Kaiser looked at the enormous building again.

"With this many powerful people gathering here, there should be plenty of rare items being sold. If we’re lucky, we might find something useful."

Alex thought about it for a moment before nodding.

"That’s true."

Kaiser looked toward the entrance of the auction house.

"Let’s find out when the next auction will be held. We should also ask when the next Grand Auction and Supreme Auction are scheduled."

"Alright."

The two turned their undead horses toward the Redali Auction House.

As they approached the building, Kaiser noticed that the entrance was heavily guarded. Several well-equipped guards stood on both sides of the large doors, while a few people dressed in expensive clothing entered and left the building.

Unlike the Adventurer Guild, the auction house had a much more luxurious appearance. The walls were covered with intricate magical carvings, and several large crystals were embedded into the structure, constantly releasing a faint magical glow.

Kaiser and Alex dismounted from their undead horses before walking toward the entrance.

One of the guards stepped forward.

"Welcome to the Redali Auction House. Are you here to participate in an auction or inquire about the upcoming schedule?"

Alex glanced at Kaiser before answering.

"We’re here to inquire about the upcoming auctions."

The guard nodded and pointed toward the reception area inside.

"You can ask the reception desk. They will provide you with the information you need."

"Thank you."

Kaiser and Alex entered the auction house.

The interior was even more impressive than the outside. A massive hall stretched before them, with several crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Numerous people were moving around while attendants guided customers toward different areas.

Kaiser looked around for a moment before spotting a reception desk.

The two walked over.

A young woman standing behind the desk greeted them with a professional smile.

"Welcome to the Redali Auction House. How may I assist you?"

Alex spoke first.

"We would like to know when the next auction will be held."

The receptionist nodded.

"Certainly. The next monthly auction will be held in five days."

Kaiser nodded.

"How about the next Grand Auction?"

The receptionist checked the information on the magical crystal placed on the desk.

"The next Grand Auction will be held in approximately eight months."

Kaiser sighed inwardly.

’By then, I’ll be much stronger. That auction might not even have anything I want by that time.’

Eight months was simply too far away.

Kaiser then turned his attention back to the receptionist.

"And the Supreme Auction?"

The receptionist paused for a moment before checking the records again. After a few seconds, she looked up with a polite smile.

"The last Supreme Auction was held nine years ago."

Alex’s eyes widened slightly.

"Nine years?"

The receptionist nodded.

"Yes. Since the Supreme Auction is held once every ten years, the next one will be held one month from now."

Kaiser nodded thoughtfully.

"So the next monthly auction is in five days, the next Grand Auction is in eight months, and the next Supreme Auction is in one month."

"That is correct."

Kaiser glanced toward Alex.

"Good. At least now we know."

Alex nodded, clearly pleased with the information.

"We’re lucky that the next Supreme Auction is only one month away," he said. "I wonder what kind of things we can get there. However, for that, we’ll need to work on our stealth methods. Afterall with our Rank, we will be easy target for others."

Kaiser looked at him with a faint smile.

"Don’t worry about me. I already have a great stealth method. But what about you?"

Alex looked at him curiously.

"You do?"

Kaiser smiled.

"Yes, I have a great stealth method."

It was technically a lie.

At least, it was a lie for now.

However, within a few days, it would become the truth.

Kaiser was planning to create an undead capable of dramatically increasing his mana. Once that was done, he would have enough mana to use Reconstruction on a suitable stealth-related item and upgrade it all the way to the Mythical Rank.

With such an item, hiding his presence from even powerful experts would become much easier.

For now, however, Alex had no reason to know about his plan.

The two thanked the receptionist before leaving the desk.

As they walked back toward the entrance, Alex continued thinking about the upcoming Supreme Auction.

"One month isn’t much time," he said. "We should make sure we’re prepared before it begins."

Kaiser nodded.

"Agreed. We have plenty of things to do before then."

The two left the auction house and returned to the busy streets of Redali, making their way toward the inn district.

After searching for a while, they found a decent inn that offered rooms for 1,000 Cosmic Credits per day and night. Since they planned to stay in Redali for the next month until the Supreme Auction, they immediately booked two rooms for the entire month.

An hour later, both of them had freshened up and were sitting on the floor of their room, eating dinner and drinking.

Slam!

Alex slammed his jug onto the table.

"Fuck, that hit the spot."

Kaiser rolled his eyes.

"You should cut back on the alcohol."

Alex shrugged and took another drink.

"Man, alcohol is the second-best invention of God."

Kaiser raised an eyebrow.

"What’s the first?"

Alex didn’t even hesitate.

"Of course, it’s beautiful ladies."

He said it with a shameless grin before glancing toward a nearby table where several women were sitting and winking at them. The women saw him winking at them and immediately blushed, while the men accompanying them looked at Alex with annoyed expressions.

Kaiser shook his head.

Alex’s playboy nature was clearly resurfacing.

With his natural handsome face and his originally awakened charm-related Talent, he was quickly becoming quite the womanizer.

"I bet if you weren’t in that Elf city where they look down on humans, you would’ve already slept with all the beautiful women there," Kaiser said with a teasing smile. "You might even have formed a whole team consisting entirely of beautiful women."

Alex nodded without hesitation.

"Yeah. What a pity I had such terrible circumstances."

Kaiser’s lips twitched.

"That’s not exactly a compliment."

Alex simply smiled and continued drinking, completely shameless about his own plan.
