Noble Pampering: Demon CEO's Relentless Entanglement
Chapter 1252 - 1248: Call Me Husband
Asher Land sat down on the sofa, his long legs crossed. He slightly raised his head and sharply glanced in Eva Miller’s direction, causing her to instinctively step back two steps.
"So, what you’re saying is, you admit he’s your husband?"
"Of course." Upon hearing Asher Land’s query, Eva Miller no longer worried about whether she feared Luke Land. She raised her head and replied firmly.
"Therefore, I hope President Land, you won’t have designs on him anymore. I absolutely won’t agree to him ’marrying’ the Middle East princess, because he is my..."
Sometimes, Eva Miller could be so naive that her intelligence seemed to hit negative numbers. Even when hearing something that was obviously false, she would believe it.
After all, Asher Land was a person with a relatively normal worldview; how could he possibly ask his brother to do such a thing?
He said nothing more, simply stood up. "Regardless, we’re going to meet that client tonight. As for how to seal the deal, whether to sell your body or not, you figure it out."
Seeing Asher Land walk out of the office, Eva Miller finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"Are you really going to meet that Middle East princess?" she asked Luke Land, frowning.
"What do you think?" He chuckled softly. This was a major collaboration for their company—how could he not go?
"Then, are you really going to..." Sell your body?
Of course, Eva Miller didn’t actually say the words, but Luke Land understood what she meant.
He pinched her cheek and shook his head helplessly. "Don’t overthink. Your husband works based on competence, not bedroom skills, got it?"
"..." Alright, she’ll trust him this time.
...
The dinner was held at a certain five-star hotel, with Eva Miller accompanying Luke Land as his date.
The Middle East princess did indeed come, and Eva Miller—thinking like a woman—guessed that the princess indeed had a liking for Luke Land.
In the business world, Luke Land was dashing and had a gentlemanly charm, no wonder women were drawn to him. However, in her presence, he always showed the shameless, rogue, and twisted side.
This business deal eventually went through, not because of selling out physically, but due to Luke Land’s... personal charisma, as Eva Miller thought to herself.
The Middle East princess seemed to be quite fond of Luke Land, even after the deal was concluded, she wanted to meet him again, for reasons unknown.
However, Luke Land refused, stating he was a family man.
After the dinner, on the way home, the smile on Luke Land’s lips never faded.
"What’s so funny..." Eva Miller sat in the passenger seat, sneakily turned her head, and glanced at Luke Land, who was driving.
Luke Land didn’t respond.
"Luke Land!" She felt uneasy inside.
"Call me husband."
"I won’t."
"Didn’t you call me that quite nicely before?"
"..."
Eva Miller didn’t know what she was conflicted about. In fact, she had long accepted the reality of being Luke Land’s woman, but calling him husband was something she couldn’t quite bring herself to do.
Luke Land didn’t push it. After all, there was plenty of time for her to gradually change how she addressed him.
Having spent the whole day at Luke Land’s side, even accompanying him in business discussions, she indeed felt somewhat exhausted. When she got home, she didn’t even change out of her dress and simply wanted to lie down and rest for a bit.
