Necromancer: I Am A Disaster
Chapter 872: Sleep Peacefully, And Wait For Your Husband To Wake You
Some things about the Starlight Path could not be spoken to outsiders.
Yet others had to be shared.
Lin Moyu’s imminent departure was one such matter—temporarily inconvenient to disclose to the world.
But Meng Anwen and the other two had to be informed.
In Lin Moyu’s heart, they were family.
He had already mentioned the Coffin of Slumber to them, and none of the three had chosen to leave this world.
Respecting their decision, Lin Moyu had, upon becoming the world lord, granted them a portion of world force.
With it, they might one day reach the Transcendent God realm and perhaps, if fate allowed, meet again.
As for Emperor Di, once Lin Moyu departed, he would become the strongest being in the Human World, an unshakeable pillar of humanity.
Meng Anwen, Bai Yiyuan, and Yan Kuangsheng stood silently for a long time.
In their eyes was a deep reluctance, like parents watching a child leave on a long journey.
Even though Bai Yiyuan now had a child of his own, to him, Lin Moyu was still like a son.
Bai Yiyuan's and Yan Kuangsheng’s eyes grew faintly red.
Emperor Di snorted, “You two together are almost two hundred years old. Stop whining like a couple of old hens.”
“Only by leaving this world can one climb to greater heights.”
“Do you think I don’t want to leave? I simply lack the ability and fear death!”
“If you have what it takes, cultivate to Transcendent God 3rd tier and leave as well.”
Emperor Di’s tone was the same as always, disciplining juniors as he had decades ago.
Meng Anwen looked at Lin Moyu and simply said, “Take care.”
All emotion was compressed into those two words.
…
Lin Moyu returned to his manor.
Ning Yiyi and the others had not yet come back.
The manor was quiet and empty; the few remaining servants had already departed days earlier.
Alone, Lin Moyu sat in silence, letting his thoughts drift across the journey of less than ten years since his class awakening.
It felt like a fleeting dream, yet every moment was vividly real.
His aura subtly shifted with his memories, becoming quiet and reserved once more.
He rarely spoke except to those closest to him—Antares, Ning Yiyi, Meng Anwen, and a handful of others.
To everyone else, he remained as ever: silent.
Only when footsteps echoed through the manor did he awaken from his reverie.
Ning Yiyi and the other three had returned, seemingly by unspoken agreement.
Five days remained before Lin Moyu’s departure.
He spent those final days with them in quiet warmth, cherishing every moment, for none of them knew when they would meet again.
Five days later, the time to part had finally arrived.
The four girls stood before him, their eyes filled with reluctance.
Unable to hold back any longer, Ning Yiyi burst into tears. The other three fared not much better.
Over the past few years, the bond they had forged had only deepened. Now, standing on the verge of separation, none of them could bear to let go.
Lin Moyu gently wiped away their tears, "There's no need to cry. Just have a good sleep. When you wake up, we'll never have to part again."
Entering the Coffin of Slumber meant sinking into the deepest sleep, remaining unconscious until Lin Moyu awakened them once more.
To Ning Yiyi and the others, it would feel no different from taking a nap.
Even if millions of years passed, it would be the blink of an eye, slipping by within a single dream.
"I know… But I still can't stop myself from crying." Ning Yiyi said through choked sobs.
Leaning close, Shu Han whispered into his ear, "The greater world is full of dangers. Husband, promise you'll be careful."
Mo Yun and Mu Xianxian each took one of his arms and echoed the same earnest plea.
"Husband, you must be careful in everything you do."
Lin Moyu smiled faintly, "Don't worry. Sleep peacefully, and wait for your husband to wake you."
His voice carried unwavering conviction. It was more than reassurance; it was a solemn promise.
After one final moment of tenderness, the time for farewell truly arrived.
Lin Moyu summoned the Coffin of Slumber.
Soul force surged as he activated the coffin.
