My Taming System Makes Me Overpowered

Chapter 243: The heart of the prime ancestors

  • Next Chapter

The black void-lightning crackling off the Void-Ritter’s battleaxe tore through the ancient white-marble courtyard, shattering centuries-old pillars into jagged fragments. The air tasted of ozone and ancient death, thick with the stagnant pressure of a six-thousand-year-old curse.

"Lyrielle, Vetra," Vince’s voice echoed through the roaring storm, smooth and quiet, yet carrying the undeniable weight of an absolute decree. "Clear the court."

"With pleasure!" Vetra roared, dropping into a low, explosive stance.

The dragon-kin princess kicked off the marble floor with enough force to crater the stone beneath her boots. She rose like a blazing crimson comet, her massive broadsword engulfed in a pillar of high-density dragon-fire that cut through the black void-lightning like a hot blade through silk.

The twenty-foot Void-Ritter brought its double-headed battleaxe down in a crushing vertical arc to intercept her.

BOOOOOOM—!

The collision generated a violent shockwave that blasted the surrounding stone dust away in every direction. Vetra’s boots skidded backward across the cracked marble, her muscles bulging as her silver scales glowed with blinding heat, but she held her ground against the giant’s sheer mass, a wild, sharp grin spreading across her face.

"He’s heavy, little princess!" Vetra shouted over her shoulder, her voice echoing off the ruined walls. "Strike his joints!"

"Already on it!" Lyrielle called back.

The elven princess dropped to one knee, her posture flawless. She drew her elder-wood bowstring back to her ear, channeling the deep, golden domain light Vince had anchored inside her soul. Three shimmering golden arrows formed simultaneously across the wood, vibrating with a high-pitched, harmonic hum.

TWANG—! TWANG—! TWANG—!

The arrows streaked through the black lightning with terrifying precision. The first struck the corrupted champion behind its left knee; the second pierced the weak seam beneath its armored elbow; the third detonated directly inside its rusted visor.

SCREEEEEECH—!

The Void-Ritter let out a hollow, agonizing roar as the golden domain light ignited the corrupted void-mana inside its ancient armor. The giant stumbled backward, its left leg buckling as it lost its balance on the grand staircase.

"Now, Vetra!" Lyrielle shouted, already nocking another golden arrow.

Vetra didn’t hesitate. She surged forward, her broadsword spinning in a brilliant, fiery circle before she delivered a brutal, upward rising strike that sheared cleanly through the corrupted giant’s right arm, sending the massive battleaxe clattering uselessly down the marble steps.

The Void-Ritter thrashed wildly, its remaining hand reaching out toward the central court where the glowing World-Heart rested. Its dark, hollow eyes flickered with a brief, tragic moment of ancient, lingering lucidity—a dying memory of the honor it had once held as a champion of the Prime Elven Court.

Vince stepped up the grand staircase with unhurried, measured strides. His dark coat settled smoothly over his shoulders, his hands resting casually in his pockets as he paused beside the kneeling, armless giant.

"Your watch is over," Vince said softly.

He raised his right hand, placing his palm flat against the center of the champion’s rusted chestplate.

"Inward Absolute Domain: Reversion."

SCHWWWWING—!

A soft, golden ripple washed over the giant’s twenty-foot frame. The black void-corruption, the black lightning, and the stagnant decay that had bound its spirit for six millennia evaporated instantly. The giant’s massive armor turned into fine silver dust, revealing a fading, peaceful spirit-form that bowed its head deeply to Vince in silent, profound gratitude before dissolving into the air like gentle starlight.

Lyrielle let out a long, quiet exhale, lowering her bow as she stepped up the stairs to Vince’s side. She looked at the spot where the ancient champion had stood, a soft, respectful warmth in her violet eyes.

"He can rest now," Lyrielle whispered softly.

"Indeed," Vince replied, his hand reaching out to wrap firmly around her waist, pulling her close against his side as they reached the top of the grand staircase. "And now, your legacy is reclaimed."

At the highest terrace of the ruined citadel stood the World-Heart.

It was a breathtaking, divine anomaly. A colossal, orb-like seed carved from living silver-wood, ten feet in diameter, hovering in the center of a shallow pool of pure, liquid-mana spring water. The core hummed with an intoxicating, ancient pulse that vibrated straight into the ley-lines of the surrounding continent.

The moment Vince, Lyrielle, Vetra, Barnaby, and Elena stepped onto the terrace, the silver-wood seed reacted to Lyrielle’s royal elven blood and Vince’s absolute domain presence.

The surface of the seed split open like a blooming lotus, revealing a central core of blinding, concentrated liquid-gold cosmic essence—the absolute ley-node of the entire Null Expanse.

