Chapter 244: Activating Chaotic Dragon Transformation
He had not expected to be able to kill a Level 2 Emperor so easily — though part of that success was due to continuously maintaining the Demon Lord’s aura.
Without further delay, Nova activated Voidborne Telekinesis and mixed it with Soul Pulse. One after another, he shattered the souls of the seven Emperor Realm warriors.
Ding!

The system panel flooded with continuous leveling notifications. Nova could clearly feel his strength growing at a dramatic rate — so much so that even Nyxara, Velena, and Liya sensed his aura rapidly increasing.
Yet Nova also noticed that he was no longer leveling as quickly as before. Even after killing multiple Emperor Realm existences, the growth had slowed.
He understood the reason well: the stronger he became, the more experience points he needed for each subsequent level.
After some time, the notifications finally stopped. Nova checked his status and saw that he had reached Level 4950 — almost on the verge of breaking through to Emperor realm.
He still had the soul of the Level 4 Emperor with him.
Because his own soul strength was already at an extremely high level, he had no problem handling the Level 4 Emperor’s soul and had sealed it with ease.
He finally turned toward Nyxara and Velena. Although they already knew and seen his powers many times now, they still could not help but feel astonishment every time they witnessed them.
Both women had lived for over a thousand years. With their long experience, they had seen many of the wonders and horrors this world had to offer... yet they had never encountered an anomaly like Nova.
{Are you really going to use that form?} Liya asked.
Nyxara’s expression turned serious.
"Yes, husband... if you do that, the entire world will be after you. My father may also realize that you are connected to Demon Lord Raze’s heart."
Nova had already given the matter considerable thought. In the end, he felt it would not matter much. Sooner or later, he would have to reveal his true existence to the world.
Doing it now would not change anything significant — not when he already possessed the means to protect himself even against threats like Kharos and Caelan.
He could abandon the quest, since there was no penalty for failing it. However, he did not want to do that.
He also wanted to uncover what the Eclipse Order was truly planning... and take his revenge against Albert and Ron if the opportunity presented itself.
"It’s alright. I’ll be fine."
With those words, Nova disappeared from the system space and reappeared outside. Only a few seconds had passed in the real world.
....
Back to the present..
Everyone was still wondering how he had appeared so suddenly — without any spatial fluctuation or rift. Was he using the Void? That should have been impossible.
Only one known existence in this world possessed that affinity. Kharos noticed that Nyxara and Velena were no longer with him.
"Where is my daughter, boy?" he asked coldly.
"She’s in a safe place," Nova replied calmly.
His Instinct Dominion was operating at its absolute peak, ready to react the moment any Sovereign attempted to attack him. He knew full well that he could not fight them head-on right now — he could only run.
Across the continent, people watching the broadcast were stunned by the appearance of such an existence casually challenging so many powerhouses at once.
They still could not tell which side he was on, though they remembered the clear hostility he had shown toward the commanders of the Twilight Order.
He also seemed to have killed the brother of the Dragon Leader of the Eclipse Order.
Kharos’s voice turned colder.
"Are you really going to oppose the demons... as a demon yourself? And Nyxara is my daughter. Do you truly believe you can keep her as you please? Do you really think I cannot kill you?"
His aura surged violently. Killing intent and demonic pressure exploded outward at the same time.
Many Level 1 and Level 2 Emperors of the human army struggled to breathe under the pressure. Caelan immediately covered his forces with his own aura so they would not be crushed.
Lyra, Vaorak, Draeven, and the other powerful existences stood in silence, trying to understand exactly who this man was. They could tell he was not as strong as the Demon Lord or the Human Emperor... yet none of them dared to underestimate him.
Aurora, however, watched Nova in complete silence. More than anyone else, she was surprised.
She knew who this man truly was — was this really the same boy who had been fighting in the tournament earlier? She could not determine whether he was a demon, a human, or a hybrid. She could not even see through his race.
