Chapter 737: NASM - 737

"I can’t believe we bought so many things today! I’m just so happy. This is the first time I’ve ever bought this much stuff in a single village. And honestly, I didn’t feel tired at all the whole time we were walking around! It just goes to show that us girls really are naturally better at shopping than you boys are!" Harumiko said cheerfully as she unpacked their purchases, turning to Hiroshi with a bright smile.

Hiroshi nodded in agreement. He certainly felt the difference – after walking around all day, his body felt completely drained of energy, yet Harumiko still looked full of life. It really was true that there was a big gap between how boys and girls handled shopping.

"You can say that again! I honestly didn’t think we’d be able to shop for a whole day without stopping. And we got so many things too. I think this is the first time we’ve ever bought this much in one place, isn’t it? It really feels amazing!" Hiroshi said, smiling back at her.

Harumiko nodded happily. It was true – even though they had travelled to so many places, this was the first time they had bought so many things all in one village.

"This is wonderful! Now we actually have something to do tonight, otherwise it would have been so boring. We might even stay up a little late, because these games look like so much fun. It’s just the two of us, so I’m sure we’ll have a great time!" Harumiko said excitedly.

Hearing this, Hiroshi perked up immediately. For such a long time while they were travelling, there had been absolutely nothing to do at night except sleep. Now that they finally had something to play with, of course he was going to be enthusiastic! Though he had to admit, he had very little experience with board games like these.

"Really? If that’s the case, then tonight won’t be boring at all! It’s great that we finally found something to entertain ourselves with. I’m sure the things we bought are going to be really fun!" Hiroshi said softly with a smile.

"Exactly! When I was buying them, I noticed these specific games were selling out the fastest, while other things weren’t moving at all. That must mean they’re really good and super fun to play!" Harumiko said as she picked up a few boxed board games and held them up.

She walked over slowly and sat down beside Hiroshi. It had been such a long time since she had played anything like this.

"It brings back so many memories. I remember playing games like this with my parents when I was little. But I haven’t played with them in years now... they’re always so busy with work, and I’m always away on missions, so we just never have the time. It looks like tonight I finally get to play with you instead!" Harumiko said softly, looking at the games in her hands with a warm smile.

It was true that as children grow up, parents tend to spend less time with them. Generational gaps start to form, and there are fewer and fewer things they can enjoy together. There always seems to be some kind of distance or barrier that grows between them over time.

"Is that so? Well then, we’re definitely going to have a great time tonight. Though I have to warn you, I’ve completely forgotten how to play these things. You’ll have to teach me step by step later, okay? Otherwise I really won’t know what I’m doing!" Hiroshi said, shaking his head with a laugh.

Harumiko nodded confidently and said, "Don’t worry, I’ll teach you everything. Leave it to me! I’m sure I can figure out the rules very quickly, and then I’ll explain them to you easily. That way we can start playing as soon as possible!"

Hiroshi smiled and nodded. He had always known how smart Harumiko was – she had an almost photographic memory, and she could understand anything just by looking at it once. It was the same with her Ninjutsu training; she had an incredibly high talent and learned everything instantly.

"Alright, I trust you completely. Tonight we can just sit here quietly and enjoy our game. You stay here and rest for a bit, I’m going to go soak my feet first. They are aching so badly right now, I really need to soak them to feel better! Once I’m done, if you’re ready, you can go take a bath. We were out walking all day in the heat, so we must have sweated quite a bit!" Hiroshi said as he slowly stood up, smiling gently at her.

Harumiko nodded happily in response. She placed the board games on the bed, then walked back over to the pile of things they had bought and started organising the rest of their items.