Within the coffin lay a self-contained world where both time and space stood perfectly still.
Anyone who entered would immediately fall into a deep sleep.
The four girls offered no resistance as they were gently drawn inside.
Through his connection with the coffin, Lin Moyu could clearly sense that they had already fallen into deep slumber.
He drew the Coffin of Slumber into his soul world, placing it before his soul main body.
After letting out a quiet sigh, he turned and left the manor.
A majestic force descended from the heavens, enveloping the entire manor.
World force wrapped around the manor like an invisible barrier. Without Lin Moyu's permission, no one could set foot inside.
Even a Transcendent God 9th tier expert would be unable to force their way in.
He was the world lord. Within this world, his will was absolute.
Taking out the Dragon scale, Lin Moyu opened a spatial channel.
After casting one final glance at the Human World, he turned and stepped into the channel.
The Immemorial Battlefield, the lower layer.
Lin Moyu arrived at Shenxia City.
In truth, the Shenxia City was the Godslaying Fortress, a renowned weapon of the greater world.
When its full power was unleashed, the Godslaying Fortress was capable of slaying even True Gods. Its destructive might was staggering.
Leaving such a weapon idle for a thousand years had been an enormous waste.
In the past, it had served as humanity's stronghold in the lower layer.
But now that both the Dragonkind and the Abyss Demons had been eradicated, Shenxia City's importance had greatly diminished.
The Thunderclap Tower’s outer tower appeared in Lin Moyu's hand.
As the inner and outer towers resonated, he poured his power into the outer tower, using it to command the inner tower.
In an instant, he gained complete control over the Godslaying Fortress.
Power surged into the fortress, causing it to tremble violently.
The next moment, everyone inside felt their vision blur before suddenly finding themselves standing outside Shenxia City.
Under countless stunned gazes, the Godslaying Fortress slowly rose into the air.
The Thunderclap Tower emerged from its center as the Godslaying Fortress began to transform in midair, its massive frame rapidly contracting.
The entire city became a tower barely ten meters tall and five meters wide—identical in appearance to the Thunderclap Tower.
At that instant, a spatial channel opened above.
The Godslaying Fortress shot into it as a streak of light and disappeared without a trace.
Silence fell over the crowd.
Shenxia City, which had stood here for a thousand years, had simply flown away.
An entire city had transformed into a tower before vanishing into space.
Who would believe such a thing if they hadn't witnessed it with their own eyes?
"My heavens... what just happened?"
"How could Shenxia City just fly away? That's impossible!"
"Every year brings strange events, but this year really takes the cake."
The crowd buzzed with speculation, yet no one came close to the truth.
Meanwhile, inside the tower, Lin Moyu controlled the Godslaying Fortress as it shot through space toward Antares.
Although his current strength was far from sufficient to unleash the fortress's full power, using it for travel was more than enough.
In its tower form, the Godslaying Fortress could traverse space with astonishing efficiency.
As its master, Lin Moyu needed only a single thought to command it.
In the blink of an eye, the Godslaying Fortress pierced into the upper layer, streaking toward Antares at incredible speed.
"It's even faster than using my Deathwings at full speed."
"And it only consumes a tiny fraction of my power."
"This is only within a small world. Once it returns to the greater world, where it truly belongs, its speed should be even more astonishing."
Lin Moyu silently compared the two methods of travel.
The Deathwings were undeniably fast, but they constantly consumed soul force.
Soul force was not limitless, and conserving it whenever possible was always the wiser choice.
The Godslaying Fortress had no such limitation. It drew the energy it needed directly from space.
As long as it wasn't engaged in battle, the energy it absorbed was more than enough to sustain high-speed travel.
Just ten seconds later, the Godslaying Fortress reached Antares's location.
Lin Moyu stepped out and, with a thought, stored away the fortress.
As a weapon of extraordinary rank, the Godslaying Fortress could be stored within his soul world whenever it was not in use.
