Feng Fuce stepped onto the swamp, pulling one of Fu Niu’s horns, and extracted it from the mire.

As soon as Fu Niu reached the shore, its front legs grew weak and it collapsed to the ground.

Breathing heavily through its nostrils, it kept its dark eyes fixed on Feng Fuce.

Bai Zhi’er descended, noticing three sharp wounds on Fu Niu’s back leg, bleeding.

She reached out to touch it, but Fu Niu let out a short "moo," seemingly unwilling to let Bai Zhi’er touch it.

"What are you resisting? I won’t harm you," Bai Zhi’er said.

From her palm, gentle mana flowed, gradually enveloping Fu Niu.

However, this healing ability seemed to cause Fu Niu to writhe in pain.

Bai Zhi’er quickly withdrew her mana.

"What’s going on?!" she exclaimed in surprise.

Logically, it shouldn’t be like this. Fu Niu was injured, and she was healing it, but why did its internal aura resist her Divine Technique, causing chaos?

Feng Fuce stepped forward, furrowing his brows, and stared for a while.

"This cow is pregnant."

Upon hearing this, Bai Zhi’er was shocked.

She hurriedly reached out with mana to investigate.

Sure enough, within Fu Niu’s constantly heaving belly, there was a pulsating ball of light.

Seeing the color of the light ball, Bai Zhi’er was momentarily stunned: "It’s carrying a Demon Bull’s child."

No wonder Fu Niu was unwilling to return to the Heavenly Court, it must have developed intelligence, even a bit of emotion, perhaps at Caiyun Mountain or elsewhere, meeting a fellow creature it loved.

If taken back, the calf in Fu Niu’s womb wouldn’t survive.

The nine layered heaven would not accept any chaotic bloodlines.

Just like the Demon Clan cannot be part of the ranks of immortals.

Seeing Bai Zhi’er in a contemplative dilemma, Feng Fuce took the initiative to reach out, using Demonic Qi to heal Fu Niu’s injuries.

Compared to Divine Technique, Fu Niu wasn’t resistant to Demonic Qi.

Once healed, it could finally stand up, actively approaching Feng Fuce, gently nudging his palm with its head to express gratitude.

Bai Zhi’er felt a wave of tenderness, unable to resist the urge to touch its horns.

However, Fu Niu warily retreated a step.

It was probably very afraid that Bai Zhi’er would take it back to the Heavenly Court.

"Don’t be afraid, I just want to touch you, not take you away," Bai Zhi’er reassured it.

Fu Niu watched Bai Zhi’er with caution for a while, Feng Fuce then laughed: "I’ll vouch for her, she’s not an unreasonable immortal."

Thus, Fu Niu finally dared to come half an inch closer.

Bai Zhi’er touched its horns, feeling the strong nurturing power within it.

She praised it gently: "You’re truly a remarkable mother. But, where has your husband gone?"

Fu Niu let out two "moo" sounds.

Bai Zhi’er then understood, realizing the Demon Bull had already died.

They came to Caiyun Mountain, seeking to escape the nine layered heaven’s pursuit, but on the first day, the Demon Bull was attacked by the mountain’s venomous snakes.

After battling the snakes fiercely, both sides were severely injured, resulting in their deaths.

Leaving only Fu Niu, pregnant with a calf, to live here.

Noticing it reluctant to leave, Bai Zhi’er withdrew her hand.

"Are you sure you don’t want to return with me to the nine layered heaven? If not, you can’t become a Divine Beast."

Fu Niu showed great understanding, shaking its head resolutely.

Bai Zhi’er knew, it wanted to protect the child in its belly.

Therefore, she respected its choice.

"Alright, when I return, I’ll instruct the Heavenly Soldiers and Heavenly General not to pursue you anymore, you can live at ease without hiding everywhere."
