Gu Chen gulped as he watched Feng Shuran walk toward him in deliberate, slow steps.

But before she could reach him, a strong wind swept through the mountain peak, clapping against the walls of the house.

At the same time, a loud, arrogant voice resounded through the air outside.

"Where is Invisible Killer? Come out now!" The voice ordered. One could instantly tell it belonged to a man, and he wasn’t very young.

Inside the room, Gu Chen and Feng Shuran stared at each other; neither of them moved immediately. Gu Chen was curious as to who could be looking for trouble again.

The forces of Oghara have been very obedient lately, so it couldn’t likely be them.

Unless they invited help from outside.

As for Feng Shuran. Her expression went from teasing to an icy one. Her eyes were still narrowed, but her crimson pupils now had a sharp, cold glint in them.

"I said come out!" The voice thundered once more as a loud boom followed.

Either they had crashed into the barrier around the mountain or attacked it.

Without saying a word, Gu Chen stood up and headed out. Feng Shuran calmly straightened her dress and followed him.

They saw Ting Ting in the center of the courtyard when they came out.

"Uncle Chen, sect master." The girl called out after seeing them. Her big eyes were filled with curiosity; she wanted to know who was looking for the sect master.

"Stay here," Gu Chen said and kept walking. Feng Shuran followed him.

Both of them came out and looked up.

Five figures were currently in the sky above the mountain peak.

One was an old man with sharp eyebrows, a short beard that took the form of a sword hanging down his chin.

Behind the old man were three youths in green robes. One girl with short brown hair and two boys who looked alike.

All of them had arrogant expressions as they stared at Feng Shuran and Gu Chen, who had just come out of the courtyard.

As for the fifth person. Feng Shuran’s eyes flashed with killing intent while Gu Chen’s expression grew cold upon seeing the last person.

It was Quin Xuxu, the first elder of the Bloody Rose sect. She wasn’t standing in the flying sword beside the other four. Instead, one of the boys behind the old man was grabbing her by the air and dragging her in the air like a bag of dirt.

Quin Xuxu wasn’t making any soup; her face was bloody, and one of her hands was twisted in the wrong direction.

Seeing the two of them come out, the youth who was holding Quin Xuxu’s hair waved his hand and tossed her toward the ground.

From such a height, Quin Xuxu would definitely sustain serious injuries if she landed on the ground, even though he was a Foundation Establishment Realm cultivator. After all, she was already badly injured.

Whoosh!

Feng Shuran shot into the air and caught Quin Xuxu before landing beside Gu Chen.

Both of them looked at the woman in Feng Shuran’s arms. Now that she was with them, they could hear her weak groans and see the details of her injuries clearly.

Feng Shuran’s blood boiled. She gently laid Quin Xuxu on the ground and took out a bottle of pills.

While Feng Shuran was feeding the pill to Quin Xuxu, the four people in the air observed them in silence.

The three youths weren’t too concerned and were still looking arrogant.

However, the old man had a thoughtful look while staring at Feng Shuran.

He was familiar with her as he had seen her a few times during previous Beast Valley Tournaments. But now, she was a Nascent Soul Realm cultivator, the same realm as himself.

’She shouldn’t have had a breakthrough so soon; did she get help from somewhere? Which family or sect is trying to make a move on Oghara?’ the old man thought silently as he kept looking at Feng Shuran.

The four of them were from a big sect in another region and had built a relationship with the Dae Qu sect. For this year’s tournament, the old man had brought three of his disciples who were all at the Core Formation Realm from his sect to come train here.

Upon getting here, he had learnt that the Dae Qu sect had been wiped out by Invisible Killer. This was like a slap in the face since he had ties with the sect, but Invisible Killer didn’t respect that.

He had immediately come to seek out Invisible Killer, but now that he saw Feng Shuran, he realised that their strengths weren’t much different. A fight between them would end up with unpredictable results.

It was best to ask questions first.

As for the man beside her. At first glance, he looked very mysterious. But after close inspection, the old man concluded that he was just an ordinary person whom Invisible Killer was keeping by her side.

"Invisible Killer, I haven’t seen you in a while, and you’ve already caught up with me. Congratulations on breaking through to the Nascent Soul Realm." The old man said, drifting forward slowly.

On the ground, Feng Shuran had finished feeding the pill to Quin Xuxu. The woman stopped groaning, and her injuries were healing quickly as the effects could clearly be seen.

She was bound to heal fully in a minute or so.

Now that, Feng Shuran stood up and looked up.

"Who did this?" She asked, staring at the four people with a murderous stare.

The old man paused. He knew about Invisible Killer’s reputation as a ruthless killer and a skilled assassin. She would definitely be more frightening now that she was at the Nascent Soul Realm.

He glanced at the three youths behind him and let out a sigh.

"Invisible killer, let’s not pursue the matter. Kids can be hot-headed sometimes, and mistakes happen. I’ll give your elder a few spirit stones as compensation." He said while staring at Feng Shuran.

Although he looked like he was trying to straighten things out, he refused to apologise, and his expression remained aloof.

"Hmph, a mere Foundation Establishment Realm trash dared to talk back to me? She should be grateful I only taught her a small lesson." The youth who had been dragging Quin Xuxu by the hair earlier harrumphed after hearing his master’s conversation with the white-haired woman.

"Indeed, people in Oghara are too weak, so even ants think they deserve respect. They should be the ones giving us spirit stones." The only girl in the group added in a casual yet strong tone.

"That’s enough," the old man spoke softly, a smile on his face.

Feng Shuran’s eyes landed on one of the boys.

"It’s you then," she said softly.

Whoo!

A terrifying pressure suddenly descended on the four people like a mountain. The old man was almost unaffected since he was also a Nascent Soul Realm cultivator, but his three disciples were only at the Core Formation Realm.

Full pressure from a Nascent Soul Realm crashed on them, and they immediately found themselves falling from the sky, barely able to breathe.

The three "!!!"

The old man "!!!"

They were shocked; they didn’t expect Feng Shuran to make a move.

"Stop right now!" The old man shouted and released his own pressure.

Boom!

Pressure from both sides collided and cancelled each other. The three youths were finally able to move again. They quickly summoned their flying swords and rose back into the air before they came crashing into the force field.

The old man took a moment to observe his disciples before looking back at Feng Shuran. However, he realised that only the woman whom his disciples had injured and the ordinary man were there.

Invisible killer was gone!

"No!" the old man yelled and turned towards his disciples, particularly the one who said he had taught Quin Xuxu a lesson.

But he was too late as Feng Shuran appeared in front of the boy like a ghost, silver threads flying in the air around her.

Swish! Swish!! Swish!!!

Feng Shuran waved her hands rapidly to the point that they turned blurry; her silver threads flashed through the air hundreds of times with each movement of hers.

"Huh?" The youth looked at the white-haired woman who had suddenly appeared in front of him, startled. He didn’t realise what had happened yet.

He immediately tried to move back, but before he could, his body suddenly broke into countless small pieces.

This was the result of Feng Shuran’s attack just now.

"Gasp!" The remaining two disciples gasped in fright after seeing what Feng Shuran had done to their fellow disciple.

At the same time, the old man flew towards Feng Shuran.

"How dare you?" He roared angrily as he arrived beside Feng Shuran the next moment and attacked her.

Bam!

Feng Shuran blocked the attack but was pushed back several tens of meters in the air.

After steadying herself, she looked at the pieces of flesh that were falling to the ground.

Something wasn’t right.

’There is no blood,’ Feng Shuran said inwardly.
