The group continued deeper into the mountains, following the route discovered by Kaiser’s assassin undead.

As they moved farther from the outer region, the snow became thicker and the trees grew taller. The temperature also continued to drop, but the cold did not bother Kaiser or his undead.

After walking for some time, one of the assassin undead suddenly appeared in front of Kaiser and bowed.

"Master, I found another monster hunting ground ahead."

Kaiser nodded.

"How far away is it?"

"About fifteen minutes from here. There are more than a hundred Frost Trolls in the area, along with several other monsters."

Michael immediately became interested.

"Frost Trolls?"

The assassin undead nodded.

"Yes. I counted more than a hundred."

Michael smiled.

"Perfect. Let’s go."

Kaiser looked at his father.

"Alright, but remember that Frost Trolls are Rank 2 monsters. Their regeneration is extremely powerful, so don’t let them surround you."

Michael nodded confidently.

"Don’t worry. I’ll be careful."

Emilia looked at him with some concern.

"I’ll stay nearby. If you need healing, just tell me."

Michael smiled.

"Thanks."

The group continued following the assassin undead until they reached a large open area between the mountains.

Several Frost Trolls were wandering through the snow. They were much larger than the Frost Goblins they had fought earlier, with muscular bodies covered in pale-blue skin.

Some carried massive clubs made from tree trunks, while others relied entirely on their bodies as weapons.

Michael looked at them with interest.

"So those are Frost Trolls."

Kaiser nodded.

"Yes. Their regeneration is extremely fast, so ordinary attacks won’t keep them down for long."

He paused before continuing.

"Not to mention that most Frost Trolls are naturally born fighters, much like Orcs. Their physical strength is already impressive, and they have learned how to use their bodies effectively in combat."

Unlike the mindless trolls often found in stories, these Frost Trolls were intelligent enough to take advantage of their natural abilities. Their incredible regeneration allowed them to fight recklessly without worrying too much about injuries, and over time, they had developed their own effective fighting style.

Their claws, fists, teeth, and massive bodies could all be used as weapons. Combined with their strength and regeneration, even a Frost Troll of the same rank could pose a serious threat to another Rank 2 creature.

Michael’s interest grew as he listened.

"So they aren’t just strong because of their regeneration."

"Exactly," Kaiser replied. "Their combat experience and natural fighting instincts make them much more dangerous than they appear."

Michael raised the Glacial Wyvern King Greatsword and smiled.

"Then I’ll have to see for myself how strong they are."

He stepped forward while the Death Knights and Frost Undead remained behind.

Kaiser watched him with a smile.

"Go ahead, Dad."

Michael nodded and continued toward the nearest group of Frost Trolls.

The Frost Trolls soon noticed him. They immediately picked up their weapons and began moving toward him, their heavy footsteps shaking the snow beneath them.

Michael lowered his stance and tightened his grip on the greatsword.

This time, he was facing monsters of the same rank as himself, and he was looking forward to seeing how much his new strength could do.

Michael looked at the group of more than a hundred Frost Trolls approaching him. The ground shook slightly beneath their heavy footsteps as the trolls roared and charged forward.

Their bodies were surrounded by faint bluish auras as they released their mana. Their muscular bodies and powerful regeneration made them look far more dangerous than the Frost Goblins Michael had fought earlier.

Michael remained calm as he watched them approach.

"Time to see if I still remember my moves."

He tightened his grip around the Glacial Wyvern King Greatsword.

The Frost Trolls rushed toward him from all directions. Some raised their massive clubs, while others relied on their fists and claws.

Michael did not retreat.

Instead, he activated the ability he had gained from his newly bonded Frost Dragon.

Frost Overlord.

The moment the ability activated, a powerful icy aura erupted from Michael’s body.

His hair immediately turned pure white, while a faint blue glow surrounded his entire body. The temperature around him dropped rapidly, and frost began spreading across the ground beneath his feet.

The Glacial Wyvern King Greatsword also reacted to the power.

A layer of pure frost energy wrapped around the blade, making the sword shine with a cold blue light.

Michael could feel his physical strength increasing as the power of the Frost Dragon strengthened his body. His senses also became sharper, allowing him to clearly track every Frost Troll rushing toward him.

He smiled slightly.

"Alright, let’s see how strong you really are."

The first Frost Troll reached him and swung its massive club downward.

Michael raised his greatsword and blocked the attack head-on.

Bang!

The impact sent snow flying in every direction, but Michael remained firmly in place.

He pushed the club aside and immediately swung his greatsword toward the Frost Troll’s body.

The blade cut through its thick flesh, but the wound began closing almost immediately.

Michael raised an eyebrow.

"So the regeneration really is that fast."

The Frost Troll roared and attacked again.

Michael stepped aside and avoided the attack before striking it once more.

This time, he focused his frost energy through the greatsword, freezing the wound as soon as the blade cut through the troll’s body.

The regeneration slowed noticeably.

Michael smiled.

"If I freeze the wounds, their regeneration becomes much slower."

More Frost Trolls rushed toward him.

Michael raised his greatsword as the Frost Overlord ability continued to strengthen his body.

"Then let’s deal with all of you at once."

He stepped forward and charged directly into the group of Frost Trolls.

Michael charged directly into the group of Frost Trolls, swinging his greatsword as he moved.

The first Frost Troll tried to strike him with its massive club, but Michael easily avoided the attack and cut across its chest.

The wound immediately began to regenerate, but before the flesh could completely close, frost energy spread through it and froze the damaged area.

Michael quickly followed with another slash and finished the Frost Troll.

He turned toward the next one without stopping.
