Chapter 240: You Killed My Brother

Nyxara growled at her. "Who are you calling ’little girl’?"

Nova calmly held her back before looking at Aurora.

"Why did you help us?"

Aurora remained silent for a moment. Then her gaze locked onto him.

"Tell me, Nova Valencrest... how did you transform yourself into a demon?"

Nova was startled by Aurora’s sudden and unexpected question. Behind the mask, his eyes widened slightly. Even Nyxara looked surprised.

Nova answered calmly.

"You’ve got the wrong person, lady."

Aurora shook her head. Her breathtaking figure stood gracefully in front of him, long blonde hair flowing in the wind as she continued.

"You don’t have to hide it from me. I understand that others cannot see through you — not even Demon Lord Kharos or the Human Emperor.

But even though I am weaker than them, I can see what others cannot."She then turned toward Nyxara.

"You should have told your husband this... you know it better than anyone."

"Tsk."Nyxara clicked her tongue. She clearly understood what Aurora meant, though Nova was still confused.

{It might be related to her powers,} Liya said quietly. Nova knew he was currently standing before one of the strongest women in this world.

Seeing that Nova remained silent, Aurora surprisingly did not press further.

"I understand if you don’t want to say anything. I won’t force you... it doesn’t concern me." Her tone remained calm even after realizing the truth.

"But if whatever you do ever brings innocent civilians into danger... I will kill you myself.

"You don’t have t—"

Nova was not able to finish his words when a powerful aura suddenly surged toward them.

"OH NOVA, DARLING~ WHY ARE YOU IGNORING ME!!"

Elaris was charging straight at them. Aurora finished what she needed to say and immediately flew forward to intercept her.

The two women collided mid-air. Aurora drew a green sword and launched an attack, which Elaris blocked with an annoyed expression.

"You bitch! Weren’t all the men drooling after you in this world already enough?! Now you’re going after my man — a little boy?!" Elaris shouted at Aurora.

Nova and Nyxara both rolled their eyes.

Many others were confused by her words as well. Was the mysterious man standing there truly young enough for her to call him a "little boy"?

Caelan heard the exchange while clashing with Kharos and called out sharply:

"Tell me, you bastard — who is that man? You must have something to do with him!"

Kharos answered while continuing the fight.

"I know you won’t believe me, but I have no idea. He came to my kingdom, beat my son, took my daughter with him... and he’s not even twenty years old."

Many eyes across both armies widened at those words. While they continued fighting, the revelation spread quickly.

Across the entire continent, people watching the broadcast were equally shocked. A boy who was not even twenty... possessed this level of power?

The situation was growing more chaotic by the second. Aurora did not bother answering Elaris. She had no intention of engaging with her nonsense.

"You shouldn’t have left the Abyss in the first place."

"Hmph! Who are you to tell me that? This isn’t even your continent — fuck off!" Elaris snapped as she intensified her attacks.

From Nova’s perspective, both women appeared to be on the same power level.

He decided not to dwell on Aurora’s earlier words any longer. She had already made it clear she would not act against him unless innocent people were endangered.

"Don’t worry about her, husband," Nyxara said beside him. "She won’t be a problem. I know her... she is the most neutral existence that has ever existed."

"Sigh... alright."

Nova looked around. He had already displayed the might of the Slaughter Monarch for everyone to see. He could clearly feel that the Sovereign-level warriors were still not fighting at their full power.

The Emperor Realm powerhouses, however, were giving everything they had, and the battles were growing deadlier.

Thanks to thoroughly refining Demon Lord Raze’s aura and greatly increasing his own strength, Nova felt no backlash from maintaining the overwhelming pressure.

He glanced at Nyxara and nodded.

In the next second, Velena stepped out of a spatial rift beside them. Her powerful aura spread outward, and many immediately became aware of her presence.

Still, they remained focused on their own fights — relieved that these crazy powerhouses were not fully participating.

That relief did not last long.

Nova moved. Together with Velena, Nyxara, and two new figures he advanced.

SKREEEEEEEEEHHH—!

Void Wing let out a piercing cry as its Level 1 Emperor aura exploded outward. Its colossal body covered a large portion of the sky.

"What is that?!"

"Fuck... it looks terrifying!"

"Is that even a demonic beast?!"

"And it’s an Emperor Realm beast... look, there’s another one!"

Drago also moved. Then, to everyone’s shock, on Nova’s command the creature transformed.

Its body expanded rapidly, scales spreading across its form as it took on the shape of a massive black dragon.

The colossal nightmare-like dragon floated in the air, its entire body covered in deep black scales that shimmered with faint purple radiance.

Its eyes glowed with the same violet light, and an oppressive, ancient aura radiated from it. It looked both intimidating and breathtaking — a deadborn that no longer resembled any ordinary dragon.

"ROOOOOAAAAARRRRR!!"

Drago’s roar shook the entire captial as it charged toward the Eclipse Order members alongside Void Wing. They had received only one order from their Monarch:

Kill as many as you can... and do not let their souls escape.

"What the fuck?!"

"A dragon?!"

Draeven and the two dragon-related Sovereigns of the Eclipse Order widened their eyes as they watched the colossal black dragon follow Nova’s commands without hesitation.

Both the dragon and the giant bird looked completely different from ordinary creatures of their kind.

Albert shouted so that everyone nearby could hear: "My lords! That’s his power! He can turn those he kills into his minions!"

Ron was sweating heavily. How the hell did that man already have a dragon under his control? And the massive bird was clearly no ordinary beast either. Both of them were at the Emperor Realm.

Elaris and Kharos recognized the bird immediately.

"That’s a beast from the Abyss... from the Third Level’s Abyssal Beast Forest."

Aurora glanced at the two enormous creatures, then at Nova. No one could tell what thoughts were passing through her mind as she continued focusing on her fight against Elaris.

"Fuck... can’t you wait until I’m done focusing on my darling?!" Elaris complained angrily while countering Aurora’s attacks.

Although the two women were exchanging blows, neither of them was truly serious. In this world, powerhouses of their level rarely fought with full strength unless they had an extremely serious reason. A serious injury could take hundreds of years to recover from.

For some reason, Aurora, Caelan, Vaorak, and the others could all sense it — none of the highest-level combatants were taking this battle seriously. They had come here merely to waste time.

Before anyone could further consider the true motive behind this sudden attack, a crazed shout tore through the sky.

"YOU BASTARD!! YOU’RE THE ONE!!"

"YOU’RE THE ONE WHO KILLED MY LITTLE BROTHER!!"

The dragon Sovereign who had arrived with Elaris roared as his eyes locked onto the massive black dragon.

Even though Drago’s aura and overall presence had completely changed, the fundamental shape of its dragon form remained. That alone was enough for him to recognize it.

More importantly, his brother had also been a Level 1 Emperor Realm dragon.

Nova halted for a brief moment when he heard the shout. Then a mocking smile formed behind the mask.

"Ohh... so that pathetic weakling of a dragon was your brother? No wonder he looked so ugly when I snapped his neck."

The dragon Sovereign’s eyes turned blood-red with pure rage.

"YOU MONGREL!! I’LL KILL YOU!!"

His Sovereign-level aura exploded outward without restraint.

The sheer pressure blasted several Emperor Realm experts kilometers away as he charged straight at Nova with killing intent.
