My Three Babies Have Different Fathers
Chapter 65: Don’t cry anymore, okay?
Sean stared at the computer screen at the end of the table, entering several codes with a wide smile. In an instant, the screen displayed his secret savings account.
With nimble movements, he transferred all the funds he had earned into that account. Seeing Dion watching the screen as well, he quickly added facial and eye verification.
Dion Sexa snorted. "Do you think that much money would catch my attention?" he asked, shaking his head.
Sean shrugged. "No one knows what will happen tomorrow morning. Who knows? You might suddenly need it."
Dion snorted but didn’t respond. "What about the people I planted inside Brandon’s residence? Any progress? Prepare a car. I’m going there soon," he ordered.
"There’s been no news yet, sir. However, I’ll contact them immediately," his secretary replied from behind him.
Dion waved his hand and turned his attention back to the computer screen in front of him.
The Vein family’s stock chart continued to plummet. Releasing twenty percent of their shares to the public all at once was certainly enough to shake their position in the stock market.
Meanwhile, in front of her parents’ graves, Hana sat with her head bowed, exhausted, beside Brandon.
"Uncle, Aunt, I’ve brought Hana back. I’ve finally managed to find her. I’m sorry I haven’t taken good care of her all this time. Please allow me to make up for my mistakes in the future. I promise I’ll take good care of her. I’ll also avenge both of you. I promise."
Brandon bowed respectfully toward the two graves.
Hana knelt there, her lips trembling as tears continued streaming down her cheeks. "Dad, Mom... forgive me. I’m sorry I couldn’t do anything all this time." She gently cleaned her parents’ gravestones, her long hair covering part of her tear-streaked face.
Seeing Hana in such a state, Brandon gritted his teeth and clenched his fists tightly. He knelt beside her and held her trembling shoulders.
"Don’t cry anymore, okay? Uncle and Aunt would be sad if they saw you like this."
Hana shook her head, not knowing what to do. She gently pushed Brandon’s hand away and continued cleaning the gravestone with care.
Brandon let out a rough breath. Seeing Hana so desperate made him feel helpless, a feeling he was unaccustomed to experiencing.
"Young Master," one of his subordinates called as he approached.
Brandon raised an eyebrow and looked at the man, a frown forming on his forehead.
His subordinate lowered his head before whispering something near his ear. His voice was so quiet that only Brandon and he could hear it.
The longer Brandon listened, the deeper the frown on his forehead became.
He immediately stood up and looked at his subordinate, his face darkening with anger.
"What did you say? Didn’t—"
Brandon’s voice stopped when he realized Hana was still beside him and had now turned to look at him.
Brandon waved his hand, signaling his subordinate to step back immediately. He lowered his head and turned his attention back to Hana, his expression softening with caution.
"I have to return to the company. There’s a small problem there. I’ll leave some of my subordinates here to look after you."
Brandon glanced at the graves of Hana’s parents before looking at her again.
"Talk to them a little longer. I know you need some time alone. Don’t rush yourself. Once you’re done, you have to go home. Understand?"
Hana held his gaze for a few moments before finally nodding.
Brandon smiled in satisfaction and gently stroked Hana’s head. He bowed once more in front of her parents’ graves.
"Uncle, Aunt, I have to leave for now."
He turned and walked away after giving instructions to the guards.
Inside the car, his phone kept ringing as soon as he turned off silent mode. His father’s furious voice came through loudly from the other end.
"Brandon! Have you lost your mind? You’re leaving the company while it’s still in critical condition just to accompany that poor woman?"
Brandon gripped his phone tightly. "Watch your mouth," he said in a low voice. "I’ll be back at the company in twenty minutes."
"Drive faster," Brandon ordered.
The driver in front nodded and pressed the accelerator harder.
Twenty minutes later, the car finally arrived at the tallest building in the eastern region of the Melvin Continent. It was the center of business operations and power in the region.
Brandon hurried out of the car and strode toward the room on the building’s highest floor.
His secretary, who had been waiting outside the door, looked pale. A clear slap mark was visible on one side of his face.
Brandon only glanced at him briefly before accepting the tablet he held out.
"When did the stock market start moving?" he asked without slowing his pace as he headed toward his private elevator.
"About forty minutes ago, sir. A hacker sabotaged the Supervisory Board’s stock market monitoring system."
Brandon opened the tab containing the report and continued examining it.
The people along his path immediately moved aside to make room for him.
"Have you asked the Supervisory Board to investigate who did it?" Brandon asked as soon as he entered his private elevator.
"Yes, sir," his secretary replied. "The Supervisory Board has sent people to investigate further. They’ve also sent a representative to our company. That person is currently in the president’s office, speaking with the board members."
The frown on Brandon’s forehead deepened as he read all the reports on his tablet.
"Has Shad gotten any results?"
"Yes, sir. He also asked us to send more people to Karua City."
"What about my father? Has he taken action too?"
"Yes. He has sent his people to search the eastern region of the Melvin Continent after learning that all the shares released to the public had been purchased by a single person."
"Have they found anything?" Brandon asked.
"Not yet, sir," his secretary replied, his voice growing even lower.
Ding!
The elevator finally arrived at the building’s highest floor.
Without saying anything, Brandon immediately headed toward his father’s office. His secretary followed behind him, looking increasingly pale.
As soon as he entered the room, Brandon briefly bowed his head to the members of the Supervisory Board and the board of directors before quickly taking the seat beside his father.
His father gave him a sharp look, then pushed a stack of documents toward him.
"Make a decision now. The members of the Supervisory Board and the board of directors are leaving the final decision to you."
