One-Eyed Monster

Chapter 1379 - 1376: New Plans

During the time Xiso and Bigas reunited, people at the Alchemy Workshop also felt the giant commotion coming from the experiment site.

Several individuals from the Golden Seats, led by Milo, stopped at the entrance of the experiment site. The situation here was quite special, and they dared not approach rashly.

However, Milo and the others felt the presence of the Chief here, which brought a slight sense of relief to their previously strained nerves. This outcome was quite acceptable; although they did not guard the experiment site, since the Chief was back, nothing should have been lost here.

Though this result allowed their hearts to calm, upon reflection, there was still some loss. The Alchemy Workshop was now a complete mess due to the Kangen Family; during the Chief's absence, they had shown a complete lack of duty. This outcome was something they could not face Kuyi Tulan with.

Most people looked at Milo; at this moment, they needed someone like him to make a decision.

Whether to guard this experiment site and wait or to pursue those annoying Wizards of the Kangen Family was a rather difficult decision because they were now in a completely unknown state. It seemed the battle earlier had left them bewildered!

Milo, at this moment, also didn't know what to do; he was usually the calmest, yet now he was like a headless fly.

What should be done, Milo couldn't make up his mind. He felt the Alchemy Workshop still needed a leader, and he was clearly not that leader...

So he chose silence, refraining from making too many decisions. He was an executor, not a decision-maker. Although his status in the Alchemy Workshop was very high, second only to Kuyi Tulan, making decisions was clearly not his forte.

Milo didn't take any action; he stood there like a piece of wood. No expression, no attitude, completely passive.

Although other Golden Seats also had a certain degree of say, during this very sensitive period, none wanted to stick their neck out; the current situation couldn't be clearly defined. When the Chief of Tulan came out, who knew if they'd be blamed or praised? With the second-in-command silent, they also didn't need to be so unique, as they all knew that conformity was the best choice at the moment.

Thus, these Golden Seats at the Alchemy Workshop, along with other alchemists below the Golden Seats, didn't dare breathe. They were all watching, afraid of standing out and being noticed, deliberately keeping their posture low.

Milo's heart was actually calm. He had followed Kuyi Tulan for many years and was quite aware of Kuyi Tulan's temperament. He knew that even if they all made mistakes now, Kuyi Tulan wouldn't blame them. This was a very special moment, and everyone had their own motives, calculating in their own way, including the Chief.

Milo believed their Chief must have a new understanding of the current situation. This experiment site would soon return to peace, and acting rashly would only inconvenience the Chief, bringing no aid.

They were guarding here, waiting for the escaped fish to appear, which would neither disturb the Chief nor allow them to catch those trying to flee.

He wanted to see who had the audacity to invade the territory of the Alchemy Workshop.

The experts from the Alchemy Workshop enclosed this experiment site in a watertight manner, an incomprehensible mindset. Almost all the experts the Alchemy Workshop could deploy were mobilized, as if welcoming the return of their Chief...

The formation was indeed grand; the alchemy servants didn't know what was happening. They hid cautiously in various corners, watching these experts stand motionless at that experiment site, feeling uneasy, sensing something significant was about to happen.

Just when everyone's emotions reached a peak, the experiment site seemed to sense the mood. A sudden bang was heard, and the doors of the experiment site flew up, with the site and the main camp of the Alchemy Workshop becoming nothing short of ruin.

Really a very bad phenomenon...

The alchemists saw the door fly skyward and immediately turn to ashes. Thick smoke billowed from the shattered area, this smoke was peculiar, strikingly different from ordinary white smoke, seeming to carry a hint of blue...

The alchemists hadn't recovered from this strange phenomenon when a figure emerged from the smoke, burly and oddly familiar.

This figure was none other than their Chief Alchemist—Kuyi Tulan.

"We welcome the Chief's return!" Milo and the Golden Seats bowed in unison, finally awaiting Kuyi Tulan's return!

Seeing Kuyi Tulan with a rampant smile, his body flickering with blue flames. Even more shocking was that he carried someone on his shoulder.

No, to be precise, the Chief carried a monster on his shoulder.

This monster was entirely blue-skinned, now barely clinging to life, seemingly severely battered.

"You're all here!" Kuyi Tulan surveyed the alchemists, as if conducting a roll call.

"Chief, most of the Alchemy Workshop's elites are here; our guarding was inadequate, we ask for the Chief's forgiveness!" Milo, being a leader, wisely admitted fault beforehand.

"You did nothing wrong; guarding is not our task, it's conquest!" Kuyi Tulan replied boldly to Milo's concerns.

"Chief, do you require us to pursue the Kangen Family's Wizards?" Milo asked again.

"No need, now our task is preservation; Xinbal, it seems, can't stay!" Kuyi Tulan said, his tone relaxed, without a trace of worry.

Yet his words stirred waves among the alchemists; they couldn't fathom why Xinbal could no longer remain.

"The Kayne Empire is indeed formidable; these ancient beings never imagined that Kayne's Adventurers with Class could guard against them in such a way. To counter the entire Kayne, all other regions must unify!"

Kuyi Tulan's words grew increasingly strange, leaving everyone clueless as to what their Chief meant!

Those hiding afar, the alchemy servants' instincts proved right; a major event was indeed about to happen...
