One-Eyed Monster

Chapter 1335 - 1332: I'm in Charge!

  • Next Chapter

The Spirit is puzzled.

He can't believe the things happening before his eyes.

The illusions appearing in front of him are warriors wielding weapons, and he is naturally very familiar with them. He has naturally heard reports of the disturbances in the Border Realm, and he is quite familiar with some of the Resistors' cadres.

He just doesn't understand why these illusions of Resistors would appear here.

This, after all, is his own world. How could there be illusions here? Consciousness and energy are the main elements here; illusions are just a kind of ephemeral bubble that bursts upon contact, having no real power. He doesn't understand why this young man would use summoning techniques to manifest these illusions.

Is it psychological warfare? Is this guy treating himself as a Soul Devourer, trying to gain courage from these Resistors, hoping to use them to scare him?

Isn't this too naive? What use can illusions with such effects have? They'll either be shattered by energy or reduced to ashes by it.

This is entirely unnecessary! Foolish humans always do such redundant things, always engage in inexplicable behaviors.

The Spirit's initial confusion fades into a sense of helplessness now mixed with anger. This anger drives him to speed up his pace; he wants to resolve these nuisances as quickly as possible!

To him, Igor is someone who shouldn't be here at all. This guy's presence in this place is entirely unexpected. He wants to make this unexpected thing nonexistent. Since this guy refuses to answer his questions, then let him be silent, and forever silent.

He wants Igor to know that illusions here are just ephemeral bubbles!

The Spirit manipulates his energy; in this world, energy is straightforward. This time, he will show these reckless people what disparity means, what crushing means!

Energy shot straight towards those Resistors' illusions, but nothing happened!

Those illusions wielded weapons and charged at him, each weapon containing considerable energy.

Whoosh—

The Spirit felt his consciousness disturbed, as if in reality he was being attacked by these Resistors.

What's going on? Why is this happening? Why do these illusions that are like foam have such an effect, why does his energy have no effect on these illusions? This disparity is too great, making him as a Spirit very confused.

"Who the hell are you!" he asked the question again, surprised, as people often do in shock, wanting to know who the other party is, as if knowing who they are gives them a way to deal with them. This is actually a form of self-deception, they just want some psychological comfort, as no one wants to lose to an unknown nobody.

So, the Spirit's question is a very ordinary and natural reaction.

However, this question seems very strange to Igor because he has already answered it. Why does he need to repeat it? He must not have been listening to what he was saying seriously!

"I've already answered it once. Why do you keep asking? Is it funny to keep asking? I really don't know what your monkey brain is thinking?" Igor was a bit impatient.

"Monkey?" The Spirit was very puzzled, wondering why a monkey suddenly came up!

"What's the matter, are you dissatisfied with your appearance? No wonder you want to keep having bodies snatched away!"

"When did I have anything to do with monkeys?" The Spirit was still confused, although he still had to deal with the attacks from those illusions.

"You yourself are a monkey, what's there to be related or not related!" Igor showed a helpless smile. He thought this was simply a joke. A monkey denying he's a monkey.

The Spirit was very uncomfortable with the current scene, as it was not something he was familiar with; he felt this was an illusion, not his own world.

In this, he really guessed right. This was Igor's Inner World, certainly not his own world.

In the Spirit's memory, there's only one world, which is the Inner World as Igor understands it. No matter how it changes, it is ultimately a place for exchanging consciousness. Some people are strong in their consciousness abilities, some are weak, some are familiar, some are unfamiliar, all these are normal things.

Igor's Inner World is colliding with the Spirit World, and now neither is at a disadvantage, they are in a state of standoff. This type of standoff is advantageous for Igor because it allows him to keep exploring and buy time for those outside.

He can feel Kuyi Tulan's consciousness, which is at a disadvantage here, being suppressed by the Spirit, completely in a passive position. Though Kuyi Tulan is angry, he chooses endurance, and his inner world is a bit terrifying. Although Kuyi Tulan's consciousness still stands tall, his body cannot maintain such a state. If his body continues to be hit, it will inevitably be damaged, and when the body can no longer bear the powerful consciousness, Kuyi Tulan won't be anything special either. His body will also be hit, and then it's possible to catch the opponent all in one go.

The illusions Igor created have attack power; he just transformed his condensed energy into them, just like when Kadi previously enveloped the attack means with blue flames outside, it's the same principle. These are meticulous works, the things they have been persisting in.

Such meticulous operations make the Spirit very unsuited, for he is accustomed to being straightforward in his own world, and is very unsuited to such complex combat methods.

"Why do you use this method?" The Spirit felt oppression for the first time within his own world.

"Dreams should naturally be a bit bigger." Igor once again waved his arms, and soon a Resistor appeared, holding a sword with a heavy expression.

"This isn't a dream!" The Spirit is very angry, but he has no temper with Igor's illusions.

"This is Nonoa, my mentor in the Border Realm. Here he will represent my will!" Igor said, his face heavy, evidently he was already immersed in memories, which made him very sad.

"No matter who it is, they will disappear!" The Spirit was also very serious, now on the brink of going berserk.

"In my Inner World, they won't; I'm the one in charge here!" Igor grinned, his smile exceptionally pure.
