One-Eyed Monster
Chapter 1285 - 1281: The Unknown and the Known (Part 2)
Igor was intrigued by Princess Juliette's explanation, especially regarding the Knowing Flower.
"These flowers help us find the whereabouts of Bigas and Xiso, but it takes a while," Princess Juliette reiterated, implying that even with the aid of the Knowing Flower, locating Bigas and Xiso would be challenging.
"What a magical thing this Knowing Flower is!" Igor's eyes sparkled.
"The Knowing Flower is a very discreet bloom, mainly serving as a medium for transmitting information through various plants, absorbing messages from other plants; in essence, it is a medium."
"Medium?" Igor was quite familiar with the term, as Kadi possessed a special energy that functioned primarily as a medium.
"Yes, you've heard of the Alchemist's Connection Spell, haven't you? The general operation of the Knowing Flower is like the Spirit Power Connection Spell, which shares perspective and perception to obtain what one seeks."
Princess Juliette's explanation was quite clear. Igor was no stranger to the Connection Spell; he had utilized it multiple times and had practically mastered the technique.
"So, the Knowing Flower relies on spirit power to link and search for targets?" Igor probed, having some understanding of the principle.
"You could say that, but plants don't possess spirit power; they communicate energy. We must understand this energy to connect with them. Wizards typically master methods to recognize the innate energy of plants, allowing them to harness it."
"Energy!" As Igor listened, the concept seemed increasingly mystical, as if he'd found a connection between certain elements, though his thoughts were muddled, unable to pinpoint it.
"You appear to be in awe of what I've shared," Princess Juliette noticed Igor's strange demeanor and spoke up.
"He's always this startled; I'm used to it," Kadi chimed in, accustomed to Igor's reactions.
"I'm just feeling that what you said connects with some of my past experiences."
"What kind of connection? Tell us; it's important for our exploration, which hasn't been smooth," Princess Juliette pressed Igor.
"But I have no leads; everything seems tangled and chaotic now!" Igor admitted truthfully.
"Is that so? Then let's rest for a while so you can think it through!" Princess Juliette suggested.
Old Cole stepped up, comfortingly patting Igor's shoulder—an exchange among the youth in which he had no place, but he could at least offer a pat on Igor's shoulder.
"No, please continue. The more you say, the more it stirs the mystery in my heart," Igor declined the rest, eager to keep listening, sensing he was close to a breakthrough.
"Alright, let me continue explaining the role of the Knowing Flower," Princess Juliette respected Igor's desire and continued, sharing her findings after numerous attempts, sufficient to provide scholars with summarized patterns.
"The Knowing Flower requires a strong will to search for something, driven by exploration of the unknown. Previously, Xiso and Bigas left their spirit power here, and the Knowing Flower can recognize it clearly; this is known to the flower. To find them, there must be an unknown condition—the conditions you provided."
"Isn't such an unknown too vague?" Igor asked, feeling that such exploration was directionless.
Imagine, their unknown to Xiso is merely a feeling, a strong desire to see him without understanding its origin. This unknown is quite mysterious, and exploring it without direction would indeed be perplexing.
"This is the Knowing Flower's ability—to clear up the most nonsensical things, which is rare, and we use this talent to find Xiso and the others."
Igor began feeling the connections; the Knowing Flower utilizes the known to explore the unknown, similar to how scholars use known returns to deduce unknown situations.
For the part he knew, Igor's mind had formed a complete line.
As for the unknown parts, it's not entirely a blank slate anymore; the unknown points scattered like twinkling stars, winking at Igor to come and take a closer look.
"Exploring unknown conditions is a test of the known, though this phrase may sound awkward, but the principle holds," Princess Juliette continued, having thoroughly explained the Knowing Flower.
Igor's mind had now cleared.
He finally realized many things related to energy...
"I have an inkling now!" Igor exclaimed excitedly.
"Oh, in what aspect, making you so excited?" Princess Juliette asked with a keen interest.
"In every aspect, every aspect!" Igor waved his hands exuberantly.
His emotional outburst made Kadi feel uncomfortable: "Calm down! Why are you so excited?"
"You don't understand; I've had an epiphany! Things troubling me now all have a crucial connection that links so many unknown conditions," Igor remained excited, his mood baffling others.
"Go on!" Princess Juliette sat back, resting her own exhaustion after explaining much.
"It's a long process because there's so much to say!" Igor expressed with excitement.
"Focus on the key points!" Old Cole advised from the side.
"Even focusing on key points involves many processes. They are interlinked and can't be simplified, or it would be incoherent and hard to comprehend," Igor explained.
"Go ahead with your presentation!" Princess Juliette valued Igor's perspective.
"Alright, I'll start explaining slowly!" Igor decided, no longer hesitating.
The recount was relatively slow, as Igor briefly described previous experiences.
