Chapter 1053 - 1056: Simple and Direct

Melody Thorne blushed slightly behind her ears, and lifted her small foot to kick Jared Quinn’s leg, venting her little temper.

Jared Quinn glanced down at her calf with his dark, deep eyes. Men’s desires are always the strongest in the morning. Those two times just now didn’t really satisfy him; they were just a little appetizer. She still had the energy to kick him, so she clearly wasn’t tired!

"Madam, come down quickly for breakfast," the butler spoke up, genuinely worried Melody Thorne might get hungry. Their young master really didn’t know how to pace himself!

Melody Thorne moved over, drank a glass of milk first, and began devouring her food. She was truly starving!

"Leon Rivers, did you deal with that thing yesterday?" Melody Thorne still had it on her mind.

Leon Rivers’s mouth twitched, "Sister-in-law, you do know what kind of drug that Shan Han got hit with, right? You asked me to handle it; how do you think I could manage that?"

"How did you handle it?"

Leon Rivers "..."

He rubbed his nose, "I handed it over to Dr. Mo, and Dr. Mo pushed her into the bathroom, and she came out fine by herself!"

Melody Thorne frowned. That method was way too straightforward and blunt!

"As long as she’s okay!"

"Madam, the Seymour Family said they sent someone over. They’ll arrive soon. They said it’s something you requested?" the butler spoke up.

"Did my dad already send them over?" Melody Thorne spoke excitedly, "Have them send the person to the Quinn Family; I’ll take him to exchange with Old Night later!"

No sooner had she said this than a pair of large hands wrapped around her waist, pulling her into an embrace, a cool voice saying, "Did you forget what you promised me this morning?"

Melody Thorne "...Can I accompany you to the company tomorrow? I swear I’ll definitely go tomorrow."

"Leave the exchange with Old Night to Leon Rivers. The custom-made skins will be delivered to you in a week," Jared Quinn said.

Melody Thorne "...Alright"

"You’ll get to see something interesting when you go," Jared Quinn’s fingertip brushed over her delicate little nose.

"Really?"

Melody Thorne sat in Jared Quinn’s office, flipping through the latest issue of a magazine, waiting for the interesting thing Jared Quinn mentioned.

"When are you going to show me?"

Melody Thorne swung around in the leather chair beneath her, her pair of snow-white little feet resting on the edge of Jared Quinn’s desk, restlessly.

With her antics, Jared Quinn was in a good mood, pulling off his tie, unbuttoning two buttons on his shirt. His large hands tapped the keyboard a couple of times, and two videos came over.

Melody Thorne watched with curiosity and discovered that the man in the video was Senator Gu. He sat there waiting for someone, with red wine, roses, and a gift box laid out on the long table in front of him.

Minutes later, a woman walked in. Melody Thorne recognized her as the woman who previously had an affair with Senator Gu.

The video played sound.

Senator Gu stepped forward to hug the woman who didn’t look well, "What’s wrong, baby? Didn’t I already issue a statement about what happened that day? Someone impersonated me and touched that woman. I’m innocent, and you must believe me now. Once I catch that person, I can prove I am wholly devoted to you!"

"You’re wholly devoted to me? Do you love me that much?" The woman’s expression eased a lot.

"I do, absolutely," Senator Gu half-hugged her as they sat down, pushing the gift in front of her, "Open it and see if you like it? I had it custom-made overseas."
