Chapter 252: Velena’s Shock

"Yeah, let’s go."

Azren was about to open a spatial rift when his communication stone suddenly buzzed.

It was a message from 115, a Bloodmoon Cult member they had captured on the Beastfolk Continent.

They had placed their mana seals on the captured member, putting them completely under their control. In this way, they had placed many informants throughout Astrae.

They thought they should have done this from the beginning.

"What is it?" Azren answered.

"My Lord, something very big happened in the human continent, at the capital of the Eastern Kingdom Aureth," 115 spoke urgently.

Azren and Voren raised their eyebrows upon hearing 115’s words. He continued, "I’m sending you the recorded projection."

Soon, Azren received a projection of the capital—the same recording that was rapidly spreading throughout the world.

They watched it together, and their expressions changed multiple times, going from shock to disbelief again and again.

After watching the entire recorded projection, Azren immediately opened a spatial rift. Without wasting another second, he and Voren disappeared inside it.

In the capital of Aureth, Vaunis...

Nearly half a day had already passed since Caelan had gone to the Beastfolk Continent. While he was gone, more powerhouses had arrived in Vaunis Imperial Kingdom in case the enemies attacked again while the Human Emperor was away.

The attack had caused quite a lot of destruction. The explosion at the beginning of the chaos had destroyed large areas of the capital in every direction, while several hundred citizens, including guests from other kingdoms, had been killed by the hybrids.

Although the Royal Guards, Twilight Order, and Holy Knights had managed to save most of the people, this was still going to be a huge blow to Aureth, and the citizens remained frightened.

The youths participating in the tournament and the nobles had been safely protected, and none of them had died. As time passed, things gradually began returning to normal.

The reward ceremony had been announced to be held a week later for Nova and the other four winners. Many questions had been raised about Nova’s identity.

However, since they knew he was human and simply happened to share the same name as the Slaughter Monarch, they didn’t actively pursue the matter. It had only been a few hours, after all, and nobody had even questioned where he was yet.

Almost all the nobles had already returned to their residences under the full protection of their respective Knight Orders, as the authorities had announced that the situation was now under control.

Soon, the authorities received a message from the Beastfolk Continent. They had also been attacked.

It had only been one kingdom, just like on the human continent, though more people had been killed there than in the human kingdom.

Their Emperor had been present, and they had also faced a Sovereign, though he wasn’t as powerful as Zeon. The Beastfolk Continent also had a Sovereign of its own, though he was only a Level 1 Sovereign.

With this information, one thing became clear. The Eclipse Order had some kind of motive that nobody could understand.

Why had they attacked two major continents? Why hadn’t they gone all out?Or were they simply trying to show the Great Powers how powerful they had become and announce that they were now capable of challenging them?

Aurora, Draeven, and Lyra stayed in Vaunis, as their continents had not been attacked and their respective powerful Emperors were already present there.

They also stated that if Demon Lord Kharos attacked again, they would stay and help. Not to mention, Elaris was here as well, and who knew what she might do.

Even without all that, one person had an even bigger reason to remain here—and that was Aurora. She had many things on her mind that only she knew about. She had never been this puzzled by any being in her entire life.

She couldn’t understand Nova’s existence. She really wanted to find him and ask him herself, even if she now had to force him to answer.

While all this was happening, Nova’s family was present in the Frost Mansion, while Theodore, of course, was in the Royal Palace, busy handling the situation and answering questions about Nova.

Though, since everyone was busy, not many people asked him questions. Except, of course, King Leonis and a few other Dukes and Nobles.

Still, Theodore wanted Nova to get out of the System Space soon and show his face to the world before they came to his mansion and started searching for him.

Nova was now quite famous throughout the entire continent, if not all of Astrae.

He was known for being the youngest champion in the history of the Human Continent Grand Youth Tournament after defeating Liam Everhart—and for having the exact same name as the Slaughter Monarch.

Inside the System Space...

Nova sat on a mountain, his upper body bare, revealing his well-toned muscles. His hair had grown a little longer as he sat in a meditative position, and the aura surrounding him was enormous.

He radiated pressure that could easily crush a Level 1 or 2 Emperor easily. He had been in this position for six months now. Liya, Nyxara, and Velena watched him from afar.

Rieka and Asia were there as well, but they went out to check how things were going. They did this every four to five days inside the System Space.

They also trained while their husband was in his evolution phase, not wanting to simply sit around doing nothing. Instead, they used the time to sharpen their skills.

The scenery was a mountainous region. Nova sat on one mountain, while Nyxara, Velena, and Liya watched him from the top of different mountain.

"How much longer do you think it will take?" Nyxara asked Liya in an annoyed tone.

"Quit asking the same question again and again," Liya replied, rolling her eyes. Nyxara asked that every four to five hours, even though she herself had told Nova that it could take six to seven months, if not a year or even longer, sometimes.

"Yeah... but I miss him so much!" Nyxara said with a pout before continuing, "I want to kiss him so badly... and we haven’t had sex in six months."

"Tsk, shameless!" Liya said in an annoyed tone, even though she was feeling the same urge as Nyxara. She simply didn’t show it.

"Princess... again, you can go out and come back a few hours later. You won’t feel much difference in time, and you’ll miss him less," Velena said.

"No... I want to watch him break through. What if he does it while I’m out? And I want to keep looking at his handsome face!" Nyxara said possessively.

"Sigh... suit yourself," Velena said as she replied to her princess with her usual expressionless face.

"Hmm... you say that, but I know you also miss him and want to hear him call your name soon, right?" Liya teased Velena as she looked at her with a teasing smile.

"What are you saying? I don’t think about such things... Don’t make things up!" Velena replied as she turned her face away, a red shade appearing on her cheeks despite her face remaining calm.

"Sigh... quit pretending, woman. And let me say this to you: if you stay that neutral, Nova won’t look at you," Liya said.

Her words instantly caught Velena’s attention, and she turned around.

"Why would you say that?" she asked, her voice sounding worried.

Got her, Liya thought inwardly.

Nyxara shook her head, but deep down, she wanted Liya to push Velena so that she would stop feeling guilty about wanting to pursue Nova and become more selfish.

"You should understand this. Nova likes women who are possessive and express themselves clearly to him, and who are more forward towards him," Liya said, sounding like a love guru.

Velena listened to her with interest, a rare expression of curiosity appearing on her face that looked surprisingly cute on her. Liya continued.

"So you have to keep those things in mind. And all of us his wives know that you like him. Even your princess knows... and I bet Nova knows it as well," Liya concluded.

Velena was shocked to hear that. How did they know? Even her princess? She turned towards Nyxara, who awkwardly nodded her head.
