Chapter 254: After the Evolution

Even though they wouldn’t be able to find any connection between him and the Slaughter Monarch, there was still one person who knew about it—Aurora. He needed to meet her.

Though he knew she was neutral because of what Nyxara had told him and her actions during the incident, he transformed into his colossal dragon form.

After Liya’s kiss was over, Nova exchanged a few words with Velena before leaving the training space.

After leaving the training space in a new set of clothes, Nova went to look for his parents. It had been a really long time since he had last seen them, and he knew his mother was expecting a few explanations.

Nova used his senses to locate his parents, spreading them throughout the capital. His natural senses had already become tremendously stronger.

It was already night, yet the capital was still busy because of the attack. Nova could see everything around him, but he focused on finding his parents. He could see Jenna was in her room, reading a book.

His father, on the other hand, was in the market area. Fortunately, Nova had already made sure Drago and Void Wing stayed with his mother and father in case of any danger while he was in his evolution phase, so he wasn’t worried about them.

He made his way towards Jenna’s room. As Nova walked through the large corridor, the maids noticed him. Nova gave them a charming smile, causing them to blush. Such was Nova’s charm towards women now.

He had truly become charming enough to make Elaris, the Eternal Queen of Lust herself, pursue him so desperately. Such was the level of Nova’s charm now.

Nyxara and Velena waited in the hall, giving Nova some alone time to spend with his mother. Soon, Nova reached his mother’s room. She was reading a book when Nova knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" Jenna’s voice came from inside.

"Mom, it’s me."

Running footsteps sounded from inside, and within seconds, Jenna opened the door without wasting any time. She saw her son standing in front of her, looking as handsome as ever.

Her eyes blurred as she remembered his pained expression after he had been injured in the battle against those powerful beings.

Her heart had ached terribly at that time. Now, seeing him completely fine again, she was truly happy.

"My baby!"

Jenna hugged Nova tightly, her eyes filling with tears of happiness as she saw her son safe and sound. She knew that during this time, he must have spent months recovering and raising his strength.

She felt terrible imagining her only son going through so much pain. Nova’s heart warmed as he also felt bad. He never wanted to see his mother make such a sad face.

Yet every time he had to make her worry, he knew he still wasn’t strong enough to do everything without making his mother worry about him. But now, things had changed. He had grown tremendously stronger.

"It’s alright, Mom. I’m all better now," Nova said warmly as he rubbed his mother’s back.

She pulled back, sniffled, and said, "Your—sniff—father and I were really worried."

Nova nodded and smiled.

"I know, Mom... and I’m sorry for making you two worry again."

"It’s alright, son... you don’t have to be sorry. Mom knows that you have become really powerful, and the things you do are things Mom and Father can’t comprehend because we are still weak. So just be careful next time," Jenna said with a smile.

"Don’t worry, Mom. Just like you are in the King Realm, it won’t be long before you also become a powerhouse along with everyone else in our family."

Jenna nodded.

After that, Nova talked about a few more things with his mother and spent some more time with her. Eventually, they both came to the hall, where Asia and Rieka were already present.

Nyxara, Velena, and Liya were sitting there as well. Nova knew Liya must have upgraded after his evolution, which would also be her third upgrade.

That meant she could now spend more time outside in the real world. However, he still needed to know exactly how much.

There were many more things he needed to discuss with Liya. He still had yet to see the rewards from completing the quest, and he also needed to transform the new Emperor-ranked Deadborns he had obtained.

As soon as Rieka and Asia saw Nova, they ran towards him and hugged him tightly. They had missed him just as much as Nyxara, Liya, and Velena had.

However, they didn’t go as far as directly kissing Nova since the maids and Jenna were standing there. Soon, they all sat on the couches, as there were many things to discuss.

"Darling... you have broken through to the Emperor Realm!" Rieka said as she sat close to him.

Nova smiled and said, "Yes, I did."

Rieka’s happiness spiked after hearing her darling’s words. He was now a true powerhouse, standing on the same footing as those powerful Emperor Realm powerhouses they had feared not long ago.

She still remembered the day she met her darling as clearly as if it had happened yesterday.

Back then, he had looked like nothing more than a goofy, ignorant boy. Yet, he had shocked her with his power inside that hellish dungeon—and then continued shocking her again and again.

At some point, she had simply gotten used to his unusual yet charming existence. But now, her darling had grown so powerful that she knew one thing for certain.

He wasn’t an ordinary Level 1 Emperor like the others.

"Husband, so you can also use a Domain now that you are an Emperor?" Asia asked eagerly, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. She sat on the other side of Nova, close to him.

Nyxara wanted to sit close to Nova as well, but she knew she couldn’t have him all the time. She understood that and let Rieka and Asia sit next to him.

At some point, she had also come to understand that Rieka was his first wife, Asia was his second, Liya was his third, and she was his fourth, which made sense since she had come into his life later.

Although she couldn’t change that fact, Nova’s women never really talked about who came first or second. Still, women naturally cared about such things, so Nyxara was a little insecure about it.

Yet she knew Nova wasn’t going to show favoritism between them. He loved all of them equally and deeply.

Coming back to the conversation, Nova answered Asia. "Yes, I can use a Domain now, though I still have to refine it, as mine is a little different."

Of course, Nova’s Domain wasn’t going to be normal. He possessed two innate skills and multiple affinities, so even Nova was puzzled about what kind of Domain he would ultimately develop.

Usually, after reaching the Emperor Realm, everyone gained a natural understanding of what their Domain would be like. However, Nova’s case was a little different. He would have to discover his Domain through experience.

Although he had a few ideas in his mind about what might happen when he activated it, he still didn’t completely know what his Domain would become.

Fortunately, he had more than enough time to experiment with it and refine it inside the Training Space, so he didn’t think too much about it.

After all, every Emperor Realm powerhouse needed time to refine their Domain, gradually making it more effective and increasing its power and overall strength.

"Hehe, I can’t wait to see it," Asia said excitedly, as she also had a Domain-like skill and wanted to see her husband’s true Domain.

"Yeah, I also can’t wait to let all of you see it," Nova said before continuing, "Anyway, now let’s get into the main topic... How are things outside?"

Just as he said that, Edward and Theodore arrived at the mansion.

Edward and Theodore saw Nova sitting with everyone, fit and fine, looking completely recovered and stronger than before. Edward’s heart filled with happiness.

"Son, you are better now."

"Yes, Father," Nova said with a smile.

Edward smiled as he was truly happy to see his son fine again. Nova had really made him worry a lot this time. Though, as a man, he understood his son’s feelings.

He was also really proud of him, even though he didn’t always say it openly.

"It’s good that you are better now, Nova... Now, let’s have dinner together, everyone, and we’ll talk about the important situation." Said Theodore.
