One Piece: Getting Stronger by Writing a Diary
Chapter 589 - 784 – The Clothing Store Clerk Has Some Exciting Ideas
The saleswoman looked around, confirming that she was currently alone in the store. As for the gentleman from earlier, he had completely vanished without a trace.
Just as she began feeling suspicious, a burst of intense slurping noises came from the fitting rooms.
Mixed in with them were faint, breathless gasps.
"Could it be...?"
The saleswoman froze as several highly stimulating images flashed through her mind.
She swallowed, finally unable to restrain herself, and bent down to peer through the narrow gap beneath the fitting-room curtain.
"It really is happening."
She gasped inwardly.
There were six legs behind the curtain.
It was obvious that three people were inside, and all three appeared to be crouching.
Combined with the slurping sounds she had heard, the saleswoman immediately understood what was happening inside her store.
"Th-This is absolutely shameless."
"How could they do something like that? This is a shop!"
She opened her mouth, wanting to yank aside the fitting-room curtain and angrily reprimand the three people inside, yet she also felt embarrassed after seeing something she should not have.
For a moment, she found herself trapped in a dilemma.
As time passed, however, her embarrassment gradually faded and was replaced by another concern.
"Seriously, when are they finally going to finish?"
The saleswoman leaned against the wall and spoke while clutching her chest.
Listening continuously to the sounds coming from the fitting room was already becoming unbearable.
"No. They actually dared to fool around inside my store. No matter what, I have to charge them a fee."
Taking a deep breath, the saleswoman hurried to the entrance, closed the shop, and hung up a sign announcing that it was temporarily closed.
She then returned inside and began selecting a beautiful outfit for herself.
At the same time, Kalifa passed by the clothing store after failing to find Arton at the harbor. She looked at the closed sign hanging outside and furrowed her brows slightly.
"Strange. Why did this shop close so early?"
"Did something happen to the clerk?"
Kalifa thought of the saleswoman, who had golden hair like hers and similarly enjoyed fishnet stockings and high heels.
Because their taste in clothing was similar, Kalifa often came here to buy clothes.
The other woman also seemed highly knowledgeable about secretaries, so Kalifa occasionally exchanged thoughts with her on the subject.
"Forget it. It seems I won't be able to buy any clothes today."
"I still need to confirm whether Arton has come to Water 7."
Kalifa shook her head and continued down the street.
What she did not know was that there were not merely three people inside the clothing store at that moment.
...
"Very good. This should work."
The saleswoman examined herself in a full-length mirror, one hand on her waist while the other lifted her golden hair.
She wore fishnet stockings, high heels, and hot pants, with only a custom-made floral bra covering her upper body.
After carefully inspecting her outfit, she walked resolutely toward the fitting room.
As she drew closer, the unusual sounds behind the curtain became increasingly clear.
"This is incredible. It's been so long, yet they still haven't finished."
"Still, that's good. The stronger he is, the better it'll be for me."
The saleswoman licked her lips and smiled softly.
In the next instant, she reached out and pulled open the fitting-room curtain.
...
"I knew you were fooling around inside my store."
The saleswoman placed both hands on her hips and spoke sternly to Arton, Raki, and Conis.
"Oh no. Looks like we've been discovered."
"I told you two not to drag me inside."
Arton spread his hands and spoke helplessly to Conis and Raki, who were crouching on the floor.
Both women flushed red, momentarily unable to find anything to say.
There was no helping it. They had indeed been in the wrong.
Arton had clearly only brought them inside to choose clothes, yet they had insisted on inviting him into the fitting room.
That was something they could not deny. After all, the manga Arton had drawn about outfits for Raki and Conis contained related scenes.
From their perspective, those scenes and plots were undoubtedly things Arton hoped to experience in the real world.
As Arton's crewmates, Conis and Raki naturally wanted to fulfill his wishes.
They had merely become so focused on making his fantasy a reality that they overlooked practical considerations.
Manga characters were never interrupted by outsiders, but in the real world, outsiders absolutely could interrupt them.
"Um... sorry."
Conis pressed her lips together and apologized to the saleswoman.
"An apology won't solve this. There's no need to call the authorities."
The saleswoman shook her head with an uncompromising expression.
"Then what do you want?"
Raki raised an eyebrow, looking suspiciously at the woman's current attire.
She clearly remembered that when they first entered the shop, the saleswoman had been dressed properly.
Her current appearance made her resemble a witch who had come to seduce someone.
"Hehe. Since you dared to do something like this inside my store..."
"Then naturally, you'll have to let me join in too."
The saleswoman suddenly extended a hand and hooked a finger beneath Arton's chin.
"Huh?"
Conis widened her eyes and stared at the woman in disbelief.
"Whoa."
Raki raised an eyebrow, clearly astonished by what was happening before her.
"You're quite the man. How about competing with me?"
The saleswoman smiled seductively at Arton.
"Are you sure?"
Arton raised an eyebrow, regarding the woman—who looked somewhat similar to Kalifa—with interest.
Unless his memory was mistaken, this woman was the one who would later leave Water 7 and compete against Iceburg for the position of secretary.
Although her two-dimensional and three-dimensional appearances differed, her current attire was unmistakably identical to the image Arton had seen in the manga of the woman who challenged Iceburg for the secretary position.
"Of course."
The saleswoman nodded emphatically.
"Especially after seeing what you're equipped with, I'm even more certain."
As though to prove her determination, she proactively reached out and placed her hand on Arton's equipment, looking utterly captivated.
"And what if I refuse?"
Arton raised an eyebrow, though he did not become angry at her rude behavior.
"If you refuse, I'll tell Mayor Iceburg what you've been doing."
"Then Mayor Iceburg might send the three of you to the forbidden room for a while."
The saleswoman smiled.
"So you have no intention of letting us go no matter what?"
Arton asked.
"Of course not."
The saleswoman spoke while lifting one long leg and resting it over Arton's shoulder.
"All right, then. Let's stop wasting words."
"You'll have to pay the price soon enough."
Arton smiled.
