One-Eyed Monster
Chapter 1345 - 1342: Let's Take Action
"What is worth discussing thoroughly here!"
As soon as Igor finished speaking, a deep voice echoed in his ear.
Kadi turned his head, only to realize it was the elders of the Kangen Family who had been drawn over by the commotion.
"Greetings, Elders!" Igor and Kadi greeted.
"You're awake, Igor."
"I've been awake for a while now..." Igor awkwardly responded to the question.
The question itself was quite awkward, since Igor's awakening was no longer news; Will Kangen asking this was indeed a bit uncomfortable.
"What were you discussing here just now, so lively?" Old Cole quickly followed, revealing their purpose for coming here; clearly, they were drawn by the noise.
"Uh..." Igor was about to speak, but he hadn't expected the Kangen Family people to be so proactive, speaking up before him.
"Elder, this guy's recovery ability is quite miraculous!"
"Exactly, he couldn't speak just now, and now he's fully recovered, it is indeed miraculous!"
"We were wondering if he's hiding some untold secret..."
Their various remarks surprised Igor; why were they so focused on his recovery ability? This was strange. He and Kadi had been discussing other matters.
Now that these people brought it up, surely these elders' focus had shifted to analyzing his recovery ability.
"Igor, tell us what you've been through. We only saw your weakened state, but we don't know what you experienced." Will Kangen didn't pay much attention to the family's remarks; he was more concerned with other things.
They had all been through various battles and knew Kuyi Tulan wouldn't retreat so easily; there must be a reason. Furthermore, throughout the battle, Igor was leading, and it's clear he knew more than they did.
"Ah, I completely forgot about the important matter!" Igor slapped his forehead, having been preoccupied with researching the connection between the Blue Flame and Teleportation Spell, forgetting to share his findings. In these special times, sharing information is crucial.
"What did you go through, why did Kuyi Tulan retreat so easily!" Bigas asked eagerly, clearly having many conflicts with Kuyi Tulan and not wanting him to escape under her watch.
"Didn't you realize that Kuyi Tulan isn't the one we're familiar with? He was suppressed by the Soul Devourer!" Igor scratched his head, feeling he needed to explain this clearly.
"Kuyi Tulan is a bastard, no matter when." Bigas said angrily.
"Bigas, control your emotions; we all understand Xiso's situation, and we will rescue Xiso. Right now, we need to figure out who our real enemy is!" Pete Kangen said. He held some authority over Bigas, being her father.
"Uh, I previously communicated with the real enemy through the Inner World; the Spirit World we've discussed before, you're somewhat familiar. The enemy we face now is a powerful being, a spirit but not quite a spirit. How should I put it, he's more like someone from our world, but with the strength of a spirit!"
This explanation was a bit roundabout, but the elder statesmen present understood some of it.
"You mean, a spirit tainted by our world?" Old Cole asked directly.
"You could say that. The Spirit World was pure, sleeping and awakening in cycles, without communication. But once awakened beings broke the barrier with spirits, everything changed. This spirit was among the first to mingle with the awakened ones."
Igor slowly narrated, not too complexly or quickly, just enough for everyone to understand.
Gradually, they understood the opponent is a spirit falling into their world, one seeking perpetual existence...
They realized the opponent's goal isn't entirely malicious, but the means to achieve it were harsh, which was disturbing.
They couldn't imagine a spirit having such ambition, so disregarding others' feelings.
Maybe in their eyes, there was never anyone else; only themselves, their interests.
What's more puzzling is how such a disturbing, selfish creature could possess such strong power, and they couldn't deal with it...
"Why is his power so strong!" someone quietly asked.
"It's just the tip of the iceberg!" Kadi said on the side, "Didn't you hear Igor say? This guy has many underlings!"
"If we don't unite, we'll have no way to deal with this guy!" Igor said, noticing everyone was tense.
"Right! That's how it is. We need to share this information, but how can we make others believe us?" Will Kangen frowned, unsure.
"Relying only on our words makes it hard for others to believe us. Making everyone believe is difficult; right now, those people in front of us are suspicious, thinking we have some special agenda!" An elder from the Kangen Family lamented.
"Indeed, persuading everyone won't be easy."
"But I think Luona and Bistal will definitely believe us. We should share this information with them now!" Igor said.
"Now, all we can do is take it step by step!" Pete Kangen said.
"No, we need to take action!" Will Kangen disagreed with the elder's view, thinking they must act.
"Hmm?" Everyone looked towards the elder.
"No one believes us upon hearing our words, but there's someone whose words will definitely be believed!"
Everyone was curious about Will Kangen's words; who could speak with such effect!
"Did you forget, King Kayne? Once he speaks, he will surely unite everyone." Will Kangen said, his tone somewhat excited, hinting at the actions they were about to take.
