The Soul-Chasing Blood Spear collided with the first bubble shield, shattering it on the spot. It burst through the resulting crimson mist and struck the second bubble shield, piercing it in the blink of an eye as well.

Yu Xian’s bubble shields proved futile in the face of the Soul-Chasing Blood Spear. It tore straight through them without losing a single fraction of its speed.

"I refuse to believe this!"

Yu Xian immediately raised a hand. A colossal energy sphere instantly formed in the air, while the space at its center rapidly descended into chaos.

Spatial attacks dealt fixed damage. They were much like the water pressure in the deep sea. Their destructive force depended on the amount of pressure exerted, not the user's strength. During the fight with the Supreme Martial Zombie King, Yu Xian had inflicted more damage than Yu Lie, Xiao Cheng, Hua Qiang, and the others precisely because his attacks had the spatial attribute.

Yu Xian stared at the Soul-Chasing Blood Spear and swept his hand forward. "Go!"

He hurled the enormous energy sphere, which measured nearly ten meters in diameter, straight at the spear, which was still piercing through the bubble shields. When the colossal energy sphere slammed into the spear, the spear tore directly through the sphere's thick outer layer of energy and reached its core in an instant.

However, at that moment, Edward's expression abruptly changed far away in the Kingdom of Luzon. He stared in the direction where the spear had disappeared. My attack has actually been stopped!

At the center of the energy sphere, the previously stable Soul-Chasing Blood Spear fell into complete disorder. As mentioned before, the greater the quantity of energy, the purer it needed to be. Within such chaotic space, the spear could clearly no longer maintain its purity. And the result was...

Crack!

A fracture appeared across the spear, and an enormous burst of energy erupted instantly.

Yu Xian sensed the danger the moment the spear cracked. "Not good!"

He immediately teleported into outer space and watched as a mass of crimson energy exploded. The skies over half the planet were dyed red. The terrifying explosion tore through the clouds and the atmosphere, even sweeping away vast amounts of space debris.

This wasn't just a clear, cloudless sky anymore. Half of the planet’s atmosphere had been stripped clean, every single cloud swept away by the devastating shockwave of the blood spear’s detonation.

Yu Xian's face was bathed in crimson light. Gazing down at the enormous crater the blood spear had blasted into the Blue Planet, he muttered to himself, "Terrifying, but... that's all."

Now that he understood the gap between himself and Edward, all that remained was to work hard and grow stronger. The next time they fought would be the day Edward died.

Back at the Kingdom of Luzon, Edward grimly stared at the crimson light blazing in the distance. He knew perfectly well that his attack had failed to strike its target. Although his opponent was currently weaker than him, they gave him an extremely ominous feeling.

Just because the other party was weaker now did not mean they would stay that way in the future. Moreover, his opponent was far more mobile than he was.

No. I absolutely can't sit back and wait for death to come looking for me.

Edward looked around and realized that he needed to accelerate his conquest of the Blue Planet. He could no longer afford to proceed at such a leisurely pace. Only by converting more ordinary humans into vampires as quickly as possible could he become even stronger and prepare himself to face this unknown opponent.

By the time Yu Xian returned to his home in the Huaxia Pocket Dimension, evening was approaching. After hesitating for a moment, he ultimately decided to rest for the night and resume work the next day. After all, Edward's every move remained under his watch, so nothing unexpected should happen.

Thousands of meters above Edward's head, countless microscopic eyeball bubbles were monitoring his every action. Each one was formed from Primordial Pureblood and concealed by True Crimson Energy.

The "illusion" aspect of True Crimson Energy incorporated some of the properties of the Giant Serpent's divine power of deceit. As a result, True Crimson Energy could accomplish certain things that the divine power of deceit could. For example, just as the latter could form a Cloak of Deception, True Crimson Energy could create a True Crimson Cloak.

The thin layer of True Crimson Energy coating the eyeball bubbles was essentially a True Crimson Cloak. With Yu Xian concealing them, Edward would never detect their existence unless he came extremely close to them.

Yu Xian sat on the sofa on the balcony and looked at Wanwan, who was sweeping the ground below in the garden. "Wanwan, go prepare dinner."

Wanwan bowed slightly. After acknowledging the order, she returned inside and began preparing dinner. Although she was an assassin, she had mastered numerous skills to maintain her cover. Acting as a maid was more than easy enough for her.

Yu Xian had barely rested when a chorus of screams erupted from beyond the wall.

"Fish God!"

"Fish God, look over here!"

"Silver hair and red eyes! Aaaaaah!"

"Fish God, I love you! Aaaaaah!"

His appearance immediately stirred the fans waiting nearby into action. They all crowded around, some taking photographs while others screamed excitedly.

Noticing several girls dressed like students, Yu Xian appeared atop the wall and crouched there. "Don't you have school?"

His actions naturally sent them into an even greater frenzy. Several girls became so excited that they could barely speak coherently, and it took Yu Xian quite some time to understand what was happening.

Schools had been temporarily closed. Classes would probably resume in a few days. By then, every student would be able to take courses related to the supernatural, along with physical aptitude tests and other assessments.

One girl blushed. "Fish God, what happened to your hair?"

Touching his silver hair, Yu Xian replied helplessly, "I had to pay a small price to become stronger."

At that moment, many people silently thought, I wouldn't mind paying that price!

After all, Yu Xian's so-called price had not made him uglier. Instead, he had become even more handsome.

A boy asked excitedly, "Fish God, is the progenitor of the Blood Race really that terrifying?"

Yu Xian looked at him and smiled. "Edward is indeed extremely powerful, but don't worry. We'll deal with him soon. We definitely won't let him continue running rampant."

A girl asked fanatically, "Fish God, can you perform the First Bite on me? I want to become one of your bloodkin."

Yu Xian shook his head. "No. I don't plan to create too many bloodkins for now. I'll need to discuss the matter with the leadership first."

He was now indeed capable of performing the First Bite on others and creating new Shining Vampires. As their True Ancestor, the more bloodkins he possessed, the stronger he would become.

Essentially, aside from the Star Divine Artifact, Yu Xian now possessed every ability Edward did. For example, Edward could drain all the blood from his bloodkin. Not only did Yu Xian possess the same ability, but his version was even more powerful and efficient.

However, Yu Xian was not Edward. He had principles he would never cross. No matter how powerful certain abilities could be, he would never use them because doing so would be utterly immoral.

He spent the next ten minutes or so chatting with the fans and reporters. When he saw that it was almost time for Auntie Su Zhuo to finish work, he teleported to Zenith City and brought her home. After they finished dinner together, he washed up and went to bed.

Even without sleeping, he could remain full of energy. However, a night's sleep would leave him even more refreshed the next day. Besides, sleeping felt good, so why would he not sleep?

Early the next morning, he ate breakfast with Su Zhuo. After dropping her off in Zenith City, he teleported to Qilin's headquarters in Yanjing.

When they saw Yu Xian, the previously busy staff members stopped in their tracks and crowded around him.

"Fish God!"

"Aaaaaah! My idol!"

"Fish God, give me an autograph!"

Yu Xian had not expected the staff at Qilin's headquarters to be even more fanatical than his fans. Startled, he hurriedly teleported into Yu Lie's office. However, the office was empty, so he had no choice but to take out his phone and contact him.

Yu Lie answered almost immediately.

—Little Fish?

Upon learning that Yu Xian was in his office, he told him to come to Room 204 on the second floor. Yu Xian hung up and had no choice but to sneak out of the office like a thief before hurrying toward Room 204.
