Chapter 836 468: The Cosmos in Utter Chaos (Part 2)

Xue Dili instantly felt he had decoded a very important piece of ancient intel; if only the Mimic Venerable King were awake right now, then he could borrow that vast computing power to deduce even more information.

But vaguely, Xue Dili also felt something was off.

Is the Lord of Mist really "Fuge"?

This was a suspicion without evidence, just a gut feeling that something didn't quite add up.

Like, if one day "Xue Dili" were to split Little Dragon Lady in two, into a human half and a dragon half, and then send the two halves off to complete their respective missions—could a mongrel who would actually do that to his own daughter still be called Xue Dili himself?

That was the origin of this doubt, but with so little information at hand and the Mimic Venerable King still asleep, Xue Dili could only temporarily bury this speculation deep in his heart.

As for that slogan saying "Cosmos United Front Established," it was probably that the civilizations back then had all realized how terrifying that Cosmic Void was, so they banded together to build a line of defense.

Xue Dili felt this kind of spirit-vision shouldn't be the Lord of Mist's own memories, because this time the vision used a different point of view, whereas during his first spirit-vision he'd seen from Fuge's perspective, and at a time when the Venerable King had already been born.

Next time he has a spirit-vision, he can try probing It by calling It "Fuge."

And right now, this spirit-vision that seemed to come from the Lord of Mist's own flesh and blood left his mind utterly exhausted; even though his stats had now reached Apostle Level, just watching this fragment of vision was enough for Xue Dili to feel a tide of fatigue and madness crashing over him.

Or is this actually the price of his mind resisting the Lord of Mist's intrusion?

Since he could use the resonance between this fused lump of flesh and this Divine Tree to locate the Lord of Mist, then the Lord of Mist could definitely use this same lump of flesh to find him; it's just that this flesh, having been processed by the Mimic Venerable King, had the ability to respond—though the cost was a bit high.

The insect plague on Eden Star was already resolved, but the coordinates here had been exposed to the Lord of Mist's field of view, so they had to relocate as soon as possible.

What's more, just 4 Light-years away lay the Solar System, and 3 Light-years in the other direction was Fairy Tale Star; if the Lord of Mist found this place, it could just make a loop and conveniently pick up the coordinates of Earth and Fairy Tale Star along the way.

Xue Dili absolutely would not allow that to happen.

If possible, he even wanted to move Eden Star away, and then stay behind himself, waiting in place for the Lord of Mist's arrival.

After dealing with all the greetings and "let's-be-relatives" from the Earth Divine Era creatures on Eden Star, Xue Dili felt even more worn out.

Even here, the whole "let's trace kinship" routine still seemed to be all the rage.

For example, folks from the Eastern Realm of Sumeru claimed to be "Celestial People," telling Xue Dili to acknowledge his ancestors and come over to the Eastern Realm of Sumeru to change his surname to Tu Shan.

The Kobolds said they could feel the power of the great Priest Set and also told Xue Dili to come over and recognize some relatives or something.

After all, the dog-head was the great Priest Set's illegitimate child; although Xue Dili hadn't seen the living great Priest Set here on Eden, the power of the Giant God of Destruction did indeed originate from the great Priest Set.

Then there were those second- and third-generation kids from Greece trying to rope him in—they'd grown up listening to stories about Xediles—and a big-bearded man from the Middle East, who only said, "You can call me Yeg. I'm currently a logistics officer under Chaos. Divine King Chaos wishes to summon you."

Xue Dili: "..."

He sucked in a sharp breath the moment he heard that name.

If he wasn't hearing things, then he'd actually run into Ye Gezi's Mortal World vessel; except here, Ye Gezi hadn't become a God, but had his divine office stolen by Zeus, and later, after the Divine Era collapsed, was forced to join the great Divine Era battle royale.

However, when Xue Dili looked at this big-bearded guy, he really didn't look like a Jewtai person at all, but more like a Canaanite from the Middle East, or someone from Ancient Babylon.

No wonder, in Earth's myths, this one really is the Jewtai-loving Human King—if he's not in the middle of loving the Jewtai People, he's on his way to go love the Jewtai People.

After all, the Jewtai People had occupied the Canaanites' land and stolen this whole group of Canaanite Gods and kings as their own Gods and kings.

Yes—Ye Gezi, Jesus, Solomon, David… every last one of them were Canaanites, people from what is now Palestine and Syria…

It's basically like a bandit taking all the achievements of another civilization as his own, then frantically persecuting the descendants of that civilization—not only erasing the true Canaanite civilization, but also trying to wipe them out physically and genetically.

He wondered whether, if he told this Ye Gezi what was happening on Earth right now, the guy would get mad.

Well, even in the original Earth canon, after this Lord became a God, his temper was still explosive—constantly roasting, drowning, charring, and having bugs devour the Jewtai People as cooking methods…

So even if he found out now, he'd probably just turn the heat up even higher…

Meeting Ye Gezi's Mortal World vessel was just a minor interlude anyway; this wasn't that Divine King Ye Gezi, but the human Yeg.

It was only when he finally met Chaos that Xue Dili felt as if he might actually collapse from exhaustion, but he still couldn't rest. He could only say, "The swarm has been cleared, but the coordinates here are exposed. We have to escape as soon as possible, otherwise there's no telling what'll show up next time…"
