The two of them had successfully arrived at the Lake of Mirrors, and it truly was a beautiful place.

"Wow, it’s even prettier than I imagined, just like the legends said! And this lake is absolutely enormous; it feels like you can’t even see its edges. It must be incredibly deep, but how can you see the bottom then?" Hiroshi said, looking at the vast lake before him, smiling at Harumiko.

Harumiko nodded in agreement. She felt the same way. This lake was so immense. No matter how big it was, it couldn’t be shallow. So, to really understand, they would have to walk onto the lake’s surface to investigate.

"Yes, if it really is like the legends say, we should walk out onto the lake. Maybe we truly can see the bottom and our reflections, just as the stories claim!" Harumiko said to Hiroshi with a smile.

Hiroshi nodded with a smile, and together they slowly began to walk forward. They noticed that the lake was incredibly clear, without any dirt or debris, and perfectly calm, just like a mirror.

"I can’t believe such a huge lake has absolutely no ripples. It’s really strange, but it does make the surface look exactly like a giant mirror!" Hiroshi said, looking at the lake with a smile.

Harumiko nodded, agreeing with him. She also felt the same way. This lake was truly massive, and finding its end seemed almost impossible.

"But now I’m wondering, if the mission is correct, then the Black Tortoise shouldn’t be here, right? But the system said it’s in the Lake of Mirrors. That’s really odd. Even though you can see the bottom from the surface, there’s no sign of the Black Tortoise!"

"Perhaps there’s another possibility: maybe there’s a hidden, secret place at the bottom of the lake where it’s hiding. It’s hard to say. We should walk further onto the lake and see if we can discover anything!" Hiroshi thought to himself as they ventured onto the lake’s surface.

Hiroshi and Harumiko had indeed arrived quite early today. There were very few people around, as most hadn’t arrived yet. So, the place felt very spacious and empty to them. However, they knew that soon, many more people would start to appear.

"Hiroshi, we’re finally on the surface of the lake! It really does look like a mirror, and what’s even more surprising is that you truly can see the bottom! It’s incredibly clear, just like the legends said!" Harumiko exclaimed, standing on the lake’s surface and smiling at Hiroshi.

Hiroshi nodded with a smile. He also saw the bottom of the lake, and it was indeed crystal clear.

"It’s true! The legends didn’t lie. This place is really amazing. But I still don’t understand why this lake is so clear!" Hiroshi said softly, standing on the lake’s surface and gazing at the bottom.

"It’s highly possible that the people here clean it regularly, which keeps it so pristine. This way, the lake isn’t polluted, and this village doesn’t have many sources of pollution either. So, the lake being so clear must be one of the reasons!" Harumiko said, looking around the large lake with a smile.

Hiroshi felt that Harumiko made a good point. If there were no pollution, the lake could indeed be this clear, which made perfect sense.

"Well, let’s not worry about why it’s so clear. We shouldn’t pry too much. But regardless, this lake is truly astonishing. Such a huge and clean body of water, and not a single ripple on its surface. It’s just like a giant mirror laid on the ground!" Hiroshi said softly with a smile.

Harumiko also nodded. She was very happy standing on the lake’s surface. As ninjas, they both possessed the basic skill of using chakra to stand on water without sinking.

"It’s truly incredible! I wish the Leaf Village had such a beautiful sight. But unfortunately, we don’t. However, we’re lucky to witness this, which is a wonderful thing!" Harumiko said softly, smiling as she watched the small fish and turtles swimming at the bottom of the lake.
