Chapter 43: Second Villainess

  • Next Chapter

After learning of Ting Ting’s age, Gu Chen asked her how she had ended up in the Bloody Rose sect. Something told him that this kid wasn’t from Oghara.

Of course, he wasn’t sure, and it was just a hunch.

To his question, Ting Ting started telling the story of how she ended up joining the Bloody Rose sect. Turned out that Gu Chen’s guess was right. Ting Ting wasn’t from Oghara but from a small village in a different region.

This region was even weaker than Oghara, and the strongest power there only had one Core Formation Realm cultivator. Ting Ting was a lone cultivator there, and she didn’t even know how she had come to enter the QI Gathering Realm.

The Lightning Gorilla God technique that she used had been taught to her in a dream, and she was able to live comfortably there; not even Foundation Establishment Realm seniors dared to bully her.

However, she was minding her business one day when a scary woman suddenly appeared and suppressed Ting Ting. She tried fighting back but was hopeless against that person.

After she was captured, she heard the woman saying that she would turn Ting Ting into a human cauldron because she had a special talent.

Ting Ting had no idea what a human cauldron was, but it sounded bad; she didn’t want to be turned into whatever it was.

Ting Ting was taken away, and no one was able to stop the scary woman.

Luckily, while the scary woman was taking her away, she was attacked by some cultivators, and Ting Ting used the opportunity to escape.

Their position at that time happened to be close to Oghara, and Ting Ting fled as fast as she could.

After reaching Oghara, she quickly learned of the Bloody Rose and its Nascent Soul Realm leader, Invisible Killer, who was able to kill hundreds of cultivators by herself.

Ting Ting had immediately decided to join the Bloody Rose in hopes of escaping the scary woman who wanted to turn her into a human cauldron.

"That’s why I came here," Ting Ting said honestly, staring at Gu Chen and Feng Shuran with slight guilt on her face.

She knew that she might be bringing trouble to them by doing this, but she didn’t have any other choice. She could only hope that the sect master was strong enough to fight that scary woman and, if possible, defeat her!

After listening to Ting Ting, Gu Chen and Feng Shuran glanced at each other and fell into silence.

They both knew what a human cauldron was. It wasn’t necessarily an evil method of cultivation, but it was still wicked regardless, since it didn’t benefit the one being used as a cauldron at all.

Instead, their talent would only benefit their master for as long as they remained a cauldron.

Gu Chen pulled his eyebrows together. Could it be that someone else had discovered Ting Ting’s special bloodline? If they had turned Ting Ting into a human cauldron, then the bloodline of the ancient humans in her would greatly benefit them.

If that was the case, whoever had captured Ting Ting must still be searching for her, as they wouldn’t let go of such a rare ancient bloodline so easily.

But at the same time, they might not have discovered her ancient human bloodline and just assumed that Ting Ting was an extremely talented junior; that too was enough reason to turn her into a human cauldron.

Whatever the reasons there were, Gu Chen couldn’t allow anyone to turn his villainess into a human cauldron for their own benefits!

Since Ting Ting had appeared before him, the other party could only blame their luck and give up. If they remained persistent, then they were courting death!

Gu Chen wasn’t one to show mercy when offended, at least not since after his incident with the alliance.

"Do you want to join my Bloody Rose organisation?" Gu Chen suddenly asked.

Hearing his question, Feng Shuran looked at him in shock while Ting Ting stared in confusion.

Feng Shuran was shocked because she knew the Bloody Rose that her master was talking about. It was the organisation that she had joined and was supposed to be her master’s sword during the battle against the Seven Realms Alliance in the future.

She knew that her master was going to recruit other cultivators into the organisation eventually, as she couldn’t be the only member, but why add a kid at the QI Gathering Realm?

In Feng Shuran’s opinion, even a Foundation Establishment Realm cultivator wasn’t qualified to join the Bloody Rose organisation!

However, she didn’t say anything and just stood quietly on the side. If her master felt that an ant was qualified to join, then she would accept it!