Barnaby, supported gently by Elena’s arm, let out a sharp, breathless gasp. Her golden eyes flared with a desperate, radiant light, her chest heaving as her physical form trembled from the sheer proximity of the final cosmic fragment.

"Vince..." Barnaby breathed, her voice raspy and broken with intense desire. "That’s... that’s it. That is the final piece."

Vince smirked, stepping forward to stand at the edge of the liquid-mana pool. He reached out with his left hand, tapping into his Inward Absolute Domain to draw the concentrated liquid-gold essence straight out of the World-Heart’s core.

A brilliant, pulsing stream of golden cosmic light rose into the air, swirling into a brilliant vortex above the terrace.

"Barnaby," Vince rumbled, his voice echoing with absolute authority. "Take the final step."

Barnaby broke away from Elena, floating toward Vince with trembling, open arms. She didn’t just reach for the energy—she threw herself completely against Vince’s body, her soft curves pressing flush to his broad chest, her arms locking desperately around his neck as she buried her face into his collarbone.

Vince caught her easily, his hand gripping her waist tightly as he directed the entire stream of liquid cosmic light straight into her chest.

BOOOOOOOOOOM—!

A silent, ethereal explosion of pure golden light erupted from the terrace, engulfing both of them in a towering pillar of celestial energy that pierced through the void-clouds high above.

Deep within Vince’s personal space, inside the sealed pocket dimension, the Lotus Core underwent its final, majestic ascension.

The final percentage unlocked.

PING—!

[Lotus Core Capacity: 100%]

The pale, silver-gold bloom opened completely, revealing its radiant, star-like center. The entire lotus blossomed into full, glorious maturity, releasing a wave of boundless, ancient vitality that flooded through their shared soul-tether.

Barnaby screamed—a raw, exquisite, long-drawn moan of pure, unadulterated ecstasy that echoed across the entire continent. Her back arched violently, her feet kicking in mid-air as her spirit-core fused permanently with Vince’s domain. A blinding, golden mark shaped like a fully bloomed lotus flared to life right over her heart, glowing through the sheer fabric of her gown like a burning star.

Behind them, Lyrielle, Vetra, and Elena watched in awed silence as the pillar of light slowly settled.

Barnaby hung in Vince’s arms, her breathing heavy, shallow, and utterly wrecked. Her golden eyes opened slowly, glowing with a deep, permanent, celestial radiance that transcended her former spirit status. She looked up into Vince’s dark amethyst eyes, her pale lips curving into a slow, breathless, completely devoted smile.

"It’s full..." Barnaby whimpered softly, resting her forehead against his chest as she felt the absolute, boundless power humming inside her. "The lotus is complete, Vince... I am yours, entirely and eternally."

"I know," Vince murmured, leaning down to press a deep, slow, claiming kiss against her lips that made her entire body shudder in his arms before he set her feet gently onto the ground.

With the Lotus Core fully bloomed and the World-Heart’s core harvested, the surrounding silver-wood tree began to pulse with fresh, vibrant green life. The ruined white-marble citadel began to repair itself, roots weaving through the stone to stabilize the entire floating continent within Vince’s domain.

Lyrielle stepped up to the edge of the liquid-mana pool, extending her hands toward the humming World-Heart.

The moment her fingers touched the silver wood, a glowing golden tether snapped into place, connecting the Lost Sovereign-Tree straight to the First Canopy miles away across the boundary. High above, the amethyst sky pulsed brightly as the ancient elven ley-lines reconnected, doubling the mana output of her homeland in a single second.

Lyrielle turned to Vince, her violet eyes swimming with tears of profound joy and fierce pride. She stepped forward, throwing her arms around his neck and kissing him deeply, passionately, before leaning her head against his chest.

"Thank you, Vince " Lyrielle whispered from the bottom of her heart. "Our people have their true home back."

Vince held her close, his hand resting on the back of her head while his dark amethyst gaze looked out over the stabilized, conquered continent of the Null Expanse.

Beside him stood Elena, her tactical mirrors reporting absolute stabilization across all sectors. Vetra was leaning on her broadsword with a satisfied grin. Barnaby leaned comfortably against his shoulder, radiating full, divine warmth. And Lyrielle held him like her anchor.

Phase Two of the Uncharted Bounds was complete. The wild void had been subdued, the lotus was fully blossomed, and the elven heritage was restored under his absolute rule.

A dark, unyielding smirk touched Vince’s lips as he looked out into the infinite darkness beyond.

"Now," Vince said smoothly, his voice echoing into the cosmic quiet. "Let’s see how much further this world goes."
