My Weekly Refreshing Mentor Spirit
Chapter 811 - 458: Caught the Mimic Venerable King of the Mist Council (2)
In fact, in the future, they will also discover more efficient and useful energy sources, thus freeing themselves from electricity and venturing further into the future.
The Mimic Venerable King silently watched as Xue Dili was troubleshooting the power failure, while also observing the electrical wires that climbed all the way from afar. Xue Dili installed some bizarre electrical installations in a neighborhood, enabling them to generate and store energy, then invert the stored energy into 10kV alternating current to be transmitted here, then transform it into alternating current through a transformer...
This constitutes the basic path of bizarre power generation. As for the surplus energy, Xue Dili prepared a massive energy reserve device, scavenged from a bankrupt electric vehicle manufacturer, which for now is more than sufficient to supply for the school.
During these days, even the family members were quite puzzled by Xue Dili’s whereabouts.
Day by day, he moved all sorts of electrical equipment into the house, but soon those electrical devices would disappear.
Even bundles of cables, wires, and various parts were moved into the yard, disappearing soon afterward, making even Fafnir realize that Xue Dili might be up to something unknown to them.
Nonetheless, Xue Dili brushed it off, spending just a bit more time at home with his daughter and Fafnir, while discreetly obtaining some cosmic medicinal materials from the situation over at the Mimic Venerable King and concocting a soup to give to his aunt to drink.
After some time, his aunt’s complexion improved significantly, at least she no longer seemed as if she could die at any moment.
Days passed in this peaceful routine.
...
Meanwhile, after absorbing the Seventh Apostle on the Mimic Venerable King’s side, his brow furrowed tightly.
The essence of the Seventh Apostle and the Evil Eye were identical, even being another Evil Eye. As part of the Venerable King, he could be easily absorbed by the Mimic Venerable King, instantly becoming an external organ like the Evil Eye.
But after absorbing the Seventh Apostle, the Mimic Venerable King discovered many secrets, including the location of the Mist Council.
The location of the Mist Council was not only a curiosity for the Interstellar Corps and the Mimic Venerable King but despite continuous tracking attempts, remained elusive.
Even for the other Apostles, the location of the Mist Council was a curiosity, and attempts to find it were made.
Even Xue Dili, serving as an Apostle for nearly half a year now, only knew the Mist Council resided deep within Subspace, close to the Venerable King’s Subspace Barrier.
Because only there could they feel the pronounced energy tides, occurring every seven days, during which the true Venerable King fortifies the Subspace Barrier, and the energy tide leaks from the end of Subspace.
This energy tide, even for the Apostles, was an undeniable force, fostering the habit of gathering for the energy tide each Divine Lord Day, eventually forming the current weekly council.
Because bathing in the energy tide was the main activity, the meeting was actually secondary.
This was essentially Xue Dili’s comprehensive understanding of the Mist Council. Specific details such as its exact location in Subspace, or why the Venerable King didn’t destroy it while repairing the Subspace Barrier, remained unknown to him.
However, the Mimic Venerable King, upon consuming the Seventh Apostle, felt as if discovering a new world.
The Seventh Apostle, being an Apostle mostly dwelling in Subspace, naturally had a strong interest in the Mist Council’s location. Even attempting to relocate his Subspace to align with the Mist Council’s position, hoping to fill his Subspace directly with the energy tide.
But he eventually abandoned this plan, yet the information left behind might disclose the true location of the Mist Council.
"Perhaps I could visit those places, taking Hassan along... We could look out for each other for safety. Hassan..." The Mimic Venerable King paused, then realized Hassan was already dead.
Before him, unable to control the erosion of Void within, Hassan transformed into a Void creature and merged with the Void entity at the end of Subspace.
Thus, the rising thought was extinguished instantly; the Mimic Venerable King was indeed an absolutely rational being. Relying on computational power and understanding of cosmic essence, he was the most rational being in the Cosmos.
Yet now, without reason, he sighed again, "Only I remain..."
"Now it’s just me..."
He didn’t plan to invite Xue Dili along, as even in the form of the Beast of the End, Xue Dili remained too weak, notwithstanding his status as an "Apostle," even possessing more than one authority.
But it was still too dangerous; instinctively, the Mimic Venerable King didn’t want the successor chosen by this dear old friend to embark on adventure with him.
As for others in the Interstellar Corps, if dealing with individual Apostles, they might have a chance, but facing the entire Mist Council, the Mimic Venerable King wouldn’t let these talents he cultivated with immense effort face death in Subspace like anonymous waste.
"When did I become so indecisive and hesitant?" The Mimic Venerable King suddenly found his thoughts amusing.
He is the strongest being in the Cosmos. Currently, he believes that he has at least seventy percent of the Venerable King’s strength before his death, a strength in which he doesn’t fear those evil gods at the end of Subspace, let alone the material Cosmos.
The Apostles who can wield only a portion of authority pose an overwhelming disparity in power to him, defined by Xue Dili as "Tier Six."
The strength gap between the Mimic Venerable King and other Apostles might be even larger than that between the First Apostle and Xue Dili.
A being like him capable of casually causing a galaxy to warp, single-handedly sealing a black hole, would likely be seen as sheer despair by the Apostles.
So why hesitate?
If the Apostles want to challenge him at the end of Subspace, the Mimic Venerable King fears them even less, for there’s a True God there, the true body of the Venerable King repairing the barrier, keeping Void and other evil gods at bay.
If truly there, perhaps the true Venerable King wouldn’t stand idly by, although from the Mimic Venerable King’s perspective, his old buddy seemed transformed into an odd evil god composed solely of concepts and philosophy.
Yet it didn’t matter; from his protection, even if his old buddy became a monstrous figure, he still acknowledged him.
Thus, with no more hesitation, after splitting an avatar dedicated to maintaining the Interstellar Corps, his true body prepared to embark on a search for the Mist Council, determined to end them and bring temporary peace to the Cosmos.
Currently, the Cosmos was too chaotic; even though the Interstellar Corps could safeguard some civilizations, it was but a drop in the ocean for the entire Cosmos.
If vanquishing the Mist Council might appease some disasters occurring in the Cosmos.
At least, it wouldn’t get worse than now.
The Mimic Venerable King, of course, knew that once the Mist Council disappeared, many others would try to follow that path, to approach the Venerable King through this shortcut. Such opportunists were never few across the Cosmos.
But at least the newbies would have the entire Interstellar Corps to suppress them, as opposed to now, where the Tier Five members of the Interstellar Corps, forbidden by the Mimic Venerable King to wield authority, couldn’t intervene in the Apostle’s conflicts.
And wouldn’t achieving the feat of eliminating the Mist Council mean surpassing his old buddy’s accomplishments?
Soon enough, he ventured into Subspace, following the coordinates provided by the Seventh Apostle, beginning an extensive search in the area very close to the Subspace Barrier.
"Indeed, you showed yourself, found your position, didn’t I?" The Mimic Venerable King laughed, finally locating the true position of the Mist Council!
