Back at the quarters...

Ethan’s sudden arrival had created a tense atmosphere.

When it came to their kin, demons could accurately sense the power level of their fellow demons, making it easier for them to recognize the strength of those around them.

And Ethan was comparable, or at the very least very close, to the strength of the provincial lords.

That realization was enough to make a good number of the members of House Krygon apprehensive.

Lilinlea, however, went on to answer his question.

But rather than directly telling him where their lord was, she simply said, "He will get what is coming to him."

Ethan’s expression turned into a frown as he spoke in a deep and noticeably less friendly voice. "What do you mean by that?"

But right then, he became aware of and turned his head at the sudden sound coming from some distance not too far away.

The distant noise carried the sounds of fighting, wailing cries, and the screams of demons being cut down, all coming at once.

Ethan’s expression then grew more serious. "Something is happening."

The others with enhanced hearing also picked it up as well, forcing them to turn their attention towards the direction of the incoming demons.

Lilinlea looked toward the direction of the noise before turning back to Ethan and the others.

"Every one of you should leave now," she said. "Or face an even worse fate when they get here."

Ethan’s frown then deepened to the point that it could no longer be hidden.

He stepped closer to Lilinlea, staring at her eyes with so much intensity.

"Where the hell is your lord?" he asked again.

There was something different about his presence now. The tension in his voice and the aura around him made it clear that he was beginning to lose patience, and that he was fully capable of becoming violent if pushed any further.

The surrounding demons of krygon family immediately reacted.

Magic circles began appearing from different directions, while others drew their weapons and prepared themselves.

Ethan’s team responded in kind as well; Hayley and Percival’s amber eyes suddenly began glowing more intensely as their forms partially transformed. White fur spread along the sides of their faces while claws emerged from their hands.

It was a similar reaction for Eduardo, while Wilson’s eyes turned bloodshot; his expression becoming more aggravated.

Pan did not seem bothered, but Bettie, Valerie, and Bernadette also prepared themselves alongside the other casters.

Around Isabella, a dark aura suddenly began gathering.

Then, little Kimora suddenly ran between them, stopping in the middle of the two groups.

More specifically, she had placed herself between Ethan and Lady Lilinlea.

"Please... please don’t fight," she pleaded in a timid, petite voice. "Please."

One of Lord Krygon’s sons yelled at her. "You stupid girl! Get out of there!"

Hayley turned toward him and released an angry growl.

Ethan’s demeanor softened the moment his eyes settled on Kimora’s frightened face.

However, before he could decide what to say next, the demons coming from the distance had already reached their section of the palace.

Several of them climbed over the fences surrounding the area, while those capable of flight began filling the air above them.

More and more demons poured into the palace grounds.

Ethan and his entire team turned toward them, their expressions becoming increasingly urgent as they found themselves surrounded by the advancing forces.

Lilinlea then spoke again to Ethan. "This is the final chance I will give you and your group," she said. "You are no longer welcome here. Leave."

At that moment, Isabella’s other personality took over. Black markings appeared around her eyes, while her lips turned glossy and dark.

She spoke from behind Ethan in her familiar, eerie tone. "I think I know who else to ask..."

Ethan turned to her and gave a nod. And after that, Dark Bella burst into shadows and disappeared from sight.

Ethan then turned back toward Lilinlea. "Making trouble is not our intention, and we will leave once we’ve spoken to your lord." His expression hardened. "But until then, I’m sorry, but we will not leave this place."

At this point, it was becoming obvious that something had happened to Nathan; for one he couldn’t even sense him within the palace.

And Ethan was sure as hell not going to leave until he knew that his father was all right.

Lilinlea stared at him for a moment before. responding. "Have it your way."

She then motioned with her hand.

The demons gathered around them immediately surged forward, joined by several of Lord Krygon’s sons, who charged directly at Ethan’s group.

But Ethan simply raised one hand toward the incoming demons and used his Aspect of Dominion.

Gravity suddenly descended upon the area.

The advancing sons of Lord Krygon were immediately forced down, along with the rest of the family, their bodies becoming trapped under the overwhelming force of Ethan’s gravity.

In truth, none of Lord Krygon’s wives or children could specifically fight against Ethan’s power at this point.

The strongest among them was only a Grade 8 demon. And although that made him comparable to a Second-Tier Grand Class; he was still below Ethan’s power output.

There was, however, an exception to the power of gravity that had been imposed on them all.

That was Kimora who Ethan had deliberately excluded her from its effect.

He went down on one knee in front of her with a little smile while the rest of his team spread out to engage the multitude of demons surrounding them.

Ethan gently took Kimora’s palm in his hand. "Listen. I promise you this. No harm will come to you or your family."

He glanced past her at the others, who were gritting their teeth as they struggled against the crushing gravity.

Then his gaze then returned to Kimora. "But right now, we need to find your lord. Until we do, we won’t be able to leave this place."

His voice softened. "So please, tell me. Do you know where he is? Or where we can find him?"

Kimora slowly shook her head.

Ethan nodded