How had he become this powerful so quickly? Why did his aura feel so different that even she felt a slight sense of tension?
Elaris, on the other hand, watched the scene with a smile. She was also surprised.
The boy she had once seen in the Demon Realm — who had barely managed to defeat a Level 1 Emperor — was now this strong. Once again, Nova was impressing her.
Zero, meanwhile, was barely restraining himself from charging forward to kill the man.
Nova’s voice rang out clearly, carried across the entire capital and the continent through the ongoing broadcast.
"Yes... she is your daughter. But that does not mean she has to follow every word you say. You should ask yourself whether you have been a good father to her or not."
He continued without hesitation.
"I won’t go into the details — it’s your family matter. I also won’t interfere too much. She will take care of it herself... until she becomes strong enough to kill her mother’s murderer without having to fear the consequences.
Everyone’s eyes widened.
They all knew about that matter and the deep hatred Nyxara held toward Kharos. Yet no one had ever been brave enough to bring it up to the Demon Lord’s face — no one except Nyxara herself.
"You...!"
Kharos was about to speak when Nova cut him off.
"And as for opposing the demons... who said that opposing you means opposing the entire demon race?" Nova scoffed.
"Anyway, it wouldn’t matter. I am a demon... yet I am not."
His words left everyone confused. No one fully understood what he meant, yet no one attacked him either. Curiosity about his existence was too strong — if he was going to reveal something, they wanted to hear it.
"I—!"
Just as Nova was about to speak again, Zero’s control finally broke. Seeing that Nyxara was no longer beside Nova, he charged forward with full force.
Nova instantly sensed the attack. Before Zero could reach him, he vanished and reappeared in another location.
"Sigh..."
Nova sighed as he watched Zero’s bloodshot eyes lock onto him once more. The Sovereign charged again and again with insane speed, while Nova continuously used the system space to change his location.
"How is he even doing that?!" Vaorak asked in disbelief. "One second I can sense his existence, the next it completely disappears... then it appears again. And I don’t feel any spatial fluctuation at all!"
"You’re right," Draeven said, equally astonished. "I can’t see how he’s doing it either. It’s truly strange. He’s not strong enough to fight a Sovereign head-on... yet he’s playing with one. Just who is he?"
"Let’s just wait for now," Vaorak said. "But keep yourselves alert. Those bastards are still here, and we still don’t know their true intentions for this attack."
"And we should not forget that this strange man is not completely safe, as he seems to have enemies on both sides."
"This fucker..." Zeon cursed under his breath as he watched Zero completely ignore his commands once again.
Nova continued to dodge Zero’s attacks multiple times. No matter how fast the Sovereign moved, he could not catch him. Zero’s mind eventually turned blank with pure rage.
"Just stop already, you bastard!! I’ll tear you apart for killing my brother!!"
BOOOOM!
Zero activated his Dragon Transformation. His body rapidly expanded as his pressure surged higher and higher.
In mere moments, he transformed into a colossal brown-scaled dragon standing at least two hundred meters tall.
"ROOOOOAAAAARRRRR!!!"
Nova watched the transformation and let out a quiet sigh. Then he finally stopped moving.
"You really want to do this...? Fine then. I’ll show you the true strength of the Slaughter Monarch."
BOOOOM!
Nova’s overwhelming demonic aura suddenly began to change. As he activated the first stage of his Chaotic Dragon transformation, his pressure grew heavier and heavier. Everyone present instinctively created more distance.
The horns on his head shifted, becoming larger, thicker, and far more intimidating — even more so than Draeven’s. At the same time, a thick black dragon tail extended from behind him.
"This...!!"
Draeven’s eyes widened, and so did everyone else’s. Yet Nova’s transformation did not stop there.
Even Zero felt a completely different aura radiating from him — one that was distinct from pure demonic energy, yet still extremely powerful... and uncomfortably familiar.
"It’s the dragonic aura!!"
