Sean threw himself back against the seat and stared at the car ceiling in frustration.

"Then what was the point of messing with the Vein family’s stocks if you can’t even use your brain to find Mom?"

"Why would I use a photo of Hana? Do you even know that your mother hates having her picture taken?" Dion retorted. "Haven’t I been searching for Hana using my instincts all this time? I only have a few photos of her that I took secretly. Do you think I should hand them over to someone else?"

Sean stared at Dion for several moments until the man finally fell silent.

"Give me your phone," Sean said, snatching Dion’s phone away.

He typed a few words, then sent a message to Dion’s subordinate who was currently infiltrating Brandon’s residence.

Not long afterward, a report arrived on his phone.

Dion immediately snatched his phone back, read the report, and gave a mocking smile.

He quickly called his secretary.

"Arrange for some people to go to Hana’s parents’ cemetery immediately. Keep an eye on Brandon’s men for me. I’ll go there and save Hana with my own hands."

His secretary, who was on the other end of the line, immediately nodded.

"Yes, sir."

Sean, sitting beside Dion, said nothing. He leaned back against his seat again and continued enjoying the snacks beside him.

"Drive faster," Dion ordered, his expression turning stern once more.

"Yes, sir," the driver replied.

Dion glanced at Sean, who no longer cared about his business at all and was busy enjoying his snacks.

He let out a harsh sigh. He always seemed to lose his common sense whenever Hana was involved. However, that didn’t mean he was stupid enough to make such a mistake.

Dion’s fingers moved quickly across his phone screen before he opened a hidden folder protected by five layers of encrypted security.

Inside were three photos of Hana Klein.

All of them had been taken secretly by Dion. One showed Hana crying, another showed her working at his company, and the last had been taken when Hana was in her bed for the first time.

Wasn’t it obvious why he, Dion Sexa, had never shared those photos with his subordinates?

Meanwhile, at Hana’s parents’ cemetery, the woman finally stood up after spending an entire hour in the same position.

She wiped her swollen eyes from crying, then smiled faintly at the two tombstones in front of her.

"Mom, I really did break your rule. I have three sons with someone whose identity I don’t even know."

Hana took a quiet breath before speaking again.

"Mom, please don’t blame me. I honestly don’t remember ever doing something so embarrassing. But, Mom... my children are really handsome. They’re so handsome. You would definitely love them if you could meet them."

A faint smile appeared on Hana’s lips as she pictured her three sons.

She took a deep breath before continuing, "I’ll bring them here to meet you soon. I’m sure they’d be happy to meet both of you, too."

After a while, the smile on Hana’s face slowly faded.

"But Brandon is keeping me here. He’s really different from how he used to be. He won’t let me take the children with me, and he’s even keeping me here. I really can’t fight him."

Hana lowered her head for a moment before looking at the two tombstones again.

"So, Dad, Mom... please be patient a little longer. I’ll definitely bring my three children to see you as soon as I get the chance."

After saying those words, Hana turned around and walked toward the cemetery exit.

Her gaze immediately fell on the two of Brandon’s subordinates standing guard near the entrance. Brandon had absolutely no intention of giving her the time or opportunity to escape.

"Ma’am," one of Brandon’s subordinates greeted her as Hana approached the car.

He opened the door for her before continuing, "Sir has arranged dinner at the residence. He wants to have dinner with you tonight."

Hana said nothing. As soon as the door was opened, she got into the car and sat obediently.

"Could you take me somewhere with a restroom?" she asked cautiously as the car began to leave the cemetery.

The driver glanced at Hana through the rearview mirror, then smiled faintly.

"Ma’am, stop thinking about escaping our watch. Sir has warned us not to let you go anywhere alone, not even to the restroom. Please be patient. We’ll be back at the residence soon."

Hana bit her lip when she realized that the subordinate had seen through her intentions.

This was probably the only chance she would get to escape from Brandon. If she didn’t try now, it would become even harder for her to get away from him.

Hana couldn’t accept this situation. Her three children were still waiting for her at home.

"Um... in that case," Hana said more cautiously, "could you take me to a convenience store? I want to buy some painkillers for my stomach. I won’t run away. You can follow me if you’re still worried."

Brandon’s subordinate frowned, especially when he noticed how pale Hana looked.

"I’ll contact Sir first. We can’t—"

"Wait," Hana interrupted quickly. "Please don’t tell Brandon. I’m on my period. Brandon... he mustn’t know that I still suffer from menstrual pain so often. I don’t want to make him worry."

The excuse sounded awkward and was clearly difficult to believe.

The subordinate sitting beside Hana turned to glance at her.

"Ma’am, what medicine do you usually take? I’ll buy it for you."

Hana looked at the two men in turn. Her fingers clenched tightly together before she finally named the brand of medicine she used to take.

Not long afterward, their car stopped at a convenience store by the roadside.

The store was fairly crowded with customers. As soon as the car stopped, one of Brandon’s subordinates got out and hurried inside to buy the medicine.

Meanwhile, the remaining subordinate in the car ignored Hana and began playing with his phone.

Hana glanced at the man, then took a deep breath as she surveyed her surroundings.

She had to escape. Today, no matter what.

Seeing that the situation was becoming more favorable, Hana glanced again at Brandon’s subordinate, who was still busy with his phone.

She waited for a moment, before slowly opening the unlocked car door.

Click.

Hana crouched behind the car door, then quickly slipped out and crept toward the crowd around her.

She had no idea what area she was in. But one thing was certain, she had to avoid Brandon’s men if she wanted to return to Karua City.

Thinking of her three sons, who might be waiting for her, made Hana even more desperate to leave.

She had to go home.

Inside the car, the driver glanced at the door that had closed again with a mocking look. He took out another phone and sent a message.

We’ve let Miss Hana escape. She should be sneaking through the crowd right now.

Ding!

The message was successfully sent.

After making sure it had gone through, Brandon’s subordinate removed the SIM card from his phone, snapped it in half, and threw both pieces onto the road.
