Chapter 41: Core cultivation technique

Feng Shuran returned to Gu Chen’s side, a soft smile on her face as if waiting for him to praise her. On the ground, Quin Xuxu had already started handing out the tokens, and the members of the Bloody Rose sect began leaving for their respective mountain peaks.

Gu Chen smiled back and said that he had a gift for the sect as well.

With a wave of one of his hands, three scrolls appeared in the air and flew over to Feng Shuran. The woman caught the three scrolls and looked at her master with a confused expression.

Gu Chen didn’t wait for her to ask and explain the reason for the scrolls. At the moment, the Bloody Rose sect didn’t have a signature cultivation technique for its members; all the cultivation techniques inside the library belonged to the Dae Qu sect and the other sects that had come to attack the Bloody Rose sect some time ago.

Gu Chen wasn’t against members of the sect practising different cultivation techniques, but every faction had its signature cultivation technique, which was its core.

So, this morning, Gu Chen had purchased an Immortal-grade cultivation technique from the system.

The technique was called the "Night Three Coloured Rose technique." And it cost him 10,000MP.

However, Gu Chen wasn’t disappointed by the technique, as not only would it allow one to train to the Immortal Realms, but it was able to support four different spirit roots!

Namely darkness, fire, water, and earth spirit roots. This meant that anyone with either of these spirit roots would be able to progress easily when training with this technique.

Listening to Gu Chen speak about the cultivation technique and why he had prepared it for the sect, Feng Shuran felt excited and touched.

"Thank you, Master." She said with reverence.

Gu Chen waved his hands lazily. There wasn’t any need to thank him; the Bloody Rose sect belonged to him too, after all.

He couldn’t allow his sect to not have a core cultivation technique.

He then told Feng Shuran that she could hand over the three scrolls to the elders directly to make copies of them or make those by herself. After which those copies would be placed in the library of the sect.

Only the first part would be accessible to the general population of the sect and would be the only part that would be placed in the library.

As for the rest part, they could only get it from the sect after reaching the required Realms for them.

For the second part, one would only get it after breaking through to the Core Formation Realm. The third part would require them to be at the Spirit Transformation Realm to be able to get it.

"I understand, Master." Feng Shuran said, deciding to make copies by herself. She would hand the copy of the first part to Quin Xuxu while keeping the copies of the other parts and the original scrolls to herself.

Gu Chen nodded and stood up, his long black hair flowing like a waterfall behind him as he walked forward with both hands behind his waist.

"I’ll return first," he said calmly, but before he left, he glanced at Shuran and said. "Bring Ting Ting when coming back."

Immediately after saying that, Gu Chen used "Recall" and disappeared from the sitting area.

There wasn’t any qi fluctuation or gust of wind. Shuran was both stunned and confused.

Stunned by her master’s extraordinary methods, this was the second time he had disappeared in front of her, and she still couldn’t tell how. And confused because her master had instructed her to bring Ting Ting back to the solo peak behind the sect.

Feng Shuran knew who Ting Ting was. The image of a young girl with twin red ponytails appeared in her mind. She couldn’t help but wonder why her master wanted to see this new core disciple.

Regardless, Feng Shuran turned and bowed in the direction of the solo peak before flying away.

....

Gu Chen returned to his room inside the courtyard and sat on his bed. He summoned his system and looked at his balance.

.....

The Villainess Management system!

Host: Gu Chen!

Org: Bloody Rose!

Org rank: Gold!

MP: 38,071/100,000

Members: 1

...

Inventory/ Store/ Skills.

....

’Well, it’s not too bad.’ Gu Chen thought to himself as he closed the system page. He didn’t have anything that he wanted to buy urgently, and levelling up the organisation could wait since the amount of MP required wasn’t small.

Instead, what bothered Gu Chen was the conclusion he had reached earlier after discovering Ting Ting.

If he wanted to recruit more villainesses, he couldn’t stay in the safety of his base all day and had to go out!

Gu Chen let out a sigh; he was exhausted.

....

On one of the five peaks of the Bloody Rose sect, a tall girl with long legs and red hair stood in front of a small house. She had arrived here almost an hour after the sect’s official opening ended. She was only a QI Gathering Realm cultivator after all and couldn’t use a flying sword yet, so she had walked all the way.

This girl was Ting Ting. Her large eyes blinked with innocence, and she had crimson pupils just like Feng Shuran.

Ting Ting’s goal was simple. She had managed to become a core disciple of the Bloody Rose sect after escaping, and her sect master was the feared Invisible Killer of the Oghara region.

She was going to train hard and get the sect master to accept her as a personal disciple. Then, Ting Ting would beg the sect master to avenge her and defeat that scary woman who had captured her!

While Ting Ting was letting her imagination run wild, a figure appeared above her and cast a tall shadow over Ting Ting.

This surprised Ting Ting, and she turned around to see who it was.

There, standing on a flying sword in the air, was a beautiful woman with a cold face. Long white hair and crimson eyes like Ting Ting’s.

It was the sect master, Invisible Killer!

Upon realising who it was, Ting Ting was startled and quickly gave a deep bow.

"Disciple greets the sect master!" She shouted.

In the air, Shuran stared at Ting Ting with expressionless eyes.

No matter how she looked, this girl was just an ordinary QI Gathering Realm cultivator, though she was a bit more talented than most, considering how she had easily defeated her opponents during the official opening.

She still couldn’t figure out why her master wanted to see Ting Ting.

’She is definitely not as good-looking as me,’ Feng Shuran said inwardly.

Ting Ting was, after all, still very young and wasn’t fully developed yet. Her body and face couldn’t compare to Shuran’s.

So Shuran wasn’t bothered that her master was interested in Ting Ting.

After several seconds of silence, Feng Shuran drifted towards the ground on her flying sword and stopped in front of Ting Ting.

"Come on," she said softly.

Ting Ting raised her head and looked at the sect master in surprise. Her surprise only lasted for a brief moment as she quickly rushed over and stepped on the flying sword, not daring to make the sect master wait or repeat herself.

After Ting Ting stepped on the flying sword, Feng Shuran controlled it into the air before flying into the distance.

She purposely controlled the speed of the flying sword to slow down for Ting Ting’s sake.

Standing behind the sect master, Ting Ting glanced at the view beneath them with awe in her eyes. The entire territory of the Bloody Rose sect was below them, and it was beautiful.

Ting Ting could see several disciples moving on the mountains, and some of them looked up at the two of them flying past.

This made Ting Ting feel excited; travelling on a flying sword was a new experience for her.

After observing her surroundings for a while, she looked ahead and realised that they were flying towards the gigantic mountain behind the sect.

Ting Ting’s large eyes blinked in surprise. Everyone in the sect knew that this place was a restricted area and only the sect master was allowed to enter; most of the disciples had said that it was the sect master’s personal mountain.

Ting Ting was curious as to what was on this mountain.

They flew in silence and moved closer and closer to the mountain.

After a while, they finally arrived close to the mountain, and Ting Ting could finally make out the footpath along the mountain. But just then.

Deng!

Her body crashed into something sturdy, and she fell off the flying sword while the sect master continued to fly forward.

Ting Ting "!!!"

She was horrified to suddenly find herself falling from a great height; her large eyes widened even more due to fright.

"Sect master, save me!" Ting Ting cried out as she waved her limbs frantically in the air.