Meanwhile, Ting Ting blinked at Gu Chen.

"Uncle Chen, aren’t I already a member of the Bloody Rose sect?" She asked. She believed that her memory was relatively good; she had become a core disciple of the sect today.

If she still wasn’t a part of the Bloody Rose, then what about those inner disciples and outer disciples?

Looking at her bewildered face, Gu Chen smiled and explained.

The Bloody Rose sect and the Bloody Rose organisation were two different things.

One was only a branch, while the other was the main thing. He proceeded to elaborate more by stating that the sect master of the Bloody Rose sect was only a member of the Bloody Rose organisation.

He didn’t state that she was also the only member, though.

Hearing this, Ting Ting’s eyes widened so big that it looked like her eyeballs would fall out.

Her mouth opened wide enough to fit an entire fist.

The Bloody Rose sect that was already the strongest force in Oghara was just a branch of another organisation? And the fearsome sect master of the sect was just an ordinary member in that organisation?

Just how strong was this Bloody Rose organisation?

"U-Uncle Chen, what about you? Are you also a member of the organisation?" Ting Ting asked. Although the answer was obvious, she still wanted to know.

After all, the sect master was very respectful to this person and even called him master, yet he appeared weaker than her after careful observation.

"Me?" Gu Chen chuckled slightly before saying.

"I’m the manager, as well as the owner of the organisation."

Ting Ting "!!!!"

Uncle Chen was the final boss?! Then he must be very powerful and was purposely appearing weak!

Gu Chen found Ting Ting’s stupefied expression very refreshing. It was a type of feeling that he hadn’t experienced in a long time.

"So, will you join my organisation? If you do, you won’t have to worry about that scary woman anymore. You will even become stronger than her in the future." Gu Chen stated.

This wasn’t him persuading Ting Ting; he was just saying the truth.

With the bloodline of the ancient humans in her body, she would find it very easy to cultivate in the future and would rapidly become stronger.

Also, that Lightning Gorilla God technique of hers wasn’t that simple either; he had encountered information about it in the past. Although much wasn’t said about it, the technique was higher than a Celestial-grade cultivation technique!

What were Celestial-grade techniques? These were secret inheritances of Immortals, and they would only pass them on to direct descendants.

One couldn’t purchase them even with millions of high-grade spirit stones.

Of course, with the system, Gu Chen only needed a few tens of thousands of MP to get one.

Hearing his words, Ting Ting’s expression brightened, and she nodded her head like a hen pecking rice.

"Yes, I’ll join the organisation!" She shouted.

Immediately after she said this, a notification appeared in front of Gu Chen.

....

(Ding! Villainess Ting Ting has joined the Bloody Rose! Rewards have been sent to the inventory!

Ding! Congratulations on recruiting your second Villainess! The cultivation room has been unlocked!)

.....

A smile appeared on Gu Chen’s face when he saw the notification. Feng Shuran and Ting Ting saw this and thought that he was smiling because Ting Ting had agreed to join the organisation.

Before either of them could say anything, Gu Chen turned to Feng Shuran.

"Go to the Alchemist guild and get a meridian cleansing pill. It must be of the level 5 Earth grade quality at the very least." He instructed.

Slightly stunned, Feng Shuran bowed respectfully before disappearing.

She didn’t use her flying sword and used her Ten Thousand Miles Steps movement technique instead.

Ting Ting was startled by the sect master’s sudden disappearance. A strong gust of wind was created, and she had to shield her face with her hands.

By the time she lowered them, Feng Shuran had long disappeared, and only Gu Chen remained by the lake.

"Uncle Chen," she called out softly, not really knowing what to say.

Gu Chen looked at her and walked over; his left hand slowly rose, and he patted her head.

He had wanted to do this for a while and couldn’t control himself anymore. Luckily, Feng Shuran wasn’t here at the moment.

She would definitely be displeased because Gu Chen never did this to her, even if she wanted him to. He felt like he was committing a crime behind her back.

Was this considered cheating?
