My Reconstruction Talent is too OP!!!
Chapter 179: Academy
The next morning, Kaiser woke up early and began getting ready for his daily classes at the academy.
After washing up, he took out his academy uniform and examined it.
’I have to say, the uniforms in this world are pretty stylish.’
Unlike the ordinary school uniforms he had seen in his previous life, the academy uniform looked more like a three-piece suit. It consisted of a fitted jacket, a formal shirt, and matching trousers, with the academy’s emblem embroidered on the chest.
The symbol consisted of a silver leaf resting atop a book engulfed in flames. It represented the academy’s belief that knowledge would never be lost as long as the leaves scattered from its vast tree continued to spread it throughout the world.
The design was simple but elegant, giving the students a neat and professional appearance.
Kaiser put on the uniform and adjusted his collar before looking at himself in the mirror.
"Not bad. It suits me pretty well."
He checked his appearance one last time before putting his belongings into his inventory. Since he didn’t need to carry a bag around, getting ready was much easier for him.
After making sure he hadn’t forgotten anything, Kaiser left his room and headed downstairs for breakfast.
His mother was in the kitchen preparing breakfast, while his father sat at the table, looking through the latest news on his tablet. Seeing the familiar scene, Kaiser smiled.
’I missed this,’ he thought as he took his seat at the table.
"How does it feel?" Michael asked.
"Not a pleasant feeling," Kaiser replied.
His father smiled. "I know. I felt the same way when I learned that I had to return to the academy."
He chuckled before nodding thoughtfully.
"Though I have to admit, your time at the academy will be quite different from now on. You’ll soon learn what I mean, and it might change the way you see things from now on."
Michael’s tone became serious, causing Kaiser to raise an eyebrow.
"What is it?" he asked.
"I can’t tell you. I’ve taken an oath not to reveal this information to anyone. Only the officials are allowed to tell you about it," Michael explained.
"But whatever you choose, we’ll be proud of you," his mom added.
"Choose? Choose what?" Kaiser asked, looking between his parents.
"As your father said, we can’t tell you anything because we’ve taken an oath. You’ll have to take the same oath today," his mom explained.
"After that, we’ll be able to talk about it properly. Your other classmates might have already taken this oath months ago. You, Alex, and little Cia(Alicia) are the only ones left."
She paused before continuing.
"That’s also the reason the academy has been pushing you to return."
"Now you’re making it sound even more mysterious," Kaiser said.
"It’s the law," Michael replied with a shrug.
Kaiser continued eating his breakfast, wondering what this mysterious matter could be. Even the delicious food no longer held his full attention after hearing his parents talk about the oath and the information they were forbidden from revealing.
’Guess I’ll find out soon enough,’ he thought.
He finished his breakfast and nodded at his parents.
"Alright, I’ll listen to what they have to say."
Both of them nodded.
"And as your mother said, no matter what you choose, we’ll always be proud of you," Michael added once again.
Kaiser nodded before getting up and leaving for the academy.
After booking a cab, he arrived at Silver Leaf Academy, the most prestigious and oldest academy in Silver Leaf City.
Getting admitted to this academy wasn’t easy. Applicants had to pass several tests to prove their abilities before being accepted.
Kaiser had managed to secure his admission thanks to the knowledge and memories he had retained from his previous life. Without them, getting into such a prestigious institution would have been considerably more difficult.
As Kaiser entered his classroom, he immediately noticed something strange. Every student inside was emitting a power he was very familiar with.
’How?’
He stopped near the doorway and carefully observed his classmates. Even the weakest among them was emitting the same kind of power.
’Rules?’
Kaiser narrowed his eyes.
He knew just how difficult it was to comprehend a Rule. He had been trying to understand one himself, but despite his abilities and extensive experience, he hadn’t succeeded yet.
Yet his classmates were displaying the power of Rules as if it were something completely ordinary.
’What the hell is going on?’
Kaiser was genuinely baffled. He had expected some changes after returning to the academy, but he hadn’t imagined anything like this.
"I was just as surprised when I first noticed it," Alex said, approaching him.
Kaiser turned toward his friend.
"You know what’s happening?"
"Not really. According to my father, we’ll find out soon enough."
Alex shrugged, though he still looked somewhat confused himself.
Kaiser fell silent.
’Is this related to what Mom and Dad were talking about this morning?’
He remembered their strange conversation about an oath and a choice that would supposedly change the way he viewed things. At the time, he hadn’t thought much of it, but now he was beginning to suspect that the two matters were connected.
’Fuck, why do I feel like my world is about to turn upside down again?’
He sighed and walked toward his usual seat.
Before he could sit down, however, a familiar and irritating voice reached his ears.
"Yo! Looks like you guys are finally back!"
Kaiser turned his head and saw Kevin approaching with his usual group of followers.
However, what caught Kaiser’s attention wasn’t Kevin’s annoying grin. It was the power radiating from his body.
Kevin was emitting the power of a Rule as well.
Kaiser examined the aura for a moment.
’According to its aura, it’s probably just a Lesser Rule.’
Although there was a difference between comprehending a complete Supreme Rule and possessing a lesse Rule, the fact that Kevin had reached this stage was still surprising.
Kevin stopped in front of Kaiser and Alex, looking rather pleased with himself.
"So, you guys thought getting into this class was a big deal, huh? Well, things have changed."
He paused an then adding with a grin he said " Now we all possess a power that is better than your classes" he said looking down at Alex and Kaiser.
He spread his arms as if he were announcing some great achievement.
Kaiser stared at him for a moment before looking toward the other students.
’Everyone has it. Does that mean this is something the academy has been preparing them for?’
He leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms.
’Fine. I’ll wait and see what the academy has to say about this.’
