Chapter 264: Moonclaw’s transformation

  • Next Chapter

After that, Moonclaw raised its head. Under everyone’s stunned eyes, its body began shrinking rapidly until it became the size of a human. Its body then started taking on a humanoid shape.

Moonclaw was still as tall as Drago and the members of the Hybrid Squad. His body was muscular, resembling that of a Wolfkin, with sharp ears and fangs.

Even Nova was surprised to see this. Moonclaw could now change forms like Drago. Did that mean he was on the same level as dragons? Although a Deadborn didn’t have a specific species, it only possessed the powers it had before dying.

"Is this your new humanoid form?" Nova asked Moonclaw.

"Yes, my Lord... After becoming an Emperor, I can now transform into my humanoid form and fight in this form as well," Moonclaw replied.

"Hmm, that’s amazing!" Nova said.

All the women agreed with Nova. Although Nyxara was used to it by now, seeing so many Emperor-level powerhouses gathered in one place was still surprising.

Looking at it from a different perspective, having a single person possessing this much power was a huge threat. Nova himself was already the biggest threat, and his ever-growing legion was definitely going to create chaos in the world.

She couldn’t wait to see her husband shine even more. But for that to happen, she needed to grow stronger as well, and with the System Space, she would be able to do so in less time.

The same thoughts were going through Rieka’s and Asia’s heads. They also wanted to grow stronger. Seeing Nova’s Deadborns, they didn’t want to be left behind.

Nova understood all of this, and he would soon do something about it.

For now, he turned toward the rest of his Deadborns. Among them were Drago, Voidwing, Alpha, Gamma, Lich, Chimera, Lava Troll King, Yeti, and Goblin Titan Boss.

Leaving Drago, Voidwing, and Moonclaw aside, Nova said, "You all will become a squad, and you will be called the X Squad. I’ll soon take you all out for a hunt so that you can become Emperors as well."

"Yes, my Lord," they all said in unison.

Then he turned toward Voidwing and Drago.

"You two are independent for now."

"Yes, my Lord."

Nova then turned toward Moonclaw and said, "I’ll be appointing you as the commander of the X Squad for now. You will command them when I’m busy fighting enemies and I’m not around."

"It will be my honor, my Lord," Moonclaw said with a slight bow.

Drago felt a little irritated seeing Moonclaw becoming the commander, but then he realized that his Lord was going to create more squads. He still had a chance to become a commander, especially since he was independent for now.

With that, Nova finished all the important things he needed to do. He had arranged his Deadborns, and now he had many Emperor-level powerhouses by his side, including one Level 4 Emperor.

Leaving that aside, he didn’t attempt the Gacha for now, as he was going to the Royal palace tomorrow. After that, before going to the Imperial Kingdom, he would try the Gacha.

Hopefully, he would get some good skills, or at least a few good treasures. Though he didn’t know if his bad luck had ended or not, he realized that he had completed the SSS-rank quest, so his bad luck should have at least reduced, even if it hadn’t ended completely.

With all this in mind, all the Deadborns disappeared.

Nova sent Hybrid One and Moonclaw to see what was happening in the different kingdoms and to find out if they could discover anything about the Eclipse Order.

He also needed to find out how Bai Chen was doing and bring him back from the Twilight Order. If Nova helped him, he could become a strong ally, as the shorty was a kind man.

With that, he left the System Space with all the women. It was still nighttime, with only a few hours left before morning.

Seeing everyone come out, Velena appeared in front of them. She had been waiting for them to come out.

They then began spending the remaining time chatting in Nova’s room, not wanting to disturb anyone’s sleep.

While Nova was relaxing with his wives, something different was happening in the Imperial Kingdom of the Human Continent, Kaelor.

....

Valedyrn, Human Continent...

Valedyrn was the largest kingdom in Kaelor and the main territory from which the Human Emperor ruled the entire continent.

It was enormous, larger than the other three kingdom. At the center of Valedyrn stood a magnificent city known as Everhart City, which was also referred to as the Imperial City.

The Imperial Palace stood at the heart of the city, alongside the largest temple of the Light temple Order.

The palace itself was enormous, with grand white walls decorated with intricate golden patterns. Massive pillars supported the towering structure, each carved with detailed designs that reflected the glory and authority of the Everhart Family.

At the center of the palace’s main crest was the symbol of the Everhart Family—the Golden Heart, shining brilliantly against the white walls.

The palace radiated an atmosphere of majesty and authority. It was not merely a residence for the Imperial Family but a symbol of the Human Continent’s power.

Many Emperor-level powerhouses and Peak King Realm experts stood guard at every corner of the palace, silently protecting the Imperial Family.

Their presence alone was enough to make anyone who approached the palace feel an immense pressure.

Somewhere inside the palace, in a large and spacious room, a woman stood beside the window.

The cold night breeze passed through the slightly opened window, gently brushing against her face and making her feel refreshed.

Her silky, long blonde hair shimmered with a golden glow beneath the moonlight, while she wore a simple yellow gown that fell gracefully around her mature figure.

Her body looked voluptuous from behind. She wasn’t wearing her usual nun’s habit, and the thin gown clung to every sinful curve — a wide, plump ass, thick thighs, and a pair of large breasts on the same level as Nyxara’s, enough to make any man drool from a single glance.

But she was no ordinary woman. She was the High Priestess of the Light Temple Order, and more than that, the granddaughter of the human emperor Calean Everhart himself: Princess Maria Everheart.

She was lost in deep thought about what had happened today. She had been captured by that traitor, Darius, and then lost consciousness after being dragged into the clash between the auras of powerful beings.

That was the last thing she remembered.

When she finally opened her eyes, she found herself back in this room—the room she hadn’t returned to in the last twenty years.

Suddenly, she heard the door to her room opening.

A familiar woman entered. She looked similar to her, with long blonde hair, a voluptuous and curvy figure, and a beautiful face. However, her breasts were not as large as Maira’s.

"Mother," Maira muttered as she instantly recognized the woman. She was Alara Everhart, the daughter-in-law of the Human Emperor and Maira’s mother.

Maira’s father was dead, but she didn’t know how he had died.

Some said he had been killed by demons, while others claimed he had died inside the Secret Realm.

Even her own mother said she didn’t know, as she was unaware of how her husband had died. For some reason, she never really seemed to care about it.

Maira hated her for that. She didn’t like the woman who was supposed to be her mother, as she felt that Alara wasn’t as graceful as the others talked about her.

"My daughter, you’re awake... Are you feeling better now?" Alara asked as she approached Maira and placed her hands on her cheeks.

"Look how pale you’ve become... I was against this from the start, and you insisted on leaving the palace."

Maira removed Alara’s hands from her face. Her expression remained emotionless as she said, "It was my choice. And look at me now. I’ve awakened a bloodline that no one in the entire family has."

"I know, my daughter. I know. I heard about it... and I’m really proud of you," Alara said, clearly happy to see that her daughter had grown this strong.

"After all, you are the granddaughter of the Human Emperor, Caelan, himself," Alara added.
