My SSS-Rank Innate skill: Infinite Adaptation core
Chapter 262: New knowledge
And he had succeeded in that attempt.
However, he was still yet to use his authority-related skills against his real enemies, though he had used them multiple times during training.
With that, Nova went further down his status window. His Innate Skills were next, with his second Innate Skill, Judgement Flash, having leveled up and become an S+ Rank skill.
He reached his Active Skills and looked through them carefully. After seeing all his Active Skills, Nova decided to fuse two skills, Void Steps and Void Veil, as he had a feeling they would become one even more powerful skill.
That was the magic of Fusion Skill.
He then went further down to his Passive Skills and saw two more skills that he could fuse to create a better one: Vitality Core and Instant Regeneration.
Although his Physique already had its own regenerative ability, which was on par with that of Demon Lords and Elder Dragons, Nova thought that if he were ever inflicted with a very powerful wound, this skill would be able to help him.
Not to mention, it would also increase the rank of Vitality Core, which was only A Rank, while Instant Regeneration was A+ Rank. So, he had a feeling he would get at least an S+ Rank skill from the fusion.
Liya also supported his thoughts.
{Yeah... you’re right to think that, and it’s a good idea.}
"I’ve had this thought in my mind for a long time after getting Instant Regeneration, but with all these back-to-back problems, it slipped my mind. Even though I’m very calm because of my Instinct Dominion skill."
{Don’t make things up. Just say that you forgot to do it. Hehehe.}
Liya teased Nova. Nova rubbed the back of his head as Liya caught his lie, of course. She could read his mind, after all. Nova had thought she would let it go, but she didn’t. She had really become naughty.
Nova playfully squeezed her ass, causing Liya to react.
{Ahhh~ Don’t hurt me~}
"You better respect your husband..." Nova said playfully as he squeezed it more .
{Ahh~}
{Stop teasing me... I’m still sensitive there. Haha, alright, alright, I’ll not do it again.}
Liya said that, and Nova was satisfied with the little punishment. He turned his attention back to the skills and began the Fusion Skill.
Some time later, the first fusion was completed, giving Nova a new skill.

[Void Phantom]
[Rank: S+]
Description:
[A powerful Void-type skill that allows the user to cloak their entire presence while momentarily slipping between the boundaries of reality. The user cannot literally enter the Void, as doing so would require a much deeper understanding and mastery of Void Laws.]
[Instead, the skill creates the illusion of the user disappearing into the Void, allowing them to vanish from sight and reappear at a chosen location within a limited range. Their presence becomes extremely difficult to detect, making the skill ideal for evasion, repositioning, and launching surprise attacks.]
[However, powerful spatial disturbances or opponents with superior perception can still detect the user’s presence, while repeated use rapidly consumes energy.]

Nova read the description of the skill. It sounded similar to the movement he made when he entered the System Space and exited from another location, though this skill could create spatial fluctuations that could be detected by higher-level opponents.
But this skill also provided concealed movement, which could be highly useful in close-combat fights. With this, Nova had gained another amazing skill.
But there was still one thing he didn’t understand.
{I was going to tell you this. It’s a good time...}
{The elements like Space, Void, Gravity, Chaos, and all other elements are Affinities, yes, but they are also Laws. Like I said in the beginning, and you experienced it when you first gained Affinities like Chaos, Fire, and Ice.}
{You fought Demonic Beasts that continuously attacked with those Affinities. You got hurt, but your body adapted because of your innate skill, Infinite Adaptation Core.}
{And you gained those Affinities because you gained an understanding of them. You understood their principles, as they are natural Laws. That’s why when a being understands those Laws, they can literally create Fire, Ice, and other elements in their hands.}
{A normal being, or even a being who doesn’t have an understanding of a particular element, can’t possibly create them in their hands.}
{And we call that person someone who doesn’t have an Affinity. In the same way, people who awaken an Affinity for any element gain an understanding of that particular element. They understand its Law, which is why they can use it.}
{Those who awaken with more than one element have an understanding of more than one Law. They are considered geniuses—or, to be exact, extremely lucky if you look at it from this point of view.}
{So, my point here is that when a being reaches a high realm, they automatically begin to understand this fact. A Sovereign understands this, and they attempt to master elements they don’t have because their bodies become extremely strong at that point.}
{Any level of harsh conditions becomes bearable for them if it allows them to gain even a little understanding and awaken a new Affinity.}
Nova understood what Liya meant, but then he realized something. Wouldn’t that make his Elemental Lord Authority useless?
{No, darling, not exactly. One’s understanding can be limited to only one element, or if they’re a genius, perhaps two.}
{So they attempt to learn the strongest Laws, like Space, Void, Gravity... From what I can see, only a few Sovereigns in this world have realized this fact and are already working on it.}
{But with your Elemental Lord Authority, which is almost the biggest cheat, along with your Infinite Adaptation Core, you can learn every Law there is to learn in this universe. Now say that your Authority is useless. Hehehehe.}
Liya laughed, and Nova’s eyes widened after hearing this.
What the fuck? Wouldn’t that mean he had a really huge advantage?
{Of course, my husband. Not only on a world level, but I would say on a universal level. But it also depends on whether this world can provide you with a suitable environment harsh enough for you to learn the Laws—or, for now, let’s simply call them the elements you want to learn about.}
"Hmm... you’re right," Nova said as he understood that Liya’s words made sense. But he had still yet to see the entire world, and who knew? If he got lucky, he might be able to learn a new Law.
As he thought about it, he realized it would be better to learn Laws like Void and Gravity first. He already had a great understanding of Space, so learning Void and Gravity would greatly boost his strength.
He could even implement them into his skills, like what was mentioned in the description of his new skill, Void Phantom.
With that, he had gained some new and very important knowledge—knowledge that even many Sovereigns in this world didn’t know. He was happy about it and focused on his skills again.
He started the second fusion.
After some time, the second fusion was also completed, and Nova obtained a new and improved passive skill.

[Vitality Nexus]
[Rank: S+]
Description:
[A powerful passive skill that perfectly synchronizes the user’s vitality and mana, greatly enhancing their natural recovery. Stamina and mana continuously regenerate at an accelerated rate, while the recovery of one resource slightly boosts the regeneration of the other.
The skill grants extraordinary regeneration, allowing the user to rapidly heal severe injuries and instantly regenerate lost body parts. During prolonged combat, continuous activity further enhances the recovery rate, allowing the user to maintain peak physical condition and mana reserves for extended periods.]
