Chapter 241: The Slaughter Monarch’s Rampage

"YOU MONGREL!! I’LL KILL YOU!!"

His Sovereign-level aura exploded outward without restraint. The sheer pressure blasted several Emperor Realm experts kilometers away as he charged straight at Nova with killing intent.

"Zero, no! Wait!!"

Zeon shouted at the charging dragon Sovereign, but Zero did not listen. He continued straight toward Nova.

Nova did not panic in the slightest. He simply stood there and watched.

Zero reached him in an instant. His sharp claws extended as he launched a devastating attack.

The pressure was so intense that the surrounding Emperor Realm experts could not even get close.

Just as the claws were about to land on Nova, they were intercepted.

Nyxara’s sword collided with Zero’s claws. Space itself cracked around them, and the passage of the void became visible for a brief moment.

Everyone across the continent — and every Emperor present — witnessed it. This was the power of a Level 1 Sovereign.

Fortunately, Zero was also a Level 1 Sovereign, though he stood at the peak of that level. Even so, he could not push Nyxara back even a single step.

"How dare you even think of harming my husband in front of me?!" Nyxara said furiously as she forced Zero backward.

While Nyxara confronted Zero, Drago and Void Wing continued their slaughter. The two Emperor Realm creatures tore through Level 1 Emperors with terrifying efficiency.

"Fuck! Why aren’t our attacks doing anything to them?!" several Eclipse Order members cursed as their techniques failed to leave lasting damage.

Drago and Void Wing tore and burned through them with ease. Watching these powerful creatures fight on their side, the human Emperors felt a wave of relief that the beasts had not turned against them instead.

"Idiots! Avoid fighting them directly — they’re undead!"

"They will only truly die when their master dies!"

A Level 5 Emperor shouted as he managed to cut Void Wing apart, only to watch the creature reform into one piece moments later.

Kharos watched his daughter’s behavior and cursed Nova in his heart. How had this man managed to manipulate his little girl into becoming this protective of him?

The same thought passed through the minds of Vaorak, Lyra, Draeven, and many others who knew Nyxara.

The cold, haughty Demon Princess they remembered was now acting like this... for a man.

"Is that so?" Zero snarled. "Then you can die together!"He attacked Nyxara once more.

"You fool! Don’t even think about hurting my daughter!"

Kharos’s voice thundered across the battlefield. Zero flinched under the sudden pressure and stopped mid-attack, finally coming back to his senses.

Nyxara cursed inwardly. She didn’t need help from her father, as she was more than capable of taking care of herself and fighting her enemies on her own.

This idiot...

Zeon thought as he continued exchanging blows with Vaorak. He shouted again:

"You bastard, get back here and follow the plan!" Zero turned around with an annoyed expression.

"But he killed Kiro! Look at what he has done to him!" He pointed at Drago, who was currently slaughtering Level 1 Emperors and even pressing against Level 2 ones, though the higher-level targets were not dying as easily.

"He’s already dead. There’s no point dwelling on it. We’ll have our revenge later. Return to your position. Now."

Zero looked back at Nova one last time and gritted his teeth. "I won’t give you an easy death... just wait, you bastard."

Nova stood calmly in place and replied in a casual tone:

"Sure, sure. Now get back to your master."

Zero’s teeth ground together so hard that many nearby could actually hear the sound. It only proved how much rage he was forcibly suppressing — and Nova was not missing a single chance to provoke him further.

"Hehehehe... he’s so naughty~"

Elaris laughed as she watched the exchange. Then she heard Aurora’s voice.

"Shut up, you crazy woman... and tell me why you attacked this kingdom."

Elaris’s expression immediately turned annoyed. She had never liked Aurora. People always claimed the elf was more beautiful than her, and she was more popular and beloved by men as well.

"Hmph. Even if I knew, I wouldn’t tell you."

Elaris tried to slash toward Aurora’s face. At their level, both women could perfectly control their auras and execute deadly moves without harming anyone else around them.

Zeon looked around at his army.

Many of his Emperors were being slaughtered by the two creatures. Although the human Emperors were also fighting the Eclipse Order’s forces, they were at a clear disadvantage in numbers.

On top of that, they had to carefully avoid serious injuries or death.

The Eclipse Order had far more Level 1 Emperors, and Void Wing and Drago had no fear of being killed.

They tore through their enemies with terrifying efficiency, storing the corpses directly into Nova’s inventory.

Zeon wanted nothing more than to kill Nova himself. He still could not see through the man’s true strength, but from the way Nyxara so fiercely protected him, he suspected Nova was weaker than the overwhelming demonic aura suggested.

However, if he tried to kill Nova, Nyxara would immediately intervene — and he could not afford to harm her.

Demon Lord Kharos was willing to help them for now, but he would never allow anyone to truly injure his daughter, even if she was openly opposing him.

Still, Zeon was not particularly worried. For the real objective he had come here to accomplish, he had already succeeded in distracting them.

Now he only needed to keep them engaged a little while longer. His thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a powerful attack.

"You bastard! Do you think you can afford to get distracted while facing me?!"

Vaorak’s roar rang out as he launched a heavy strike. Zeon quickly countered. The two of them were evenly matched in strength.

Even while fighting, Vaorak felt a growing sense of surprise. How had these bastards managed to grow their army so powerful in such a short time?

Meanwhile, Nova moved forward with Velena and Nyxara. Seeing that no one was currently targeting him, he headed straight toward the Eclipse Order’s ranks.

Rouve appeared in his hand. Using Spatial Traversal, he instantly appeared behind a Level 1 Emperor.

Without hesitation, he unleashed Soul Pulse.

The Emperor’s soul was destroyed on the spot. His body collapsed lifelessly and was immediately stored into Nova’s inventory.

As he killed the guy, a large number of level-up notifications appeared before him, though Nova ignored them for the time being.

Every powerhouse on the battlefield felt the nature of that attack. Shock spread across their faces.

"That... that was a soul attack!"

"Gosh... he killed that Emperor so easily and completely destroyed his soul!"

Kharos and Caelan both witnessed it. For a brief moment, both of them considered capturing Nova — but neither could afford to leave the other unattended.

Nova did not stop.

Seeing how easily he could eliminate a Level 1 Emperor, he appeared in front of a Level 2 Emperor next. The man could not even react in time.

Black lightning crackled around Nova as he severed the Emperor’s head while simultaneously using Soul Pulse once more.

At that moment, a Level 5 Emperor attacked him from behind. Nova sensed it instantly and activated Void Veil, completely erasing his presence. A moment later, he reappeared a short distance away.

Velena was also cutting down Eclipse Order members. Although she could not destroy their souls as easily as Nova, she sealed them instead and passed the sealed souls to Alpha, who appeared beside her and stored everything into Nova’s inventory.

Nyxara, on the other hand, focused solely on protecting Nova and eliminating anyone he could not handle. So far, she had only needed to kill a single Level 4 Emperor.

Seeing more and more of his forces being slaughtered, Zeon finally shouted:

"Lord Kharos! Remove the spatial seal around the capital, or my army will be completely destroyed by your daughter and that cursed Slaughter Monarch!"

Kharos watched the battlefield with a complicated expression. His daughter was truly giving him trouble and disrupting his allies’ plans.

"Sigh... that girl." In the next moment, Kharos suddenly expanded his aura.
