One Piece: Getting Stronger by Writing a Diary
Chapter 590 - 786 – One Hard Thrust Sends Her Against the Wall
"S-So strong! How can someone this powerful exist?!"
The saleswoman swallowed repeatedly, her voice filled with astonishment.
Inside the cramped fitting room, she could still barely maintain the posture of fighting back.
However, she had already lost the strength to continue the offensive she had initiated.
Arton, by contrast, remained full of energy, as though her attacks were nothing more than child's play to him.
Just as the saleswoman wondered whether she should beg Arton for mercy, he directly counterattacked and drove his energy into her body.
The impact struck her mind with overwhelming force, causing her to lose consciousness for a moment.
When she finally came back to her senses, she discovered that she was already sitting against the wall.
Raki, meanwhile, was responsible for cleaning up the battlefield for Arton.
"Miss, are you all right?"
Conis patted the dazed saleswoman's cheek and asked worriedly.
"Wh-What happened? Why am I like this?"
The saleswoman looked around blankly.
"Did you forget?"
"You were the one who challenged us first."
Conis said in surprise.
Only then did the golden-haired saleswoman finally remember what had happened.
She stared at Arton in disbelief. Never had she imagined that he would not only defeat her, but knock her unconscious as well.
Judging by the state of Arton's equipment, he clearly still possessed plenty of strength.
"You're really incredible."
"No wonder these two beautiful ladies value you so highly."
The saleswoman drew a deep breath and raised a thumb toward Arton.
"You weren't bad either. You managed to entertain me to this extent."
"I'll buy the clothes Conis and Raki selected."
"I'm glad I was able to have such an enjoyable shopping experience in your store."
Arton patted Raki's head, deliberately adopting the attitude of someone withdrawing from a battle as he spoke to the saleswoman.
"There's no need. I'm very pleased to have met you."
"It's only two outfits. I'll give them to you directly."
"However, I hope you'll visit my store again in the future."
The saleswoman said.
"That might be difficult. I'm not from Water 7."
"I may leave after staying here for a while."
Arton shook his head and rejected her suggestion.
They had only met by chance. There might not be any connection between them in the future, so it was better not to develop too many ties.
"I see."
The saleswoman sighed.
"All right. It's better to have met you once than never. We may still see each other again someday."
As Arton spoke, he glanced at Raki and Conis. The two immediately left the fitting room and began preparing to depart.
Just as Arton was about to leave with them, the saleswoman suddenly grabbed his thigh with both hands.
"Is there something else, miss?"
Arton asked.
"Since you're not from Water 7, it'll be difficult for us to meet again."
"Why don't you stay here and keep me company for a while?"
"I already closed the store early. What do you say?"
The saleswoman asked with a smile.
"Aren't you worried you won't be able to return home later?"
Arton complained.
"It doesn't matter. Worst case, I'll simply rest here in the clothing store."
The saleswoman stared directly at him, her expression utterly serious.
"All right. Since you've put it that way, don't blame me."
After speaking, Arton seized the saleswoman around the waist with both hands.
With a single hard thrust, he forced her against the wall.
...
"Captain, I've already covered her with a blanket. She'll be fine."
Conis walked out of the clothing store and spoke to Arton with a smile.
Although the scene had not developed in the same direction as the one depicted in the manga, it had still gone somewhere else rather interesting.
Moreover, Conis could tell that Arton had greatly enjoyed the unexpected encounter.
That made her quite happy.
Raki felt the same way.
In fact, Raki and Conis were even somewhat envious of the saleswoman. She had managed to make Arton treat her so seriously until she could no longer endure it.
Only then had Arton covered her expensive skin with moisturizing oil, left behind enough warmth to fill her stomach, and departed.
Given the chance, both Raki and Conis wanted to experience the same state.
Of course, they also knew they still had a mission to complete.
This was not a convenient time to practice sparring with Arton.
They certainly would not be happy if fooling around delayed important matters.
"That's good. At least she won't catch a cold."
"By the way, did you leave the money?"
Arton asked.
"Don't worry. We left all of it."
Raki replied with a smile.
"Then there's no problem."
Arton nodded.
As captain of the Flameblade Pirates, he was not short of money.
Naturally, he had no intention of taking someone else's clothes for free.
Besides, the saleswoman had treated Arton well.
Under those circumstances, he naturally intended to leave her even more money.
Perhaps the two of them might have another chance to spend time together in the future.
"Let's go. We've wasted a little too much time here."
"We should hurry over to Iceburg."
Arton took Raki by one arm and Conis by the other, then quickly ran along the street.
After asking for directions several times, the three finally arrived at the mayor's office building.
To save time, Arton directly led the two women inside without first asking someone to inform Iceburg.
He had not made an appointment with the mayor, and he did not want to be refused at the entrance.
"Hello, Mayor Iceburg. Do you have time to talk?"
Arton's voice suddenly echoed through Iceburg's office, making him jump.
"You're Arton. So you really did come."
Iceburg looked at Arton, Raki, and Conis in astonishment.
"You seemed to know I was coming."
Arton raised an eyebrow.
"Mm. When Zephyr came earlier, he mentioned that you might come here."
Iceburg nodded.
"I see. I thought Franky had told you."
"By the way, where did your golden-haired secretary go?"
"Is she not working today?"
Arton looked around and asked curiously.
"Because I learned you might come here, I arranged for her to go to the harbor."
"You know Kalifa?"
Iceburg asked curiously.
"I suppose I do."
Arton smiled and nodded.
Knowing Kalifa from the anime still counted as knowing her.
"Since you know her, can you tell me what you came here to do, Arton?"
Iceburg rose to his feet and asked solemnly.
"Of course I came to have a ship built. What else would it be?"
"Didn't Franky tell you that?"
"Or are you pretending not to recognize him in front of me?"
"There's no need to hide it. I know he's your junior fellow disciple and that he used to be called Cutty Flam, right?"
Arton laughed.
Iceburg's eyes widened.
"!!!"
