had already taken Luffy to the side to train.

Raynor had completely ignored him.

Usopp clenched his fists and shouted angrily:

"Hey! I just saved you, you know! How can you be so heartless, you jerk?"

As he spoke, Usopp supported himself with both hands on the deck and put on a pitiful expression.

"Chopper, I need a nutritious meal too..."

With that, he lay down on the deck and pretended to fall unconscious.

Seeing this, Chopper immediately panicked.

He shoved all the candy into Usopp’s mouth, wrappers and all.

Usopp spat it all out and shouted angrily:

"Hey, Chopper! Are you trying to kill me?!"

Usopp was still shouting when the cabin door opened again.

Robin stepped out, wearing a black strapless top and walking on a pair of long legs.

Her whole body was still wet, and her eyes looked hazy, as if she had only just woken from a dream.

After taking a few breaths, Robin said gently:

"I’m all right now, everyone. You don’t need to worry about me."

The Straw Hat crew all smiled at Robin when they heard this.

None of them treated her differently because of what Aokiji had said earlier.

Even Zoro, who had always been wary of Robin, looked much less hostile now.

This incident had not driven them apart from Robin. Instead, it had brought them even closer together.

Just then, the system notification sounded in Raynor’s mind.

[ Ding! Congratulations, host. You have completed the mission to protect Robin. You have received 1,200 points of all-attribute experience, several forging materials, and one blueprint for a gold detector. ]

After hearing the system notification, the corners of Raynor’s mouth lifted slightly.

They happened to have a large piece of gold with them. He might as well forge the detector and test it out.

With that thought, Raynor began forging the gold detector in his mind.

A forging screen immediately appeared in his mind.
